"That counts as one..." He said with a sadistic sort of chuckle. "Realize that you are part of the force, and it is part of you. Like any other appendage it is yours to wield. Do you honestly sit and give yourself so much thought to lifting your arm or moving your tongue to create words?" he said, somewhat cryptically. "Now, try again."

She sat there with a look that said- 'oh... Why didn't I think of that?'
His words were simple, and made too much sense, which made her feel absent-minded up until this point.
The rock flung across the room, the serrated point missing Ilya by barely a few centimeters- however the edge didn't. It left a warm sting, the skin splitting, relinquishing spills of blood from her left arm. The stones, besides her initial bias against them she began to build up a hate for the stones. It had left her clutching the side of her arm- her hand now stained an auburn red.

She took in a deep breath through her nose, than released once over again. Ilya stared at the stone, eye-balling with the hate from the last- she would not let it be the master of her, nay she would not let her mind be master of her conscious will. She would lift the stone and shewould show her master what for.
She pointed her index finger towards the stone and felt it, though she wasn't making contact. In her mind's eye she began to lift the stone. Yet it didn't budge. She began to lift her finger along the image of her mind.
But lo, her focus was disturbed by the fine amount of shaking that the stone was experiencing- she lost grip.

"Dammit!" her shout echoing through the caverns.

"Two...closer though." He said and sent two stones whirling through the air, one cutting the top of her shoulder, another across her other arm. "Distractions are death, keep only your emotions and your goal within your mind. A singleminded focus is what you will attain here. Or you will die."

Ilya's eyes widened at the surprise- this time, two stones. She understood the severity of the situation now though.
Her hatred built stronger as both the rocks cut deeper; letting out a groan and a deep inhale as the serrated edges tore through her limbs.
If there was one thing she wasn't going to do- it was, die.

She plotted her finger at the tip of the stone- in her mind's eye everything would be fine, yet she began to doubt herself.
Doubling back a glance to her master's cold dark spectating eyes she through out her doubt with the thought of her hatred- oh how she began to despise this.
She returned focus to the diamond cut granite rock before her and plotted the tip to her finger once more, this time without a doubt she would lift the stone.

She envisioned her hatred for the small rocks enveloping it, surrounding it, suffocating it. She heaved and threw inside of her own conscious imagination. However nothing was happening. The hatred- the burning fire, it was ineffective.
She quickly raised the index finger, a beckoning call if you will, and the stone tinkered across the floor. Bouncing a small roll across the room- it was no liftoff, but it was movement.
Her heart began to race- anticipating the onslaught of stones.

He smiled "Even better, but still not what I asked." He sent three stones at her, one of which was the very stone she had made bounce across the room. One hit her across the stomache. The other two came from behind her, the previous ones still wet with her own blood, arching across her back and around her sides.

Mortificar decided to add insult to injury, still smirking he spoke. "I do hope you fair better, otherwise you'll be walking back to your room robes all tattered and falling off. Leaving you looking beaten, bloodied and weak. Given the disposition of our order towards weakness, that could end poorly for you in so many ways, the least of all being simple embarrassment."

Her eyes widened once again- but this time the thought... The thought that a seventeen year old girl, tattered clothing, weak, exposed- to a temple of dark twisted men. Men that could quite easily take advantage of whatever the wanted.
The cuts on her body relinquished the hate- more anger, fueling the fire. Her hate fueled glare at the rest of the stones said it all.
She would not fail this time- she would lift these stones. For she longed to destroy them with her very being.

She held a gaze- a lock on to the stones, as she blacked the rest of the world away. Deafened all of her senses.
She could not hear, nor even see the stones. Her eyes closed she envisioned the rocks flying at her. Flying at her to cut her- to aggitate her.
She enveloped her reach of hate onwards to pluck them from their disgusting rests on the floor.
The stone began to react- to shake violently on the ground.
She could taste what her master had tasted- she could smell the dark-side enpowering her to lift the stone. Which did- lift.

It float in the air, her eyes closed, yet she knew it was floating before her.
She began to open her eyes and only know one existence- the rock.
Than she loosened her grasp on reality and everything sank in. With a turn of her head she twitched and jerked her hand about- to send her rock flying towards her master.

Despite consequence- she longed to release the hatred.

He stopped the rock with the force, easily. "That would be number four, but the best one yet. still though, I did say you would have to raise all twenty. It's a start." He said and raised four stones, and the one that was sent at him all flying towards her, three slashing across her legs, one across her belly and one up a bit higher, just bellow her collarbone.

He chuckled as the blood was beginning to coat her robes entirely. "Last chance."

Her high and mighty hope was suddenly crushed- following through with physical abuse.
The anger she felt- the fear, the rush.
She inhaled- deeply, slowly the stench of despair, her eyes lit up like the night as a cold darkness was washed over her face. She had her hand still clenched into a fist. Her face began to twitch as she fought back the tears.
She wasn't done for- she wouldn't die. She wouldn't let him.
Standing to her feet she closed her eyes and saw- through the red darkness that was the force, her hatred fill the cavity of the room. Expanding onward around the circular. She depicted within her head; with every touch of her anger, the hate that motioned around the room in a complete oval around where she stand, With every stone that she made contact with, she flung them out of her way- into the air to grasp them in a choke. She was sickened by them as she turned in a sweeping motion to her right- she was disgusted by their very presence and their abuse to her.

She stop, opening her eyes- to send them hurdling- imprecise, un-aimed towards Mortificar.
Consequences would be sorted out later.

"Eat this." she said, smug tone in her voice. Her hate needed an outlet- and despite any trouble it may bring her, he was the closest plug.

He brought up a wave of the force strong enough to send the rocks hurtling back at her, along with sending her flying through the air, likely to crash into the cold hard stone elsewhere.

"Very good...but I did say to lift them. And trying to hurt me? I'm pleased...it was foolish though. Only challenge me when you wish to see me dead." he picked up all twenty of the rocks again, after they likely had hit her in the first place and moved his hands like he was controlling strings on all the rocks, watching them cut back and forth tearing her skin in various places to ribbons. "A mistake you will not forget." he then tossed the rocks back out of the way, watching his apprentice carefully should she try anything else so foolish.

She was thrown aback with the spear tips launched along with her- the consequences now followed. She didn't care though, she passed his test, she would not die.
The stones gashed and slashed at her- she felt she was in a sea of serrated blades.
Her clothes torn to shreds- only few patches protecting her undergarments.
When the whirling cyclone of blades was over she stood; drenched in blood she began to look herself over- it was madness. Only somewhat worst because of the reality of the situation. Yet she didn't care- to her nothing was worse to her than starving in the bottom of that planet, and even then she had been triumphant. She would live-

... She at least hoped to obtain new robes, and a soak. Maybe a droid for her wounds- if anything salt...

"Yes master..." she awaited him to tell her what was to come next.

"Very good..." He said with a smile. And with that he allowed the illusion to fade. She would find herself standing at the place where they met before being taken down into the chasms below the temple, if they even existed. She was fully clothed, not ragged and torn nor was she bloody. She was just as she had been.

"The darkness, the pain, the anger, the hatred. It was all within you...it was all real, because you made it real. I made your pain real of course...but the darkness...that was all you my apprentice." He explained. "But watch..." from his pocket he produced one of those sharpened rocks and tossed it on the ground. "Lift it."

She opened her eyes only to be hallucinating back into reality- the feeling of vertigo was heavy on her. She felt the room spin for a second as Mortificar pulled the stone from his pocket and asked her to lift it-
She was dizzy- the room was spinning and she couldn't focus. She felt drugged- she felt.. Poisoned.
"What in th-" she could barely speak. It was mind-boggling.

She thought for a second at the situation.
Her diziness taking ahold of her-
She focused on the rock, it was frightening...

"No! NO!" she began to shout, out of both fear and hate.

She threw the stone across the room- she felt insane as she came back down from her high.
"What in the hell- You're mad!" she exclaimed, not fully about her senses yet.

It took her a small minute to gather her wits about her- the side affect of returning from your mind wasn't pleasant. It was terrible- Horrific.
But if that was his game, than she would play later- she would have to. She thought for a second, her anger pulsating from within. She dreamt for merely a moment of learning this- learning to do this herself. Perhaps even do this to him, but that would be impossible-

Nay, not impossible, improbable.

"I'm told so, yes." he said with a chuckle at her accusations of his insanity. He watched her pick the rock up and toss it. He picked it up with the force and sent it speeding across her arm. "I didn't say you could use your hand. Now then. Pick. It. Up." He ordered, watching real blood gush from a real wound on her arm, he could feel her strength rising in the darkside as her emotions over took her. She was well on her way to realizing her potential...but a long way from completing her training.

At the site of her blood she bellowed a shreak.
Her anger rose- like in her hallucination. With a flick of her finger the stone went sailing across the room at far more than terminal velocity. It stuck into a wooden beam across the hall.

She gave him a disturbed look-
"I hate that stone- with all of my being I hate that stone." she glanced at him, dressing her wound.
She waited however- for what was to happen next. If it had only been an instant within her mind, than training could be an eternity. A horrific eternity- Today would be the longest day.

He chuckled "It's only a stone, and you control it now."

Many more weeks would pass like that, as training progressed the young girl would learn to feel the force, to see through many of mortificars lesser illusions by trusting her feelings and seeing through the force, and to channel it into her anger and make her stronger able to do much more. On this day, the two were practicing lightsaber combat in a training hall filled with other apprentices and their masters, the girl holding onto a training saber...

"Now, your lightsaber moves less like a stick and more like an extension of yourself. It's not a vibrosword, those are far two heavy and clunky. It's a weapon that can be as strong as you are if you know how to use it. Use the force in tandem and you become something more..."

"Yes mater-"
She relinquished few words within the cold hallows of the monastery- She didn't care for words much, she noticed that she was far more quiet than the other worms and their masters. She doubled over with the force of his saber- tuned down for pain to linger, not death. The intensity was a ruby red- the kind seen within busy speeder lanes' traffic. For a moment she clutched her abdomen and snarled a wicked spit upon the floor.

She beheld the blood of her benefactor's delight stain into the marble counter-tops in which they fought. The glow in her eyes- the fire that kindled sweetly upon a burning hate was such a glint of light refracted back from the source.

"If only you could throw a swing- Master? Heh." she spat at the floor once more- her training in Dun-Moch and Makashi had began a few weeks back with Mortificar, or at least, a few weeks in her mind.

She swallowed herself and allowed him to enter her mind with ease, trail and error dictate that it always served a greater purpose as long as she stripped herself of doubting his teaching. He would make her be free, he would force her to learn, to grow- stronger. Best let him until there is nothing left he can teach me.
She knew- she never had to think or inquire in her mind about it. One day, as tradition, she would strike down her master- leaving him to behold the triumph of growing stronger. And so the chain would follow, like many before her she would either be stricken down or forced to open the eyes of an acolyte to his arrogance. But this was not the time to explain such things.

The psychological warfare she played with was a dangerous ball and chain, indeed. Taunting her master was somewhat, personal. She grew stronger as lest her lightsaber, nay her tongue cut him. He could kill her, but she knew he wouldn't not yet...

"You are not unique, Mortificar! You are just a cog in some great machinery serving some purpose beyond you. YOu are not unique- but another cynical old-man that may curve the force to yield." she spat out blood once more- her training was that of nightmares and dreams. The past few years upon his mind games served her well. However she hardly ever cared to distinguish reality from her mind anymore.

She would some day bring such horrific nightmares to his head- he would be on the sickly end of his own poison, drearily unaware, she percieved.

The training saber was a dark bloody auburn- for she had not constructed her own weapon of the sorts yet, she still came back to the same familiar wieldy ebbing blade every time.
She spun and slashed at him, a saucer of sorts propelled by her will of the force.
It was great times like these that she could feel the presence of her hatred deep within her chest.

"Very good, though one must know their enemy better to truly get inside their mind...psychological trauma is imperative in any battle one wishes to maintain the upper hand in. It can be achieved through words or actions..."

He ignored her taunts mostly, focusing only on the battle at hand, he waited, just long enough to give her thought a fleeting chance of what to do next as their blades crackled against each other. The pale Master then used the force in three ways, boosting his speed and strength to push her away as he spun back he then cloaked himself in the force, shrowding himself from view continuing his force speed he dropped the cloak directly behind her as he brought the saber down in another arc sweeping across her upper back at a downward angle.
