Order of Battle​

The Imperial Military is a vast galactic force with trillions of able-bodied troops, once called Imperial , all organized into an orderly command structure, which divides their armies. Because much of the Stormtrooper Corps acts as a backbone for the Imperial Military, they themselves are also included in the command structure, acting as an elite special force. Hence, the Imperial Order of Battle, or ORBAT, designated the split of the Imperial Sith Trooper (formerly Imperial Trooper) regular forces and the Stormtrooper special forces.

• System Army — 10 brigades (48,000,000 units); Commanded by a General
• Brigade — 10 regiments (4,800,000 units); Commanded by a General
• Regiment — 10 battalions (480,000 units); Commanded by a Major
• Battalion — 10 legions (48,000 units); Commanded by a Major
• Legion — 10 companies (4800 units); Commanded by a Major
• Company — 10 platoons (480 units); Commanded by a Commander
• Platoon — 8 squads (80 units); Commanded by a Captain

• Sector Armada* — 15 system armadas (562,500 vessels)
• System Armada — 5 system armadas (37,500 vessels); Commanded by an Admiral
• Region Armada — 5 fleets (7,500 vessels); Commanded by an Admiral
• Fleet — 5 battlegroups (1,500 vessels); Commanded by a Rear Admiral
• Battlegroup — 6 squadrons (300 vessels); Commanded by a Captain

**Only the Sith Empress or Dark Lord may take command of Galactic Armies, Galactic Navies, or the Star Corps.

* All sector armies, sector armadas, or starfighter divisions, at any given time, are only to be commanded by the Sith Lords via appointment by the Sith Empress, who exercises exclusive ownership over the entire Imperial Military forces.
