Braden sat in his small private room in the Sith temple, it was almost completely bare only a few items littering the small space. A far cry from what Braden was brought up with, he had spent his entire life up until a month ago surrounded by all the luxury a planetary monarch could afford. The desk in font of him had a few scrolls covering all the basic aspects of the Sith, from they extensive history to the doctrines and beliefs which had guided them to a galaxy spanning empire. Braden had already red through all of these and was now looking to try and expand his knowledge in the force. The scroll open in front of him detailed one of the more basic force powers he had seen being used around the temple Telekinesis. Three sets of metal balls sat next to the scroll, the first was about two millimetres across, the second a centimetre and the last about three centimetres. Reading back through the scroll one last time before pushing it away Braden sat back and closed his eyes. He had yet to find a formal master and was currently getting by with scrolls and holocrons, trying to expand his knowledge and power to finally be noticed by one of the Sith Crusaders or Masters.

Emptying his mind he concentrated on the force surrounding him, he touched every corner of the room before returning to the table and the smallest of the metal balls. Slowly he began to manipulate the force around the object as the scroll had told him. He had to at first utilise his base power in the force, once he mastered the technique he could begin to use his emotions to expand his power. The small metal ball began to vibrate on the table, rocking backwards and forwards a number of times finally lifting up from the surface levitating. Opening his eyes Braden saw the little ball in front of him. A small smirk appeared across his face.

The small ball continued to levitate at Braden's eye level. Following the scroll he began moving the small ball in different directions, first up and down, then left to right and then around in a circle. He done each a number of times before moving on. It was a strange sensation as he moved the ball around, it was like he was stretching a long forgotten muscle. He continued moving the single ball backwards and forwards for a further ten minutes. It began to slowly feel natural moving the ball around in the air, this was when the scroll told him to move onto the next step. He closed his eyes again concentrating on the further two tiny balls. All three levitated up before him and as before he began to move the balls around, left to right, up and down, in circles and figures of eight. Flexing this long forgotten muscle.

Over and over Braden, moved the balls back and forth, round and around. He began to make more complex patterns, figures of eight revolving around each other. He would speed up the balls and then slow them down. Braden expanded the range that he would send the balls, they were now skimming the edges of his room. He continued moving the balls through the air, flexing this unseen muscle over and over for a further hour before he finally moved them back to the desk. His brow was damp with sweat and when he finally released his grasp upon the force a wave of exhaustion crashed over him forcing him to slump to one side. It took more effort than he expected to pull himself across from the desk to the small bed in the opposite corner of the room. He took a large gulp of water from the decanter beside his bed, before falling into the bed. He let out a long gasp before drifting off to sleep.
