Hey guys. Since I've joined this site and made my first Jedi char, I was pretty frustrated with the training. As I spent more time on the site, I realized that my views were shared by a lot of other members. Up until now, no definitive change has been made. As Grandmaster, I'd like to present to you a new guideline for training. I hope this will encourage a lot more activity and get people involved a lot quicker. If you have any questions, PM me.

1) To train a someone from padawan to Knights, Masters and apprentices have the following choices:

OPTION 1: 40 replies MINIMUM in any of the Jedi temples + 1 mission. Training wise, I want a strong interpretation of the Jedi tenets and code. I want everyone to understand what it truly means to be a Jedi and what separates them from regular Force users. I also want emphasis on lightsaber combat. Because we're in a war, I want every new Jedi to be able to fend for themselves in a combat situation. Ideally, you can include a sparring session to enforce this.

Mission - The 1 mission padawans have to do along with the training thread is up to the discretion of the master. Missions can be done within the training thread ONLY if your master is NPCing any enemies. If someone else is joining in, the mission has to be posted in the story board. If you're having trouble coming up with a mission, PM me or Will.

OPTION 2: Do 3 missions. If you feel that you can do without the usual 'use the force to lift a rock' stuff, you can jump right into the Story board and do just missions. These missions have to also apply the tenets and utilize lightsaber combat. I don't want any 'let's go fetch this' missions that offer zero danger. This option is for people who aren't afraid to put their characters at risk. It also offers a more fun option for people like me, who've been complaining about the dullness of training at the temples alone. Try to incorporate Republic PCs to help you, as I want more Republic/Jedi integration.

Note: After you believe that your padawan is ready to be a Knight, you MUST PM Will about it. He will look over the training and/or missions threads and be the final judge on whether that padawan is to be promoted. This is to eliminate half baked training or overly easy missions.

2. To go from Knights to Master, please do the following:
Once a Jedi has obtained the rank of knight, they may choose to continue training padawans (and further their own training) to obtain Masterhood. At the very least, they are required to have trained three padawans. Because of the nature, and demanding expectations of a master, Jedi must exhibit fairly consistent participation and display exemplary traits of what it means to be Jedi. Knights who meet the standards may be tested at random by the council, and their own masters, or may request to be tested, should they believe they are ready. This rank will take into account both your OOC and IC attitude and level of understanding. Once you think you are ready, feel free to contact council members. I apologize if this sounds like a lot of work. I need Masters I can highly count on.

***To be on the Council, you are required to PM me. I will make the final ruling on that. Please don't be disheartened if I say no. I will tell you exactly what you need to work on to ultimately achieve the spot. At the moment, we have a lot of council members, if not too many. I'm going to be more open to the spots as the rp progresses***

Additional Info: Weapons Training
-If you would like to advance you training in Lightsaber combat, once again, contact Will. His specialties lie in Lightsaber forms. This option is open to Knights and above. This is quite an opportunity and I highly encourage people to take up on it.

Well, that's all I have for now. I'll add to this if I think of something. Once again, if you have any questions, let me know.
