Lance nodded as Valen spoke. As soon as he was done speaking, Lance opened the door and entered the warehouse sized room. Crystals glowed everywhere, showering him with light. Having been connected to the force, his sense churned and reeled with all the energy that filled the room. Lance shook his head, clearing it and walked to the center of the room. Laying the different parts of the lightsaber he was to construct, Lance knelt down on both knees and and began meditating.

The trance he entered was much like the first one. He saw the swirls and ripples of the force that the room contained. Each crystal shown brightly and some pulsed. After several minutes, the force lifted Lance to his feet and carried him almost borderline possessing him around the room. He touched every crystal as he journeyed through the room. As soon as he would touch the crystals, they would dim in brightness and the force. It was until he came to a patch of crystals in the very back of the room, almost hidden from sight, that he found his match.

As soon as he touched the crystal, the crystal glowed even brighter and being pulsing with the force. The crystal dislodged itself, having the force wrap around it and suddenly Lance was sucked back to his kneeling position in the center of the room. In fact, he had never left that spot. He had just walked the room through the force as if he had created a ghost of himself. Lance opened his bright blue eyes and found the crystal floating in front of him. He smiled at it's color and density. Closing his eyes again, he began another trance this one constructing the lightsaber right in front of him.

The force did all the work, Lance just let it do it's thing. When the lightsaber was finished it stayed a float in front of Lance. He opened his eyes, exiting the trance and grasped the gray hilt. As soon as Lance touched it, the hilt began to burn a bright red color. It scorched the inside of Lance's hand but he couldn't let go. A moment later, the hilt immediately cooled down and the bright red disappeared. The hilt was now matte black and had a white demon with wings designed on it.

Lance stood up, igniting the lightsaber. A dark blue blade hissed out of the lens and hummed it's first breaths of life. Black strings of energy could be seen flowing in spirals around the blade if one looked close enough and for a good amount of time. Lance de-ignited the lightsaber and clipped it next to the training saber on his belt loop. Exiting the room he caught sight of Valen and smiled. "You sure the Force isn't some sort of drug? Every time we do something I keep having experiences that could only be described as being incredibly high."

Valen stood waiting outside the room, talking with an occasional Padawan or Knight who came by with questions or general chit-chat. As the length of his wait wore on, he drew a cigarette and lit it up, smoking the high-end tobacco cancerstick whilst he waited, hand playing on his emerald-bladed lightsaber from boredom.

Valen chuckled as his student returned before he spoke. "It is most certainly similar, keep an eye on getting addicted, if you fall to the Dark Side I get chewed out and I'll have to kill ya, don't want that. I kinda like you, for a punkass kid." He said, pausing for a second. "Lemme see your handiwork man, that thing is gonna be your best friend for the rest of your life."

Lance unclipped his new lightsaber and handed the matte black hilt with the demon design on it to Valen. Once both hands were free he pulled out his own cigarettes and lit one up, taking a few drags before speaking. "I don't even know what the darkside is, man so you'll have no trouble with that." He smiled, taking another drag of his cigarette. Lance's stomach growled. "Well, that's unfortunate. You hungry? We should get something eat. Just throwing it out there."

Valen took the matte-black hilt of the lightsaber into his hands, it had a nice feel to it and the demon artwork was unlike anything Valen had seen before. "This is a good blade Lance, it will serve you well." He said, floating the blade back to his student with the Force. "Yes, food sounds good, let's head to a diner nearby, they know me there. Free high-end food is always nice, and a few of the waitresses are pretty attractive, and they love soldiers, ask me how I know." He said with a wink, motioning for Lance to follow him as he walked towards the temple's exit.

The diner happened to be in the Lower City, one of those hole in the wall places that are absolutely amazing for no reason. Valen had made sure to conceal his lightsaber, clipping it to a loop in the lower back portion of his armour, letting it be concealed by the brown, hooded longcoat he wore. As the pair exited the diner, a short, dark-skinned and muscle bound Devaronian approached the two, blaster in hand and flanked by a pair of axe-wielding Gamorreans. Valen looked back and to the sides, more thugs, all with blasters, eight in total, plus the little devil and his pig buddies.

"Aye boys, looke here. A pair of rich 'umans from the Upper city." The runt began. "There's a hundred credit toll for both of ya. That, or you can find out what Blaster bolts and vibroaxe tastes like."

Valen laughed aloud, right in the little man's face. "Listen, runt, you walk away now and I won't kill your friends and you. And you can go home and enjoy further attempts to blend Devaronian and Gamorrean genes." The Force sucked into the Jedi Master's body, innundating his veins as he preped for combat.

"I...you...argh! Get 'em bo-!" He began before Valens lightsaber leaped into his hands and penetrated the little devil's throat, the Jedi Master spinning and cutting the pig to the former Gang leader's right said in two. Blaster bolts began to fly at a rapid rate, a trial by fire for the newly instated Padawan. Luckily for Lance, Valen was using Force Valor, a power he'd learned and perfected some time back to not only greatly improve his own combat abilities, but to help those around him become greatly improved warriors. A blast of Force energy shot from the palm of the Jedi Master after he slayed the massive pig thug, launching four of the thugs into nearby buildings or vehicles with sickening, bone-breaking force. It was up to Lance to defend himself and pick up the other thugs.

Lance had a feeling something was about to go terribly wrong. He ended up being right but he kept calm about it. The matte black hilt of his lightsaber was called to his hand by the force. It landed in his palm reversed and instantly ignited. No sooner had it hissed to life than blaster bolts began flying. The first one was deflected by Lance's blade without him moving. He spun around and began moving his saber around as if it were nothing deflecting the blaster bolts. Lance could sense when the gang members were about to fire through the force.

As his right hand moved the saber and deflected the blaster bolts, his left hand called his spring assisted knife to it with the force and triggered it. Without looking back he moved his left hand forward and then backwards, releasing the knife and using the force to guide it straight into the remaining pig's head. It entered between its eyes and exited out the back of its head. One of the gang members in front of Lance got frustrated and threw his blaster to the ground, producing a knife and charging Lance. Lance called the knife back- it flew straight through the pigs head again and right over his left shoulder. The blade found a new home in the man's neck.

The rest of the gang members were easily dispatched. Lance's lightsaber cut right through them like butter. Their dismembered bodies falling in heaps. Lance called his knife back to his left hand and folded the blade back into the hilt and stuffed it in his pocket. He disengaged his lightsaber and clipped it back onto his belt. Looking at Valen, he smiled. "Well... That was cool. Still hungry."

Valen nodded to Lance. "That was good. I think I can take you into the shit now." He said, laughing a little. "Then again, those were Lower City thugs and not Hutt commandos, but hey, what's the difference?!" Valen said, laughing at his own joke a little before motioning for Lance to follow him to the diner, stepping over bodies of the fallen.

Before long the two found and entered the place, taking a seat quickly and being given their waitress for the day, a beautiful Twi'lek woman with a dancer's body. Valen winked at Lance real quick before ordering a Coreilian Ale for each of them. "Don't be afraid to spend, I got the tab. Now tell me, dear apprentice, how was your first day as the most badass student in the temple?"

Lance sat down at the table and after hearing don't worry about the spending, he ordered a bantha steak. Not the best steak in the galaxy but it was better than what he was used to eating. When the waitress gave them what they had ordered, Lance slipped a tiny note in with the tip and winked at her before she left. He'd be seeing her before he left Coruscant, for sure. For the moment, he dug in to his food. After being asked about how everything felt, Lance stopped eating for a second and looked up at Valen.

"It was pretty awesome. Republic trained me to be a weapon, you pretty much upgraded me to a tank." That said he finished up the steak and quickly pulled out a cigarette. Lighting it and taking the first drag slow, he exhaled into the air. After meal cigarettes always seemed more satisfying.

Valen laughed aloud as he saw Lance working his charms on the waitress, ordering a bantha steak like he did. The Jedi Master could certainly eat worth his weight in food, especially from this little restaurant. When Lance produced a cigarette, Valen knocked it from his hand with a light Force Push. "You will not smoke shitty cigs anymore when with me." Mock seriousness in his voice as he slid his own pack across the table. "We are the best, therefore we smoke the best." Valen said as the com on his wrist lit up, a new message. A few quick taps on the touchscreen and he was scrolling through a message informing him that the Republic were looking for a pair of Jedi to help out leading aggressive recon on Bothuwai, a planet they recently lost. Valen detached the little com and slid it across to Lance alongside his pack. "Ready for your first mission?"

Lance watched the cigarette fly to the floor with a frown, a frown that disappeared once he saw the pack of quality cigarettes slide in his direction. He picked the pack up and slid a cigarette into his mouth, lighting it and passing the pack back to Valen. After the first drag, Lance nodded and picked the small com up. Reading through the message a smirk came to his face. His bright blue eyes looked up and into Valen's eyes.

"When do we leave?"

Valen grinned as his student accepted the mission, and then gestured to the waitress that was giggling like a school girl as she talked to her friend and pointed to their table."As soon as you finish up there. Look, she's got a friend, sharing is caring and I just got you a lightsaber and into the Jedi." Valen said, winking and standing up, his meal done and paid for already.

Lance gave Valen a knowing look and stood up. From the table he walked over to the waitresses. He started talking to the one he had given the note, and to the other he gestured towards Valen over by the table. It wouldn't take too long, Lance knew that for a fact. He followed his waitress into the back room, looking behind him and giving a shit eating grin to Valen.
