[[test run of BGC hardsuit and weapons all are welcome if you want to give it a go]]

Today was the day, Knight was excited as she stood there and took off her armor. The suit had very specific requirements and Knight slid into the durasteel undersuit feeling the cold metal against her skin. It was covered on the inside with endings to enhance reflexes and perception while she piloted. Knight moved around a little mainly at the joints for the knees and elbows and waist. then she slid her leather hood off and began to clip on the plates. It was like a gloves and she felt tingles as the boots closed around her boot and locked into place. Then came the thighs and hips. She slid the arm pieces on and felt the chest piece clip into place with a hiss as it sealed bringing up a foldout helmet for her face and head that formed the helmet. Knight stood there for a few moments while the HUD came online and she felt the few imperial knights who had been with her loading on the weapons. as she saw them register on the systems and Knight looked at her hands when the emitters were added. She grinned inside the suit and saw an option for accessories. As she selected it a gasp was heard when a cape ejected and a hood popped out of the helmet. Knight was grinning as she rolled her shoulders and retracted the cape and hood. She would have to thank those guys when she got the chance. The painting would be done later to match proper armor but she held out her hand activating a large beam of silver light from each gauntlet and a smile came on her face. Sure the only thing missing was cortosis gauntlets but hey she was liking the looks.

Knight moved slowly at first to get a feel for it the suit was balanced and her HUD sensitive as she activated her targeting systems for the shoulder weapons. Knight started at a run and found herself going far faster then she could with the force. The booster systems were there but she wanted to have a feel for the suit first. "Got to walk and run before you can fly." Knight took it to heart and began to run as she signaled with her systems to Sai and the Basilisk was next to her. It was unique... She had thought about it and hadn't even noticed she selected it in the systems on the HUD. She was going to have to be careful about using that as she and the Basilisk were running. The servos for the legs made it seem effortless and then Knight grinned as she slid her heeled boot into the sand and crouched jumping up activating the jump jets and pack to fly. Knight was airborne and souring as she bounded landing across the test area with a cushioned brace of her legs and the suit absorbing the impact. Knight looked out at targets and selected missiles running and set her sights firing a small burst of the mini-missiles. The blast sent sand up into the air and Knight slashed with her saber a target ending in a spin.and stopped looking around before siring into another set of targets a plasma shot making the metal glow. Knight was happy and looked around as walked to stand next to the others and some other equipment. "So how did it look?"

Sindri was.. not sure why he was here. From what he had gathered, this Knight.. whose name was Knight, so just knight? Had purchased, traded, or somehow acquired a suit, from the Mandalorians was it? But.. It seemed.. wrong. They were Imperial Knights not.. whatever that was. It went against every fiber in his being.

Blasters? Rockets? Plasmacasters? That was not the tools of a Knight. It looked so.. ungraceful. As a practitioner of Ataru, he knew that armor would not be right for him, but.. it also felt wrong in his heart. He had been with the Knights before the fall had learned their armor was a symbol of pride.

This.. This was a mockery of that. He knew sacrifices had to be made for the greater good.. but this? He had taken an ancient Bogan holocron and studied it.. was still studying it, but that was the force.. this went against everything that was the force. It was as if she wanted them to move away from the force to technology.. it was wrong.

What was the point in defeating the Sith if he did not remember his own face in the mirror.. he was prepared to be a villain, but he would die a Knight regardless. She looked more like a bounty hunter with all those gadgets then an Imperial Knight.

First the Mandalorian war droid.. then this suit? He did not like this at all. It was almost if she had more loyalty to those Mandalorians then she did her brothers and sisters in arms. Normally, he would make a joke on how he was not going to wear heels even if they showed off his nicely shaped butt.

"I do not like it." Sindri said simply to her question. "This.. feels wrong. All our traditions... cannot be pushed aside for this" he motioned to the armor "technology. We are not Mandalorians. We are not bounty hunters that fire crude weaponry such as those plasmacasters. We are Knights." He said with determination and a hint of scorn. He had spent his entire childhood looking up to the knights.. the heroes of the Empire.. this wasnt it. This wasnt what it looked like to be heroes.

"I can not stop you or anyone else from wearing that." He said softly "But I ask that you think about who we are, and who you are." He knew many of the knights would do anything to eradicate the Sith.. but at what cost? If they threw away their traditions.. how long would it be before other things were decided to be unnecessary? Virtue? Honor?

He wanted to do the greatest good he could do in the galaxy but try to do as little evil as possible. He would do evil, he would use the dark side if it meant he could save more people that way.. save the people of the Empire, but.. this was too much. How long before they lost what made them knights? Maybe he was irrational, but his instincts told him this was wrong.

The newly appointed Field Marshall, Zsaekriel, stood scrutinizing; arms folded over his chest. Leaning into his hip, the Keshiri Marshal moreso questioned the suit's capabilities and restrictions compared to his own abilities; trusting he could make quick work of this suit as an apponent, and if he could then surely their Sith nemesies could.

The sand drifted over his boots and his long white hair played at the back of his neck, standing solid in his opinions. Yet he felt it necessary for him to be in attendance this day. Zsaekriel knew 'Knight' fairly well and wanted to show some support, if possible, while at the same time giving constructive criticism. Perhaps he'd need to demonstrate his point to actually get it across...

"Impressive! Those targets were some of the fiercest warriors I've seen on this side of the Tharin Sector!"

Zsaekriel mocked in a friendly tone, gingerly waving a finger to where her artillery had shot.

Knight looked over as she heard the two and spoke retracting the helmet and ejecting the cape and hood. She breathed a little easier and her eyes weren't straining. "I know who I am, I am a knight sworn to eradicate the darkside and not succumb to it. This is a tool that will help me. Same as the force and a war droid. In the absence of an Emperor our creeds stand. We serve the force and destroy the darkside wherever we find it. Even in our own people." Knight kept moving as she stood there and tested the gauntlets opening a squad barrel on that spun around her wrist and fired off. She wasn't upset with Sindri he was like her. No one actually knew her before the purge beyond Peller and no one knew her after. Why? Because she was far more radical in her dealing with the codes and creeds they followed. She didn't care about anything but her marching orders to eradicate the darkside and not fall to it. She was curious though and grinned clenching her fist and closing the helmet as the saber activated. "Are empire is gone, our numbers broken and the ones who mattered most killed, I would rather die fighting in a suit of technology taking as many of the traitors with me then.. wait." Knight trailed off and stood still as she focused and moved her hand near the boxes sending them flying and activating her gauntlets saber. "Only thing missing from it is a set of pure cortosis gauntlets."

Knight moved more and spoke into her suit as the War droid fly over and remained still with additional weapons on it. She knew that Z was mocking her but then again she expected it. He was with her now and she was alone. "If you want Z I can show you want happens when I interface with the AI systems on a Basilisk? We could run it through its paces and I promise to go easy on you." Knihgt mounted with a force jump the Basilisk as she felt herself jack in and an icon appearewd showing the AI's connection and targetting computers. She also saw all of his weapons and grinned. "Sure neither of you wants a ride, the view is amazing."

"Oh, you'll be easy..."

Zsaekriel perked a single brow, smirking at the challenge. His arm waved out low to Sindri, signalling it was time to move away or be prepared to defend yourself.

"Of course not! I'd rather enjoy the view of your droid plunging into the sand."

The Field Marshall's projecting words (over any noise or distance) were a soft banter, yet his cold becoming face was one of control and a soldier's confidence in his own abilities.

To use their current situation to try and justify this? He did not believe her. She was not a knight.. He was not sure she knew the ideals anymore.. It seemed all she saw was killing and destruction. What made her different from the Sith at this point? The Sith must be beaten. That would not be argued, but.. to forsake everything else for that one goal of absolute destruction.. How much would they destroy trying to accomplish this?

Then what? Die fighting in a suit of technology then die fighting as an Imperial Knight? It seemed the field marshal shared his views.. but if he thought it was an affront to the Knights or merely impractical compared to a Knights natural ability he was unsure.

Sindri took a step back.. He had no intention of riding that thing.. hell, he could not even pilot a ship.

Knight looked at Z under her helmet and remained atop the war droid as she listened and stopped retracting her helmet. "If you don't like what I am doing just say so. Your the field marshal of a guard we replaced because they were ineffective. I will follow orders as is my duty. So order me marshal, order me to stop trying to give us a way to fight back instead of waiting around for the sith to find us and finish the job they started nearly a decade ago." Knight jumped off the war droid and stoop there finally at the same height as Z and she continued to look at him from behind the visor. She wanted to hear it wanted it to come as she spoke. "Kree gather the stuff. We'll position new targets in a different area this one suddenly got useless." Knight looked at her sentinels and motioned to the weapons, ammo and armor for them to pick up with her armor. Besides she had job offers from Myrh for supplies to handle and didn't need to care about the others sitting and judging her... or maybe they stood around either way she wasn't caring and used the force to pull her lightsaber to her hands and ejected the cape and hood.

"Come then. Prove to me your wheel chair is more than just a handicap..."

Zsaekriel stood there, implanted into the sand. He did not believe that this suit was of the Imperial Knights, in agreement with Sindri; yet, the Imperial Knights were in uncharted territory. More in hiding than anything else, it was the duty of the Knights to confront the Darkside and grind it to dust beneath their heel. And yet, he felt obligated to give her a chance, obligated to explore new avenues with which to defeat the Sith. He was most definitely against this issue in particular, but what kind of leader makes a decision without first analyzing the facts. He would test this suit's capabilities, or deem it lacking should 'Knight' refuse his challenge. If the suit could beat him, it would certainly take down a great many Sith easily.

He awaited her move, if she accepted this test. He did not ignite either of his lightsabers yet. The suit would need to earn that privilege.

Knight looked at Z and didn't speak as she jumped up onto her war droid. "No Z, this was a mistake. I should have kept it a secret and avoided this. I am returning to the estate if you require a handicapped knight to pull you out of the fire. Do it yourself." Knight moved as she had the rest of the stuff loaded and her sentinels were leaving for the ship. She would return to safety and security rather then remain. At least at home she she could avoid the feel of these people. And Myrh had work for ships. She would have to uphold her end of the bargain. Knight set the course and didn't look back she wasn't going to attack a person who wasn't evil... Although he did piss her off she still wasn't going to fire. It would waste ammo and just make her have to stay longer to report why. She had her duty but it wasn't an order and now she was out of range speaking and the whirring of the engines could be heard. She found it strange there wasn't anger there was longing. She wanted a friend an allie and these people weren't it. There were strangers to her and she had no reason to trust them. She had no reason to trust anyone but she could use the force to ascertain if they were true or not these people just made her glad she had went to her family home and gotten it running. Meant they couldn't follow and couldn't bother her while she focused. This was not the order she grew up in and it didn't feel right so she would avoid them as best she could and follow the code. She would serve the force in absence of an Emperor and would go after the darkside. Z be damned if he wanted to follow her home. She had left the security with only one name and image for a reason.

[[and knight is out and back to the Pallopides estate. Better yet to be continued in Homecoming]]

Zsaekriel stood speechless, hands lifted as if to ask why. Why would one so dedicated not fight for their cause? Why would one raised in warfare and strategy, as the Knights always had been, not wish to back up their beliefs - their words - with action? A person is never who they 'say' they are, but who they 'act' as; as we are all defined by our decisions and actions over words.

Zsaekriel could honestly stand before her unchanged since the day he had met her. He had learned new skills, had been given rank, and experienced more conflict; though his beliefs and who he was remained exactly as he was. She had turned her back on him. Though he would remain for her.

Zsaekriel had done what others might not have. He had given her an opportunity to voice her perspective, given her a chance to prove the whole of the Imperial Knights wrong; but instead chose to not to enlighten her peers nor herself. It seemed she'd rather waste rockets on targets than even give Zsaekriel that right as her friend and superior. It was an act of disrespect, not only to Zsaekriel himself but also to herself and those who welcomed her as her and not some piece of machenery. However, as far as Zsaekriel was concerned, there was nothing to forgive. He knew her tendancies if nothing else, though he would even go so far as to claim to know her personally. One did not require the historical liniage of a person, and definitely not a name, to know who they were. But it was not Zsaekriel's place to say so. Instead, he turned in the sand. He motioned to Sindri, then began walking back to the ship.

It was a sad day when open arms, especially arms opened despite disagrement, were cast aside for what Zsaekriel viewed as selfishness. Perhaps she would come around in time. Perhaps he would be willing to give her a second chance. He hoped it would not eat at her to continue on knowing her beliefs not yet understood, prematurely dismissed despite Zsaekriel's attemtps to welcome them. Surely she was not sore due to his playful banter, for only because of the friendly relationship he thought they had was he willing to attempt at humor so. Zsaekriel enjoyed a challenge, enmjoyed to be proven wrong; should it be possible. She had denied everyone of that chance. It was her choice to make. And likewise, it was Zsaekriel's place to make such a call. Until she proved to him, with facts, what she believed... how could he take her words at face value? He hoped she'd reconsider. Someday...

Sindri watched the exchange with a frown. He had thought she would accept. Even if she did not beat the Field Marshall, if she was able to fight him on equal footing that alone would have been enough to prove her point. He let out a sigh. It had been the peril of the Knights. The younger knights knew not of their legacy.. they lacked purpose. The older knights had long since forgotten theirs. It was a sad thing to see.

Zsaekriel motioned for him to follow and board the ship to return to the Siths Folly. He would not call it home for it truly was not. Sindri caught up to the Field Marshall matching him stride for stride. "Do not judge her to harshly." Sindri advised. He was not sure what was on the field marshal's mind, but he would offer his insight anyhow.

"It is not uncommon, so many knights have lost their reason. The only thing they see is the destruction of the Sith." He said before continuing "For her, the suits abilities proved itself. Perhaps, she believes that you were merely taunting her or that no matter what she did you would not accept her." He said before smiling at the older Marshall "But what man knows how the mind of women works?"
