[Updated to reflect our new affiliation with the Hutts as well as to show our new HQ in the Lybeya System.]

I'm really confused by this affiliation with the Hutts.

The Hutts have the Bogan Empire for training and military support, which is something that the Bogan provided during the 4 years of the time skip (per the write up).

Secondly, but of more importance in regards to this faction, you said that the Bogan alliance with the Hutt Empire, an alliance made out of necessity, was what made you leave the Bogan -- yet you've just made the exact same type of alliance.

They are saying that they the Force is their reason to be completely self-contradicting.

You have a very good point...something I didn't consider when I made the alliance. I may have to retcon it. The primary reason I allied with the Hutts was to obtain access to the Vergesso Asteroids as well as being able to spy on the Bogan from within their own affiliations.

When Santoro and I discussed the alliance, the new base in the Vergesso Asteroids was to be exchanged for training and help in the Darksaber project. The Hutts can never have too many Dark Side cults it would seem, as they are also allied with the Luminado. I will retcon it in the history to make this fit, but the alliance with the Hutts was a necessity.

You may be able to know more about the Bogan from being allied with the Hutts, but remember that a) the Bogan won't be hidden anymore anyway as they're going to be a ginormous sectoral government, and b) by outright allying yourselves with the Hutts and giving them military support, you've basically outted yourselves to the Bogan so you're no longer hidden anymore either.

Not really. The Hutts have a few hidden allies- PAO for example. They're allied, but IC the Hutts don't have a phone book on public record as to where to find these groups, their training/troops just find their way into Hutt forces. In this case, the Second Order of Lettow would be hidden on the asteroids to do whatever they want, while future teachers go to learn how they fight/train them in the Hutt form.

The only 'public' alliances the Empire really has are with the Bogan, Luminados, and BHG, the rest would have varying degrees of secrecy.

Edit: While it's true the Bogan would offer training to DSS and the applicable training would transfer down to the rest of the armed forces, the Empire's plan is to draw from as many sources as it can to make a 'perfect army' with as many skill sets and abilities as possible, something that a single partnership with the Bogan wouldn't necessarily bring.

I didn't mean the location wouldn't be hidden, but if the Lettow are working directly with Force users, specifically Darksaber, it's unrealistic to assume that the Bogan won't know about that. At the very least, they would know about the existence of the Lettow.

[Attention Lettow Members]

The timeskip is now less than a week away. In the First Hutt War we've established ourselves as a faction, made some allies, and made a very important kill.

The Second Hutt War changes things. As Brandon pointed out, our alliance with the Hutts has revealed our existence to the Dark Jedi of the Bogan, though they still are unaware of our purposes.

That all being said, the Order will be going through some changes. The ranks of the Order will be getting a make over, as will training requirements and other things.

Among those things, will be;
  • Updating of the character roster to make sure we have everyone.
  • Adding a fleet list (our fleet is going to be built with Luminado funds in the Vergesso Asteroids).
  • Militarizing the ranks of the Order, and establishing a firm chain of command.
  • Possible name change to reflect the development of the Order (will have to talk this one over with Lavi first, though)
  • Updating the Order's history for the skip.

Now, that being said, rest assured, you are still serving the same Order, just with a few cosmetic changes, and you will not be demoted when the rank changes occur. All current training threads are to continue on course. The changes listed here do not go into effect until after the timeskip is started on Sunday, April 17th, 2011.

If you have any questions or concerns, please PM me.

Lavi has approved my desire to change the name of the Order after the timeskip. It will be now called the Order of Xendor. If any of the admins have an issue with this name, simply let me know and I'll change it.

The fundamental changes to the Order will be made soon, preping us for the jump on Sunday.
