Description:
The MSL-54C was an accurate long-barreled slugthrower rifle. Manufactured by Mandalorian Underground, it was more advanced than the Czerka 6-2Aug2 hunting rifle as it included an oxidizer release module which increased the bullet's velocity. The MSL-54 is often used by bounty hunters and assassins as it was easily assembled and disassembled, allowing it to be smuggled. Additionally, since the weapon fired slugs it was suitable for stealthy night missions and use silencers as it avoided the bright bolts of a blaster and noise.
The rifle features mechanically adjustable backup iron sights with a sliding tangent rear sight (the sight can be adjusted to a maximum range of 1,000 m. The iron sights can be used with or without the standard issue optical sight in place. This is possible because the scope mount does not block the area between the front and rear sights.
The MSL-54C is issued with a quick-detachable 1M3 optical sight. The 1M3 sight at a total length of 375 mm with a lens cover and sun shade, 6x magnification and 10° field of view mounts to a proprietary side rail mount that does not block the view of the iron sight line. The 1M3 sight includes a variety of features, such as a bullet drop compensation (BDC) elevation adjustment knob and an illuminated rangefinder grid that can be used up to 1,000 m , a reticle that enables target acquisition in low light conditions as well as an infrared charging screen that is used as a passive detection system. enables area targets to be engaged at ranges upwards of 1,000m effective ranges in combat situations have been stated at 800 m, depending on the nature of the target point or area target and quality of ammunition and skill of the shooter.
Ammo stats:
FMJ standard round can pinatrate light armor. it is best agenst flesh targets
Armor persing or SLAP round can pinatrate havy personal armor and light vechcal armor
API can pinatrate heavy personal armor but dose better agenst medium armor and light vechcal armor
this is at 500m for every 100m added drop 1 rank of penetration so at 600m the SLAP round dose better agenst medium personal armor ECT.
NOTE: if using silencers it will drop another rank of penetration because the round is lowed to sub sonic it is best used at 500m or less best at 250-300m
