Biography​

Markus Brenner was born the middle child to a family of starship mechanics who lived and worked in the port city of Mos Espa on Tatooine. Growing up Markus held a reputation for being a bully and was always getting into fights with other children, he always found it difficult to make friends and the few people that he did manage to get along with eventually grew distant from him. When Markus turned 19 he left his family home in order to start a number of failed business ventures, he would later end up coming back home and taking a job at his father's machine shop doing manual labor.


Markus’s true calling came when a smuggler attempted to get out of paying after his father repaired his freighter. After a heated argument with the man came to blows Markus ended up knifing the man in the gut, killing him. It was then he realized as he stood in the cargo hold of the dead man’s ship, staring at crates of goods he had been transporting that he realized it was a lot easier to take your wealth rather than make it. A few days later Markus had packed his things and signed up with one of the local groups of marauders and left the planet under their employ. It didn’t take long for the group to fall apart due to loss of numbers after a particularly nasty raid and infighting over the division of loot.


Markus would spend the next few years traveling around the outer rim doing odd jobs and working as a gun for a number of different groups. Currently he is still operating in the outer rim offering his services as a mercenary.

Personality​

Brenner is very outspoken, ruthless, but above all loyal. Brenner lives for more, be it more power, more fame, or simply more money; he lives for the paycheck and usually ends up blowing whatever he earns on new weapons or luxury items at the end of the job. As far as he's concerned, anything is worth doing as long as he gets paid handsomely for it.

Hey there! So I'm reading over the character and, to quote Jabba, he is my kind of scum! My only suggestion before approving the profile would be for you to take a look at the Five Syndicates faction. The 5S will give your ne'er dowell access to interesting story opportunities, missions, plots, and rewards than he would have access to as an independent. If you check out the write up here theres a lot of opportunity for a money-minded criminal that I think youd definitely be interested in.

I wanted to take part in a few threads in order to RP getting acquainted with the 5S before I join them. Figured it would be more fun to do it that way than to just write him in as some goon.
