NOVA TECHNOLOGIES FACILITIES
TYPE COMMERCIAL OFFICES/HEADQUARTERS LOCATION CORELLIA/CORNET CITY |
AFFILIATION NOVA TECHNOLOGIES INNOVATION & DESIGN NAME NOVA TECHNOLOGIES THINK-WORKS OFFICES EMPLOYEE COUNT 75 marketing/15 Security |
Nova Technology’s Business Offices are the center of its financial and operational planning. Located only a few blocks from the Capital building, Nova Tech's offices are unmarked, making them easy to overlook. This fact keeps Nova Technologies from drawing common attention to themselves. Upon entering the building, the first thing many notice is its modern ascetic; featuring sleek lines and designs. The aim is that when a customer representative visits the offices, their impression is one of forward thinking.
This location was the first of the three facilities controlled by Nova Technologies and acts as its center of business. To hammer this point home, it offers conference rooms, waiting areas, and security obstructions for the privacy of potential customers and their secrecy. At Nova Technologies, discretion is chief among our values and we recognize many of our consumer's needs are secretive.
DETAILS
SECURITY
Nova Technologies Offices, like its other facilities, focuses heavily on discretion. Though little in active defenses, the building features blast proof one-way tinted glass, a reinforced structure, security checkpoints, keycard scanners, and finally, fingerprint scanners at its most classified areas. These are passive defenses that act against both corporate espionage and military threats alike. When these systems fail, security teams represent the back up.
OPERATIONS
Nova Technologies Offices are its center of business. Generally this includes all meetings with its customers, its financial and marketing branches, as well as its PR firm. Officially, the Offices are Nova Technology's headquarters, and so high level meetings are often conducted here as well.
TYPE SECURE RESEARCH FACILITY LOCATION CORELLIA/NORTHERN TUNDRAS |
AFFILIATION NOVA TECHNOLOGIES INNOVATION & DESIGN NAME NOVA TECHNOLOGIES RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES EMPLOYEE COUNT 42 Research/30 Security |
Nova Technology’s R&D Facilities were built far from prodding eyes, hidden among the isolated and overlooked Northern Mountain ranges of Corellia. Rather than having one major facility, the grounds are littered with smaller facilities, often with one or two teams of engineers or scientists, to help separate the different projects even from the men and women who work in the highly classified facilities. This way, only a few of those who work here have knowledge of all that is designed and tested here.
The grounds themselves are a wide expanse, allowing for the testing of weapons as well as other technologies in private, without the worry of upsetting a local government by the accidental damage to nearby communities. Those who work here are lucky enough to enjoy, extreme cold in the winter months and dense fogs and heavy storms during the summer. While not home to the most sought after weather conditions, it does allow for all equipment to be tested in live extremes, ensuring that all equipment designed is robust.
The R&D facilities take up a small portion of the grounds, around 4% when combined. Despite this they are outfitted with the latest in design technology, including rapid prototyping suites, fully outfitted labs, and one desert biome to help simulate extreme heat. Coupled with the R&D buildings are living quarters, which offer recreation rooms as well as fully operational homes for those who decide to live on the Northern Isles.
DETAILS
SECURITY
Much of the Security of the R&D facilities relies upon its seclusion. The location itself is not on the official record of any charters and is a secret to any employees not seen as essential. Employees are flown to the facilities through use of droid piloted shuttles. These shuttles erase flight data each time they land, and the droids are locked away within high security storage lockers until needed again. This way access to the facilities is blocked to most. The Mountain ranges themselves are many and are far away from any form of civilizations. In case of unauthorized access, 12 turbo lasers encompass the facility's furthest boundaries. The turret defenses will fire on all unauthorized vehicles that pass its boundaries. First a warning will be sent out on all frequency bands, followed by a second and final warning. Any trespassers will find shortly after that the warnings were no false advertisement. Every facility requires keycard access and employees only have access to the facility they work and live in. The executive officers, of course, have unrestricted access to facilities to keep an eye on progress. Security Teams patrol the grounds in random increments while camera drones scan the perimeter. If a facility is accessed by any intruder, the system is set to lock down, alert security, and purge data. This keeps all data from reaching the wrong hands and insures that our customer's privacy is kept.
OPERATIONS
Nova Technologies R&D Facilities are the center of its research on quite literally anything smaller than Corvette class spacecraft. This includes but is not limited to: medical, ground equipment, aerospace, and cybernetics technologies. The facilities and surrounding grounds are open testing grounds but still offer multiple mainstays the business such as fire ranges and vehicular test courses. On a day to day basis one will likely hear the rattle of explosives or the hum of engines in the distance echoing through the mountains.
TYPE SECURE RESEARCH/MINIMAL MANUFACTURING FACILITY LOCATION CORELLIAN SPACE/ASTEROID BELT |
AFFILIATION NOVA TECHNOLOGIES INNOVATION & DESIGN NAME NOVA TECHNOLOGIES DRY DOCK EMPLOYEE COUNT 68 Research/60 Security |
Nova Technology’s Dry Dock facility was constructed within a mined out asteroid in order to help hide its various projects from any undesired glances. It represents Nova Tech's recent investment into the galatic market, now offering the development of high end space craft of capital classes. The Dry Dock itself is the largest among the facilities controlled by Nova Tech and features a completely enclosed ship bay capable of housing a Cruiser sized vessel.
Nova Tech keeps its promise to provide for its employees by providing homes to those who work on it's Dry Dock. Entertainment, Housing, and a small medical facility all branch off of the Dry Dock and tunnel their way into the rest of the Asteroid. Everything a Employee needs to live a normal life style is provided to the best of Nova Tech's ability.
Much like Nova Tech's R&D facilities on Corellia, the Dry Dock offers a multitude of equipment useful to R&D personnel. The asteroid field itself allows for ship's maneuverability to be tested at extremes, as well as offering a secluded area to test new weapons technologies without endangering anyone in the process. Whatever can't be developed within an atmosphere effectively, can be thought up on the Dry Dock.

SECURITY
As with much of Nova Tech's facilities, the Security of the Dry Dock relies upon its seclusion. Like the R&D facilities on Corellia, the location of the Dry Dock is not on the official record of any charters and is a secret to any employees not seen as essential. Employees are flown to the facilities through use of droid piloted shuttles. These shuttles erase flight data each time they land, and the droids are locked away within high security storage lockers until needed again. This way access to the facilities is blocked to most. The Dry Dock itself is Half a solar system away from Corellia, making it the most secluded facility in Nova Tech's possession. In case of unauthorized access, 6 turbo laser batteries placed on the main asteroid. The turret defenses will fire on all unauthorized ships that pass into its range. First a warning will be sent out on all frequency bands, followed by a second and final warning. Any trespassers will find shortly after that the warnings were no false advertisement. Every facility requires keycard access and employees only have access to the facility they work and live in. The executive officers, of course, have unrestricted access to the Dry Dock to keep an eye on progress. Security Teams patrol the Corridors in random increments while camera drones seated upon nearby asteroids scan the perimeter. The fledgling security fleet, consisting of four corvettes and a squadron of fighters patrols nearby space on a regular basis. If a facility is accessed by any intruder, the system is set to lock down, alert security, and purge data. This keeps all data from reaching the wrong hands and insures that our customer's privacy is kept.
OPERATIONS
Nova Technology's Dry Dock Facility is the cousin of its R&D facilities on Corellia and takes on projects that it cannot. A Majority of the projects taken by the station are those that are in regard to large spacecraft. The facility and surrounding asteroid belt are open testing grounds but still offer multiple mainstays the business such as fire ranges and vehicular test courses. On a day to day basis one will likely hear the sound of capital class engine testing, but not much else as most of the prototypes are tested in the vacuum of space.
