Kai was not about to look behind him. All he would see would either be a bunch of arachnids, a couple of his recently acquired fellow passengers and a whole lot of swamp. It was not worth risking a trip and fall in the muck. He was making good headway but he heard the slurping and wet hoof falls of the Theelin in time to look at her with a glance. She swatted a spider he had not seen. The girl did not seem like the same one that had been clumsy back on the space station. An expression that said he was a little impressed was on his face for a moment before he started looking at his personav again.
"What?" He said with confusion and scrutinized the device in his boney fingers. Oh right. Nars Shaddaa has so many places and names of things it just layers ontop of one another. I turned the detailing down since it was overwhelming. Gotta remember that But then came to a sliding stop as the brush widdened to show a slow but wide moving river. There was not a heavy current but it was dark and hard to see what might be in the water or how deep it was.
Now Kai looked behind him to see how close the others were before looking up and down the river to see if there was any easier and preferably dried way across. Seeing non he he growled and got a running head start and then jumped into the water. <"Eat a digblubglb swamp!"> He swore in Huttese. His cursing muted to gargling noised as his mouth was temporarily submerged in the water. His body was still fairly fit and with his clothes on he still managed to swim his way across the river. Hopefully it was wide enough that the majority of the spider pack would not be able to cross. Kai spit out any of the likely unclean water and coughed singularly. It did not taste particularly bad. But he did not like the idea of getting a mouthful of wild swamp bacteria.
