New Character

Alright so I'm thinking about making a new character. Pretty much Caed is toast and Rev is long gone so I'm left with no characters to really RP.

I've been told I can RP an evil character pretty well, which is appealing cause I really haven't seen any evil characters on the site in awhile, which led me to Bogan possibly. Seems like they're having a flux of members joining though, if I'm wrong I may be making one.

I also contemplated a mercenary taung that was still part of the Hutts possibly. Maybe a body guard to a Hutt if at all possible, or a personal bounty hunter. Again I'd want to kind of be a detached character only focusing on loyalty to whatever his duties would be, either Taung or Hutt. Seems like Taung's are a little dead though.

I just did Jedi, but not opposed to doing another one. Have a few ideas in mind.

Indy character has really appealed to me, but not sure what exactly to do with him, doesn't seem to be a ton of indy activity only faction so that's why it appeals. Maybe a spy that floats between factions or something, but I foresee that ending in a quick death. If there's any indy factions out there that have any interest in a new member shoot me a pm of what you're interested in and I may do it.

I'm just looking for a place to fit in, more or less a faction/group that needs a character at this time. PM's or here works great. Thanks.

EDIT: Side note, I dont want to be in the Republic, they're a bunch of ferries :)

something tells me the republic may be looking to restock on military leaders...so you know, may be a smart move anyway :P



indi wise, Jade is more and more bleeding into Hutts, and Bogan so if you go one way or another you would most likely end up working close to JA anyway :P

And when people post these threads I generally tell them to choose whatever they feel the most energetic about and go with that. Also, come up with some kind of plot for it or it'll just collect dust. That happens to all my 'I feel like a new character' characters.

On a more serious note, abide by Nexus's words. A character without a plot or some kind of quirk in their past that allows for the creation of story arcs is a character that is doomed to fail. I don't like drawing off my own chars, but Sonam is an example of a char built with a [potential] story arc; he's years old now, ooc'ly, and I'm still just scratching the surface of what I can do with him as far as char-centric arcs are concerned.

You lucked out. With me if my characters don't have a 'reason' they never get off the ground.

I tend to sort of have alittle plan, more typically based on " every day things" as far as personality and basic day to day life, and let them go from there.... there are a few cases through where characters get made of a specific reason...I tend not to " enjoy" them as much sometimes.
