Triter's pinnace dove at the long, duranium arrowhead that loomed in space before him. Turbolaser bolts sleeted by around him, the remaining cannons on the surface of the giant Sith warship doing their best to sweep away the fighters and other small craft that buzzed around the dreadnaught like gnats.
"All craft, keep yourselves spread out! Don't bunch up and make yourselves a target!" Triter called over the comm, adjusting his approach. "We're going to do a couple of passes over the hull, see if we can't take out some of these point defense systems! The fewer there are, the more ships can get in close, and the easier it will be to take down that cannon!"
"Triter, heads up! I'm getting another energy buildup inside the dreadnaught!"
Triter gritted his teeth. The giant warship had been heavily damaged by this point, so it wasn't likely they could manage another blast at full power. But the cannon would still be able to do some damage, especially in the of the dense melee that was taking place around it.
"Kark, kark!!" Triter flipped his comm to broad-spectrum, putting his signal through to the entire assembled fleet.
"Attention, attention! This is Outlaw Leader! My co-pilot is picking up an energy reaction in the Sith dreadnaught! All craft are advised to clear the firing vector of its center-line cannon!! Repeat, clear the Sith dreadnaught's line of fire!!"
Triter zoomed low over the dreadnaught, flicking a switch to ready his ship's proton torpedo launcher. The targeting computer locked on the the bow of the huge vessel; Triter wasn't sure what firing one at the muzzle of the cannon when it fired would do to the beam, but he was hoping he could at least jam open the barrel's protective cover.
Is it wide enough for a starfighter? Only one way to find out!

The commandos that were shot in the legs buckled from the hits, though they activated their jetpacks all the same to get away from the explosion. The blast had the desired results, many of the squadron dead and left in pieces. Talia kept her gaze trained ahead, knowing for sure she would get out of the blast radius. However, to her surprise, one of the attackers seemingly launched himself from nowhere, tackling her from the air mid-flight.

Talia collided with the ground with a thud, the man landing next to her. Ignoring what he did, she swiftly rolled so he faced towards the hallway they were just in, his back and legs catching some of the blast as she used him as a shield. This cost her, as he was able to effectively jam her flamethrower, potentially taking it out of any future fights for now, “Gods damn it!” She was reeling back for another attack when the man followed up with a headbutt.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t have the desired effect, as though it cracked the front of her helmet, it didn’t daze her in the least, “Headbutting a Mando? Really, sweetheart?”The amusement was dripping from her voice as she grasped the incoming hand towards her throat, her knee slamming up harshly into his crotch to make him see stars and probably vomit from the devastating pain.

Talia wasted no time, bodily shoving him back while he would be recovering from the hit to his no-no region. She somersaulted backwards into the next room, rising up to her feet and slamming on the console to close the doors before her, giving him a playful wink as the doors closed. She would leave Ifram with the rest of her commando unit as she had a very specific job to do, her commandos immediately open firing on Ifram as they remembered him shooting at their legs. This wasn't going to be fun for Ifram.

With that, she kept running down the corridors, heading directly for the missile bay. As she kept running, she skidded to a halt as she came across more Mandos coming out from a side corridor, “Duke Vizsla has sent us!” Talia grinned, “I could kiss that man right now. Cover my ass, I need to make it to the missiles bay in one piece,” She took off the wrist mounted flamethrower and tossed it to one of the commandos while running, “Fix it if you can. If you can’t, give me something I can use. I have a feeling I have a fight ahead of me.”

The munitions bay of the Imperial Dreadnought was huge, filled to the brim with Assault Concussion Missiles of the calibur to snap an unshielded capitol ship in half with a direct hit. With fifteen missile silos on the hull of the ship a good amount of the ordnance needed to be stored to make sure they didn't run out, the storage areas going on for meters with perhaps hundreds of missiles primed and ready to fire once loaded. If exploded prematurely, within the hull of the Imperial flagship, it would destroy the monstrosity in it's entirety with the combined explosive force. That made it the obvious choice for a boarding party trying to destroy the ship and the place for its defenders to protect at all costs. Whether Jet really felt that way, though, was his secret to keep or give.

All the other computers had been locked down, leaving just the one closest to the doors that the intruding Mandalorians would enter from based on their projected track. The surrounding area had been cleared of debris and supplies, leaving only the racks of huge missiles waiting to be loaded and fired. Ramps led down to the loading bays for the maintenance crews while ladders and stairs led up the various racks for the same reason. The area was as open vertically as it was horizontally, making for a possibly unique battlefield for the enemies that were on their way. Jet wore his Wraith Armor, given to him by the late Emperor Malon for services rendered, and had his dual silver lightsabers at his sides with two each of flashbangs and Smackdown grenades. On his left wrist was a canister of Wrist-mounted foam spray While in the same hand was his Aural Blaster. Prepared to fight Jedi, his non-lethal weapons would be a detriment to any opponent if used correctly. His robotic strength and speed, greater than what most organics could produce, would also be a surprise considering he'd made sure to hide his true limits when in battle to use as a form of trump card. Lastly, thanks to Shae and Corvo Vis, he had learned the rare Form X of lightsaber fighting which would hopefully also put most of his foes off their guard.

Even if the enemy weren't making their way towards the missile bays, Jet would have rigged the place to explode himself on orders of the Grand Admiral. While not as much of a patriot as the man, he understood his reasonings and had found his heart to be pure in intent. Out of respect he followed the man's last order, prepare the ship to explode when Kurtis sent the signal. Whether it was to make sure this technology couldn't fall into enemy hands or the intent was to take as many of the Republic down with them, Jet didn't know. In the end, it didn't really matter anyway. As he heard the sound of boots running towards the room he finished programming the console to self-destruct the missiles once his command was sent. Perfect timing for combat, though it was too soon to blow it all up. Kurtis was still fighting with Duke Viszla on the bridge and that fight needed to end before the Dreadnought could be destroyed. He turned, looking down on the newcomers from the raised platform the console sat on to look down at the intruders and made ready to duck in case shots started coming for him before he could finish speaking. "Welcome. History will be made here. Will you succumb to it's fiery wave as so many others have or will you surpass it and see what the future holds? You may do as you will, but I cannot let you destroy this ship yet. Duke Viszla and the Grand Admiral have yet to decide this battle and meet their destinies. Until they finish, I will guard this room with everything I have. Will you yield for now or does your lust for combat consume you?" His natural voice had a metallic tinge to it, yet the modulator made him sound as human as the armor could do. He waited to see what the Mandalorians would say or do, though he prepared to fire his blaster at anyone that tried to fly towards him.

Upon Triter’s new order not to bunch, the Mon Calamari pilot drew his ship some distance away behind Outlaw Leader. Deb on the other hand as completely focused at the top turret, aiming down the sights at an Sith fighter swooping down on them. The ship’s shields decreased as the hosltile laser shots tore into them. Squeezing down the trigger, Deb let loose a salvo that blasted the enemy fighter into new debris.

Just as things began to look up Rens received the live boardcast, he muttered.

“Oh shit the canon is powering again!”

Nevertheless he stayed, escorting Triter to his destination. Most pilots would already bolt by now, but Rens wasn’t one of them and actually smiled once more and thought.

This what I live for.

Imperial Special Forces - Inferno Squadron - Commander Ifram Kaane

Ifram winced as the explosion caught his back - hs armour preventing most of the damage, his own resilience stopping him short of screaming. His headbutt had little effect, but he moved quickly, performing a remarkably unimpressive ‘hop’ out of the way of her crotch shot, and thus avoiding the unspeakable pain it would have caused him. However, as he moved to aim his rifle - the Mandalorian was already gone.

He only managed to see the doors close, and understood that particular fight was over. Ifram however, had bigger problems now. His escape route cut off, he signalled to what remained of his squadron, who had been pinned in cover. There was only one way out of this - through the Commandos who faced him. The Inferno Squadron Commander made little time, as he rolled forwards - his attentions focused on killing off the remaining Commandos and let lose a thermal detonator at his enemies.

He ended his role, driving the barrel of his rifle into the chinplate of a Commando, the Mandos head vanishing in a red mist soon after. Using the dead mans body as a shield, he fired two more shots - one in the chest and the other in the heart at another attacker - his fellow Inferno members emboldened by his attack, firing at their enemies also. Throwing off his corpse shield, he tackled the remaining Commando into the ground as it was hit by the body, jabbing his knife into the Commandos vizor, and then placing it back in ts sheath.

Already, he could hear reinforcements coming from the attacking parties boarding area and he radioed to the Admiral ”You have incoming sir. I cannot get to the bridge, stuck inside enemy held sections of the ship.’’ he paused, signalling for his remaining five men, one of which was using only a pistol due to a shattered arm to secure the remaining entrance into the corridor, and push on to the Mandalorian Landing Zone ”We shall salt the earth Admiral, heading for the Mandalorian Boarding Vessel.’’ he closed his communications unit.

A few short signals later, and the group made their way, cover to cover, to the location of the Boarding ship. Despite the violence of its arrival, it appeared to be in reasonably good shape, and no doubt would be workable for an evacuation of the borders should they need it.

”Fan out. Kill the crew, secure that ship.’’ he signalled to his men via their private comms.

Inferno Squad moved in, dozens of Commandos noticing them as a hail of laser fire and grenades flew from the squad, felling several of the landing ships guards in seconds. To his right, one of his men fell in a hail of return fire, staggering to the ground, his helmet shorn. Ifram picked him up, held him by one arm and pushed him forwards ”Victory! Or Death!’’ he shouted ”For the Empire!’’ he shouted, as Inferno Squad made what could soon be, their last engagement of the war.

OOC - I ordered coffins, I shall see them filled.

Over her com set Jacien received, “General We have located an underground hanger with an Avenger class BattleCruiser, I am pretty sure this is what the imperials keep trying to reach we need additional manpower to secure this location.” Unable to leave the command station at this point due to no other commander having presented themselves Jason
Protectorate wardens 100 through 166 assist warden 75 at the following coordinates secure the facility and ensure that ship does not take off. Take with you any local militia that you have acquired to this point.”
“WASP squadron 2 change assignment, protect the following coordinates from all heavy armor there is a battle cruiser at this location that we cannot allow the imperials to retake. “

Jacien thought to herself if that was a fully staffed BattleCruiser there will be more than ten thousand Imperials on the surface and close by. By her best guess they had encountered no more than 1500.
“Warden 75,” Jacien transmitted, “ when back up arrives and you have secured the facility rig the engines to blow we can’t let that ship off the ground.”
Her second ship the Brick a Vedura class freighter Had just landed setting up directly beside the hospital using its bowl to protect it further from the outside. The engines had just quieted as she looked around more than a thousand locals most wearing pieces and parts of Republic uniforms and armor had joined her ranks all carried a hodgepodge of mixed weapons. In areas where her wardens we’re not directly taken control bickering and minor arguments were starting to break out. At just that moment a Sentorian Bellow sounded across both of the landing zones. It was a voice that brooked no argument and expected immediate compliance. The militia responded as one, each having at one time or another in their lives heard the same call from another. “Bring me that Man,” ordered Jacien, From the immediate nods given the two Wardens who were acting as her personal they didn’t have to guess who.
He looked exactly as she had imagined when he arrived, he was human a little under 2 meters Tall and nearly as wide at the shoulders. Impossibly wearing a still starched Republic uniform bearing the rank of Sergeant Major. He had to be in his early 60’s. With a smile then a nod Jacien said, “Sergeant Major, I have 5000 Wardens Blasters on this freighter each with 20 energy packs. There are 50 light mobile missal launchers with 50 missals. And 50 radio equipped helmets. We may not be able to armor these men against what is coming but we can at least make sure they have weapons that will give them a chance.”
“Yes Jedi, but you should know there are many here who outrank me and may want to do things differently,” Finished The Sergeant Major. “There is no Republic at the moment, so you currently hold the rank of Command Sergeant Major in the Protectorate, a rank you can keep or resign when it fits you. So that means That on this planet as of this moment you are answerable only to me. Releasing his breath he nodded then saluted saying, “Yes Mam” he then turned and exited, as soon as he cleared the imaginary line that was the door he began bellowing orders.

The battle had been chaos. Bloody, destructive chaos. The arrival of the Mandalorians upset the noble Jedi, as he found this incursion in their battle as a slight. How dare they show up here, believing that they had the right to try and "switch sides". They had committed numerous crimes, and many worlds still groaned under the weight of tragedy they had left behind. Had it been up to Fexus, the Sith and Mandalorians would have both immediately become targets. Still, he wasn't the one giving orders, so he followed his and supported the new "allies" on the field.

Their reinforcements arrived, and so did the Sith's, with the Republic receiving support from some very unlikely sources too. It seemed the battle was more pitched than they had believed it was going to be, but...they were dealing with Sith after all. Fexus expected nothing less of the vicious warriors. The blast from that dreadnought which had leveled several Mandalorian ships, had been a dangerous ace in the hole, but it would not be enough to stop the tide. Secretly, Fexus had enjoyed the end of so many Mandalorians. Less for him to clean up after Corellia.

" This is Knight Gaidan to all remaining Jedi. Keep up the fight, we've got the Sith hurting!" he cried over his comm, dodging and weaving through blaster cannon-fire. Every Jedi there had history. Had fought together on numerous fronts, even where some had died. Today was their day! The beginning of a new age! Fexus just needed to be pointed in the right direction to make that happen.

" This is Knight Gaidan broadcasting to all channels. Someone point me where they need a Jedi!"

As Talia burst into the room, she was dismayed to find that someone was ready to fight her in it. Her flamethrower was haphazardly repaired, though it wouldn’t work as well as it normally did. She decided she wouldn’t use it for this fight, the darksaber her weapon of choice today. Though she wasn’t a Force user, she had been trained by Jedi in the past in saber combat, her years of swordsmanship prior to that also helping her become adept at it.

As the man began to speak, Talia rolled her eyes. Even so, she could tell he wasn’t foolish enough to be caught off guard. As he kept speaking, she began to walk along the side and towards the steps leading up to the elevated platform, “You want to stay alive just long enough for a glorious battle to end? Seems like a waste of time. If I were you, I’d leave now, getting into my pajamas, watch a nice Holomovie and rest easy knowing I don’t have to worry about this kriffing war anymore. You’ve already lost. Your Emperor is dead.”

If he began to attack, she was on alert to defend. She herself didn’t attack just yet, keeping her guard up as she approached the same level as him. Talia looked at him through the slightly cracked screen of her helmet, her fingers toying with the hilt of her saber, “What the hell are you supposed to be anyway?”

Without waiting for an answer, she swiftly drew her pistol in her left hand and fired a shot directly towards his right flank. At the same time, she drew out the saber and darted towards him, poised in case he found a way to deflect the bolt towards her. She didn’t launch a saber attack just yet, prepared to adjust to whatever he threw at her in return.

"I hold no love lost for the man. The only people who held any meaning to me perished killing him." The last transmission that Jet had received had confirmed Corvo's presence on the fallen Star Destroyer, making him believe as the rest of the galaxy did. The robotic man had just returned from his home planet to upload his memories to the computer there in preparation for his possible death. At the very least the story of Corvo and Shae would live on as a tale of humanity for his race, possibly shaping their growth through the next generations. For now, Jet had more pressing matters to deal with. He twisted his body and jumped back to face Talia with his left side facing her, his right foot behind him as the bolt grazed his side but not causing much damage with the move. Giving a small grunt at the burning pain he raised his blaster, firing off two sonic blasts at her center of mass before dropping the weapon in case she tried to make a strike at his outstretched arm, pulling it back to safety as he took another step back and bent his knees into a slight crouch.

"As for what I am, that is a more complicated question than you know. Allow me to provide a hint!" Right hand grabbing his lightsaber, he brought the silver blade into existence as he leapt forward with superhuman speed thanks to his mechanical construction. He swung at her own blade, noting the fact that it was the famous Darksaber, with the intent of locking the blades together to prematurely deflect it. He made a show of this strike, making it seem like this was his main attack when the true hit was coming from the clenched fist of his left hand. With all the strength he could muster in his robotic body he made to punch at Talia's chest, of which if it connected he would turn the blow into an uppercut aimed for her chin. The regular force of this strike had been enough to knock a hole in a stone wall and crack the surrounding area when he'd met with Corvo what felt like so long ago. Even against armor, hopefully the strike would cause some sort of distracting damage. The only difference between now and then was that Jet held nothing back, giving everything he had to this fight. He was no longer concerned if he lived or died, having already mentally prepared for it, so he threw everything he had to his strikes.

Caedryn was an aggressive fighter, as the Grand Admiral would soon find out. As the Shistevanians lunge came in, Caedryn pressed in, left foot stepping forward as he twisted his body to void the strike and batting the blade away with his own, the superior strength and leverage of his two handed grip catching the lightsaber with the bottom third of his blade would send it to the side, opening his guard. Without pause his bladed slashed down, right leg stepping forward as he closed further. His blade would slash down across the Admiral's left forearm, as it arced down to intercept the now rising blade, even as his right hand moved off the hilt of his sword. Catching the Amethyst blade with his sword blade to let it slide up against the phrik crossguard, he would push it to the side while angling his blade inwards to point at the Shistevanians foot. His right hand would simultaneously grasp the left hand hold the silver-bladed saber, removing it from play for the moment.

Stepping in as soon as his opponents blades were isolated and he was inside the Admirals guard, he delivered a swift headbutt to the wolfen aliens snout with his helmeted head. As soon as contact was made he would thrust downwards at the fleet admirals shin and foot, hoping to surprise him with the sudden pain long enough to push against the saber bound against his vibrosword to deliver a crippling blow to his mobility. He may be honorable enough to accept and fight an honor duel, but Caedryn would not consider himself an honorable fighter. Once the blades were drawn and life or death was on the table, any sense of mercy or fairness was removed from the equation. A ruthless warrior who had survived many battles, he knew the key to survival was a quick and decisive victory, not gauging ones opponent to see how they might fight.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Kurtis got the information he was looking for, though it came at a price. Pain erupted from his left arm as the blade cut through his uniform and into the skin beneath. As the blow was meant to be a feint anyway it was easy to redirect his momentum, making the blow more painful than debilitating. As the Duke moved to press in the Admiral stepped to the side, jumping back as the headbutt barely missed his muzzle. He managed to put a small amount of distance between them, yet most importantly he had a feel for how Caedryn was going to fight. Honorable to accept the duel, yet pragmatic for the actual combat. It was something he could respect, just as he also preferred to fight. He took a few steps back, circling the other man to observe while he began to speak again.

As expected. Your Dominion has proven to be quite powerful foes. The Empire wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as this if you and yours had taken the field earlier. I heard about what happened on Korriban. Seeing what happened here between you and your other Commander, I can piece together why it took so long for you to sortie. Perhaps with the glory from this battle under your belt you can assume command of your people. I've drawn all the stigma and evil of the Empire into this fleet, this very ship. Once it is destroyed, the rest of us soldiers sacrificed, the galaxy should have it's clean slate to rebuild from. If you become leader, what path will you lead your people down in this new Dawn?" Kurtis felt the ship shake a bit, the fact that it could now be felt here meaning they had taken substantial damage. It was all almost over, their sacrifice nearly complete.

As he talked, the Admiral would keep himself at a distance from Caedryn even if the other advanced. Circling around slowly, at the end of his words he would suddenly leap forward to attack. He stabbed with both lightsabers towards the Duke's chest, now giving the strike everything he had. His attention focused on the sword of his opponent, knowing the strength he could put behind the weapon even as he was made aware of the pain on his arm. If Caedryn moved to deflect his thrusts with his sword, Kurtis would use his left lightsaber to deflect the blade using his finesse and full strength. He would then twist his right wrist a bit, turning the stab into an upward diagonal slash across the Mandalorian's chest and shoulder. The pure force and momentum of the movement would make him crash into the other man as a full-bodied tackle. His mixture of finesse and force was something that could only be born from a person who knew the limits of his own abilities, both mental and physical. It would take everything he had in both areas to keep track of Caedryn's movements while still preparing himself as best he could for anything the man could throw at him, especially now that he knew how he would fight.

As the bolts initially came her way, she deflected one with the darksaber, barely pivoting in time for the second to graze along the side of her bicep. The armor there was damaged, though not completely out of the fight. Talia noticed him bring up his saber in his right hand, sweeping in with superhuman speed to block her own saber. As their blades met, she felt the power behind his blow, though she had a few tricks of her own up her sleeve.

She saw his blade coming in, raising hers to meet it. As soon as he pushed into her blade with his own, Talia abruptly switched off the Darksaber. The sudden loss of resistance would propel Jet forward as he had been rushing towards her with full momentum. She timed the switch off with a pivot towards his left side, which would put her out of range of the saber, the blade sliding above her shoulder.

Unfortunately this put her right into range of the punch from his left hand. The fist collided harshly against her chest, the blow enough to send her skidding back. Before the blow could travel upwards though, she promptly ignited her saber again and spun in it in a half circle vertically going towards her own left. As his hand was outstretched and committed to the punch moving into an uppercut, the saber would easily cut through the arm and sever it at such close proximity. Being committed to the momentum meant he couldn’t reel back in time.

Her eyes welling up with tears from the harsh blow and her armor cracked, her left hand fired off a point blank shot at his left thigh. With his saber raised above and his left hand going in for an uppercut, his lower body was entirely unprotected at that moment. Because she swung her blade from her own right to left to cut through his arm, it meant it would be there to meet his saber if he attempted to strike her with it again.

Pain, pure and blinding, shot down his left arm as the Darksaber took the limb from his body. The momentum of the strike made the arm shoot up into the air, hitting the walkway above them and making it fall back behind Jet. The blaster hit was painful as well, though his mind was focused more on the phantom burning of his lost limb. He jumped back using that superhuman speed and strength again, landing just behind his lost arm at the edge of the catwalk. Ah, such pain! Exquisite! It makes one truly feel alive, even if I don't have blood or bone to show for it! This day is yours, Talia Al'Saif, but allow me to give you a farewell gift!" Slinging his lightsaber at his side, the Honor Guard hit the timers on his two Knockdown Grenades before taking them both in one hand. Set to go off in two seconds, the Elensalite tossed the two orbs to skid across the floor and land behind Talia. If she stayed where she was then the blasts should either make her stance unsteady or knock her off her feet if they were close enough. That was only a distraction, though, one that he would counter if she moved to close the distance between them to get away from the grenades.

Picking up his severed arm, still clenched in a fist from the punch, Jet spun a full circle with all of his might and speed and threw the limb at Talia's stomach. He literally gave every ounce of power to the throw, making it seem as if the appendage had been launched from a cannon thanks to the momentum from the spin. Even if she cut it in half with her Darksaber the momentum of the pieces would still hit and cause some damage. If she was caught in the effects of the grenades, though, she wouldn't be able to dodge very well nor would she be able to do so if she leapt away from the grenades. Even with it's extra power the rocket punch wouldn't be lethal to the Mandalorian in her armor, though it would likely cause her even more pain if not potentially break a bone. Even this, though, was still just a distraction. After throwing the arm, Jet would set the timer to his flashbang grenade to two seconds and toss it towards Talia though with only just enough force to land in her proximity. After this he would jump back and off the scaffolding, falling away from the flashbang's effective radius quickly even as he landed hard on the ground below. Pain all over his metallic body, he would then make a run for the closest escape pod. The Mandalorians would not know the layout of the ship so they would think he were just running further into the missile bay, though if they followed him they would see him disappear into the pod as it ejected from the ship. The loss of his limb mattered little to him, the brief feeling of being alive that Talia had given him was gift enough for their encounter.

The covering of the Legion Buster opened as the ship around it was rocked by fire from all sides. Even at half power the shaft glowed an eerie green, all before the smaller beam lanced forth towards Duke Skirata's flagship. As it was only fired at half power the remaining weaponry didn't lose power, though a problem from a different source reared its head. Triter's proton torpedos managed to hit the outer casing of the protective door to the cannon, lodging twisted metal in the way of it being able to return to it's original position. This left the cannon shaft open for anything to enter it, though it was still nearly seven thousand meters to travel to the back of the ship and to the firing coils of the Legion Buster. If anyone could pull of this kind of run through the heart of this great beast of a ship, though, then it would most likely be Outlaw and Red Squadrons.

Triter cursed as the discharge of the Legion Buster flared before his eyes, momentarily blinding him. Even at half power, it was an awesome sight to behold from his angle, and from so close.
"KARK!!"
The Amaran's finger jammed down on the firing stud, loosing a pair of proton torpedoes in rapid succession. They streaked out, skimming over the length of the dreadnaught before nosing down into its bow, a massive explosion shaking the giant warship. The huge, heavy gearing that moved the Legion Buster's barrel cover were jammed with debris, locking it in a half-open position.
"It hit! IT HIT! The cover is jammed, we have a clear shot at the inside!!"
Tisa's announcement brought cheers from the other members of Outlaw Squadron, and from other snubfighter pilots of the various assembled factions. Triter, for his part, merely let out a sigh of relief.
"Alright, alright! Nobody celebrate yet! We don't really know what this thing is like on the inside, but I'm guessing there's something important in there we can shoot to take that gun out of the fight!"
He gritted his teeth, looping his small ship around after clearing the end of the dreadnaught, lining up on what seemed a very small entrance.
"Attention all ships! If you think you can do it, I need a flight to follow me inside the dreadnaught! It's going to be tight in there, and I don't know what target we're looking for, but I'm guessing we'll know it when we see it!"
His hands tightened on the controls, and he felt a surge of the power he had always possessed, but never truly understood. If the Force could help him now, he would take all he could get.
"This is Outlaw Leader, I'm going in!"

By all accounts Rens Ahim was not a philosophical person, but being nearly blinded by the sight of a giant laser shot made briefly him ask slient questions about the meaning life.

“Ugh, my eyes! By the force it’s like waking in on a Hutt in the shower. Wait a minute Hutts are always naked...ugh!”

“Shut up and focus Rens!”

Muttering an apology to his copilot back at the top turret, Rens maneuvered his way back toward Outlaw Leader. It was just in time to watch Legion Buster’s cover burst into flames. The Mon Cala spacer hollered at the sight, cheering in unison with the rest of the mismatched band of pilots, until Triter, their leader calmed them all down and gave new instructions.

Smiling at the challenge presented, Rens ram down the controls, diving after Triter through the newly made hole and called in.

“Still have your back Outlaw Leader. Oh just for the record, if we survive this, the first rounds on me.”

Adrenaline roared in his head as first blood was drawn. Caedryn could taste victory within his grasp even as the Grand Admirals clenched fist slipped from his own hand. Allowing the man to retreat for the time being, although it went against his every instinct. The Grand Admiral knew how to handle a blade, but he didn't know how to fight, not up close and personal. Had Caedryn been in a less confident mood he would have pressed his attack, continuing the assault until his enemy was dead at his feet. Breathing deeply, regaining his breath, he listened to what the man had to say, watching the man circle, holding his blade at the ready as he watched for even the slightest change of body language.

The mans words rung true, and would have Caedryn questioning himself if he hadn't already set out with a course of action in mind. It was a funny thing, going from drifting aimlessly with a bottle of liquor in hand to rushing headlong into the future, with goals in mind and a blade in hand. It seemed that it was once more time to use that blade as the Grand Admiral leapt forward. Unlike the Admiral who's eyes were focused on the Mandalorian's blade, Caedryn had been sizing up his opponent, watching his body language. What his opponent would miss, Caedryn caught, the slight shift in posturing as he prepared to leap.

With both blades coming in a lunge as Kurtis commited fully to the attack, Caedryn's right foot would come forward, pivoting on his left so that his body shifted out of the line of attack, his chest facing parallel to where Kurtis's blade would stab. As his did this, his right hand would thumb the vibroblade's activation switch, the sinister hum vanishing as the deadly vibrations ceased, leaving only a sharpened length of metal. His right hand would grasp the now inert vibrosword a foot down from the tip as he caught the thrusting left hand blade in the center of his own. With Kurtis's left arm weakened from his wounds and blood loss, combined with Caedryn's superior two handed grip, he would be unable to stop what happened next. In a single, smooth and continuous motion, Caedryn applied pressure, pushing the left hand saber to clash into the right hand saber. Torquing the blade, left hand on the hilt rising as his right hand grasping the sword blade lowered, he would catch the bound pair of blades between the blade and cross guard of his sword, even as it lined up with Kurtis's right shoulder. His forward momentum would carry him inescapably into the blade, which would sink into the Shistevanians shoulder without resistance until it struck bone, likely cracking the bone under the point.

Continuing the motion, his right hand would leave the left continued to torque the blade up. Once again grasping the Admiral's left hand, this time more focused on gaining control of the saber in it, his thumb pressed down on its activation stud, the lightsaber deactivating. Caedryn would take advantage of the likely immense amount of pain the Admiral was in to twist his wrist, directing the emitter of the now deactivated lightsaber at the active saber in the right hand and once again pressing the activation stub. With a snap-hiss the blade would spring forth, severing the emitter of the second blade which would sputter in the throes of its mechanical death. As he did this, his right foot would come up, snapping his knee forward to drive it into the side of the Grand Admiral's left knee, driving him to the ground.

Looking down at the once proud Grand Admiral, bleeding from two wounds, his lightsaber hand firmly grasped in Caedryn's gauntlet, Caedryn felt a hint of sadness. "You are an honorable man, Grand Admiral Kurtis DuVall. It is a shame we didn't meet under different circumstances." Pulling the blade from the mans shoulder as he finished, leveling it at the Grand Admiral's throat. Pulling back the blade, he last words ones of assurance. "I'll make this qui-" The ship rocked violently as one of the engines exploded, sending everyone in the bridge tumbling to the ground, separating the two duelists. The Dreadnought began to tilt as the moons gravity began to assert its strength on the massive ship.

Pain erupted from Kurtis' shoulder, blinding yet invigorating at the same time. All of his combat with others up until this point had been done between the distance of his ship to theirs, his weapons being turbolasers and missiles. There was something to be said of close combat, however, a visceral feeling that had made his blood boil and drawn out his more feral nature to compliment his intellect. None of that mattered much against a foe like Caedryn, though, whose lifetime of combat experience had trumped the careful analyzation and tactical thinking of the Admiral. If it had been anyone else the contest would have been more even if not tilted in Kurtis' favor. The situation as it were, there had been no hope of victory right from the beginning. Then again, that was the whole point of this battle in the first place. As he listened to Caedryn speak the wolfman had a triumphant grin on his face, able to see something that the other man couldn't. The tactical display showed a barrage of missiles heading for his engine block, the damage easy to calculate even with just a glance. It seems fate isn't prepared for you to render judgement yet, good Duke.

As the ground tilted Kurtis found himself on his back, out of range of the Duke's deadly blade. He pushed off against the ground towards the crew pits, falling in and being pulled to safety by his loyal command crew. As they began to lead him to the escape pods located by the pits the Admiral gave a salute to Caedryn, just before a fiery pile of debris fell on the bridge to separate the two. Unfortunately you won't have my head to claim as a trophy. You can use the destruction of this ship and fleet, though, as your stepping stone to power. All I ask is for you to not fall prey to the complacency that killed the old Republic and the Sith Empire. Learn from the mistakes of the past, lest you repeat them. It's an easier fate to fall into than anyone realizes." With that, he was gone. His crew ejected from the escape pods, fleeing the falling ship.

As the pods left the ship a special beacon was sent out, sending a message to a ship waiting just outside the system. The Leviathan-class Corvette Adjudicator jumped in near on top of the escape pods, using it's tractor beam to collect the pods into it's empty hangar. The act seemed carefully planned and practiced, the operation going smoothly and allowing the ship to jump back out before most of the other fleets even noticed it had appeared. It's destination was unknown, as was the affiliation of it's crew. The Empire was dead, so what place in the galaxy did it's last and best soldiers have? They would have to find that out for themselves, though for now their leader had some wounds that would need healing. Somehow he had survived the Battle of Corellia, though, and he had made sure to learn from the fight and was already growing from it all. Perhaps he and Caedryn would meet again one day, though he also hoped that the fighting was finally over for now. The Big Bad Empire was gone. If the galaxy had learned anything from the intense war, hopefully they had learned when to set down their arms and rebuild instead of trying to find the next foe to kill. If that was a lesson missed, though, then the new Republic deserved everything coming to them.

As the grenades came, Talia quickly activated her jetpack to send her flying back rapidly. She was more than used to grenades in a fight, and she knew when to get the hell out of dodge. However, she wasn’t prepared for him to hurl his own severed arm at her. As she jumped out of the grenade’s proximity, she barely managed to raise her arms up to keep the arm from hitting her. The impact shattered parts of her gauntlet and sent her back, but thankfully her armor took the brunt of the damage to keep from breaking bones. Unfortunately, this meant her flamethrower was completely out of commission.

She didn’t chase after Jet as he made his escape, knowing she had come for another task entirely. Talia heard the chatter on her comms, picking up a Jedi that blared on all channels. She chewed on her lip on whether she could rely on him in a crisis given their stance on Mandos. Deciding that they were united against the Sith, she quickly spoke into her channel, “Jedi! This is Talia Al’Saif from aboard the Fang. I’m going to lock some missiles onto you and need you to guide them towards the joints where this dreadnought has expanded. There’s no shielding there. If you pull this off, this whole boat goes down. With your reflexes, you’ll be able to pull up last minute but let it tail you for a moment so I can get out. Can you do this?” @Feylix

Talia hoped against hope she could count on the Jedi to complete the task, as it would deal the final blow to the Sith ship. With that, she jumped onto the terminal, quickly locking onto the ship that was clearly Jedi. She didn’t hesitate as she fired the missiles, counting on him to circle around long enough for her to escape the ship. Talia placed a lot of faith on this lone Jedi, and his actions would be cemented in this historical event if he pulled it off.

“Caed?! Do you read me?” She didn’t hear anything, quickly rushing back the way she came and towards the bridge. She noticed the visor of her helmet was completely shattered and missing, her face revealed, the rest of her armor sporting a multitude of cracks. Her arm was bruised, the gauntlet armor almost completely gone, “Everyone find a way off!” She relayed to her commando team as she rushed to find Caed.

It took her a few moments to reach the bridge, and she all but skidded into the area. She spotted Caed right away, noting the hole in the bridge in front of him with Kurtis escaping on the other side. The heat was intense, debris falling all around them and the entire ship creaking and slanting downwards.

“Caed,” She felt a massive wave of relief as she spotted him, realizing that he was embodied everything she had loved about her people. The fighting spirit, the determination, taking charge during a chaotic situation, making a mark on the galaxy. He had been someone she would follow into any battle despite the odds. She stepped before him as the ship lurched again, sending her skidding towards him. She caught herself as she planted her hands on his chest, abruptly withdrawing the hand to lift the helmet off his head, glaring at him, “You stupid shit! I can't believe I let you talk me into this horrible operation! You crazy…kriffing…” Not caring about the explosions going on around them, she grasped fistfuls of his hair and yanked him towards herself, meeting his lips with her own. As the realization hit that this had been the final blow to the Sith, tears began to brim her eyes and streak down her cheeks. She tasted the salt on and grime on his skin and it couldn’t be more perfect. She pulled back after a moment, “Chasing the wrong kriffing Vizsla all these years…”

Talia didn’t give him even a moment to react to any of it and she rudely popped his helmet back on his head, ignoring any surprised or baffled looks on his face, “Let’s go!” With that, she grasped his hand and rushed towards the nearest escape pod. As soon as one was accessible and they were safely inside, she activated it to detach away from the ship. She knew it would be moments before the explosion from the missiles spread out throughout the ship and blew it up entirely.

Protectorate drop ships were touching down and taking off immediately the armed ones sticking around to take out a few tanks or Imperial walkers. The troops were immediately dispatched to either increasing their defensive position here at the landing zones or protecting the hangared Imperial battle cruiser. She had amassed nearly 2000 protectorate soldiers on the ground when backed by the growing militia she had effectively secured the spaceport and the hanger by the time the imperials made their first concentrated effort. Leaving the defense of the Space Port to the sergeant major whose name she learned was James Beaumont. She and the Protectorate Wardens under the cover of the WASP’s quickly flanked the incoming troopers. The Imperial’s were caught between the combined fire power of the defense force as well as the close air support when the Wardens dropped two 30 story buildings into them destroying any semblance of cohesion. Imperial troopers began dying wholesale as the wardens then poured into them. Whole units of the militia defense quit their posts and charged into the now beleaguered Imperials. When the smoke debris and dust finally cleared and the last imperial officer in the field was killed by his own men troopers Began surrendering ,removing helmets, armor, dropping their weapons wherever. The militia quickly lost its cohesion with some even starting to kill surrendering troops as well as the injured. When these militia most of whom were former republic soldiers who admittedly had been brutalized were observed committing these murders Jacien’s Wardens did what wardens do and put them down. Only 700 Imperial troopers managed to surrender to Protectorate soldiers. Nearly all the militia eventually abandoned the spaceport in the next hour their thirst for revenge and the ready supply of weapons emboldening them. Jacien let them go sighing and sadly shaking her head. She then Recalled her Wardens. She had a job to do and hunting down stray Imperials and their collaborators was not it. Over the next two hours another 300 Imperials made it to Protectorate lines where they were taken into custody. These men were soldiers and so long as they remained peaceful they would be given to rights any surrendering soldier was entitled to.
“General Icerider to Allied Command we have the Spaceport and local militia has taken the rest of the city.” Sent Jacien. On the open command frequency.

Fexus hadn't expected a Mandalorian to answer his call, and was sorely tempted to simply ignore her. How she got aboard the Fang was irrelevant, though impressive, but it did serve to reinforce his belief that they were only here for one purpose: glory. How they got it never mattered to them, like this Talia. Still...he had to wonder if he was jealous. Jealous that they were indeed gaining their glory, and doing the job Fexus had trained his whole life for.

He hadn't missed the compliment to his reflexes, but he also noticed that she was asking him to help her live. There's the difference between us and Sith Mandalorian, he thought, I'm willing to help my enemies. Asking him for help must have been as hard for her as it was for him to accept the role. Her plan was a good one, and with Outlaw and Red Fighters in the fray, he would have a real shot. He had no choice.

" I'll get it done.", he said coldly. For a warrior who was putting her life on the line, she deserved more. He knew it. True, the Jedi and Mandalorians had been enemies, but here and now....they stood together. Then, surprisingly, Fexus' heart fell. How had he become so cold as to turn his wrath on someone fighting the same battle as him? How he had fallen so far? Shaken by the quick personal revelation, Fexus shook his head, clearing his mind quickly using the Wind technique his Master had taught him.

" May the Force be with You, Talia.". Adding that helped him focus, reminding himself of what he was. A Jedi.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Fexus guided his Antarian Starfighter towards the Legion Buster, it's massive maw opening to belch out another super-laser, though this was one was not as powerful. In the Force, he could sense the huge loss of life, all suddenly silenced. Another blow like that, and the damage would be too great. The Sith, so destructive in nature, had developed such weapons as to make the Jedi weep. So many had died. Had suffered for no other reason then their domination...no more.

He could hear over the comm as Outlaw Leader and his squadron (along with others) moved to fly inside the ship. Their attack on the heart, alongside Talia's missiles to the exposed joints would ensure the end of this weapon. However, ff he and his men were inside when the mouth exploded, there was no telling if they could make it out. Before he could successfully pull off the maneuver Talia had devised, they would need to clear out.

" This is Knight Gaidan hailing Outlaw Leader. I am about to attempt a bombing run on the exposed mouth of the dreadnought. I repeat, I am about to attempt a bombing run on the mouth of the dreadnought. I need you and your Squadron to clear out of the ship as fast as you can once you make your run. I will only have so much time before my payload is delivered.".

As he spoke, he could sense a trio of Sith fighters, obviously ready to protect the exposed ship. Fexus brought his ship up and then over the attackers, nimbly making his way out of that fight. They quickly recovered, coming up and around to pursue their prey. They were strong in the Force, and could sense Fexus was on a mission. " Knight Gaidan to Red Leader, if you and your men can shake these Sith off of me, I'd be in your debt.". Calmly, Fexus held his composure, dodging glancing shots from the pursuing Sith.

As he performed evasive maneuvers, a missile lock found it's way onto his ship. None of the Sith pursuing him were skilled enough to maintain a lock at their distance, so he knew this must have been Talia. Good. The Sith will think they are meant for me. Fexus dove low, his rush towards the front of the ship suddenly changed to underneath. The Sith, who picked up the pursuing missile, hesitated on what to do. Fexus, though not as skilled as his Master in telepathy, could sense the indecision. Few in this battle were concerned with actually protecting their minds, since it was so one-sided. The Sith, who were already few in number, were forced between leaving the Jedi to his "fate", or see it through themselves.

Had it been another battle, another day, they might have pursed him further. Might have accidentally called his bluff, and forced Fexus' hand, putting him between a rock and a hard place. The Force, and the Sith's over-confidence, saved Fexus from a grueling chase. Not only that, but some other starfighters began to close in on the Sith, though they weren't Jedi. Must be some of my other allies. At least someone came to my rescue. " Whoever that is, you have a Jedi Knight's gratitude.".

Fexus resumed his part of Talia's plan, allowing the missile to chase him in circles around the large ship. The battle was so chaotic that a lone starfighter, barely ahead of a pursuing missile, was no threat to anyone. Outlaw Squadron's flight into the heart of the ship was going well, so his time was coming. Using the Force, summoning every bit of will and discipline, Fexus reached out in an attempt to find Talia. He hadn't known who she was, and with no direct contact it was almost impossible for him to find her, but again the Force was on his side. The warrior stood out from the energies beside her, alive and tingling with liveliness. That same glory was what made her so alive. Her plan was going to work, her confidence inspiring even him. No doubt she felt his touch but it hadn't been invasive. It was quick, and he came back to his full senses immediately after he had confirmed she was alive.

" Knight Gaidan to Outlaw Leader, I'm making my run. May the Force be with You."

Fexus banked hard to his right, heading again for the exposed mouth of the ship. This time, the missile swerved up and around, almost smashing into Fexus' rear hull. Blast! He put all power to his engines, racing ahead of the missile. At such speed, the ship was harder to maneuver, but his discipline was fine enough that he was able to sharply bank downwards as he came over the opening. The missile, uncannily able to maneuver as well, followed him. As he neared an exposed joint, he closed his eyes and let the Force wash him. " Time to power you down for good."

Just as he was some yards away from the joint, the nose of his ship came up, almost too late. The missile, without the Force, was unable to change it's trajectory in time before it collided with the ship. The explosion didn't happen at once, causing Fexus some alarm as he looked to his radar, but a brilliant inferno burst from the large ship's top arm. The explosion raced along both joints, igniting the other two arms as well. Fexus saw none of this as he raced away, his little fighter barely able to escape the pull of the explosion, but he could feel it. Could see on his radar as tiny blips began to disappear.

He had done it.

" Knight Gaidan to all channels...bombing run complete.
