Life on Coruscant could be a thrill or dangerously boring. It just depended on when and where you were when things were happening. On this paticular day however, the happenings were as lively as dust on a shelf. There was nothing to see.
After school let out, Kaala had decided to hitch a ride to the nearest ship docking station to people watch. The air, thick with smog, and the incessant chatter of the crowd created a weird sort of privacy. She was surronded, yet unnoticed. It was a weird sensation, but she chose to ignore it. She didn't want to live inside her head today. She wanted to live with her eyes.
The togruta teen lifted herself up onto a ledge where she could watch incoming ships dock and their passengers file out. She liked to imagine the lives they lived; interesting, filled with travels and experiences and much more fulfilling than eight hours of lessons every day. Quietly, she wondered if any of them fet the Force run through their veins like she did. If they could reach out and grab the little rocks on the ground with invisible hands and aim them at the nameless winged vermin that infested the city. If they could put hands on cuts and reveal smooth skin. If they felt alone, like she did.
Absentmindedly, Kaala twirled a rock through invisble fingers. When she came out of her mental vent, she sighed, then flicked the floating rock toward the thick metal exterior of a docked ship.
It hit right on the dot of the "i" painted red on its side.
