1. What is going to happen in your plot?

Stuff and things.

In all seriousness though, this is a simple plot meant to introduce two characters to one another with the goal of forming a lasting alliance. There is also a component aimed at seeking to obtain a couple pieces of advanced tech. Namely a T100 Enforcer for Alek, and some smuggling compartments for my character's ship.

3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

The entire plot will take place on Ord Mantell, provided it does not belong to any major faction. In the event it does, however, the venue can be shifted elsewhere.

4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

  • Grier and Alek unexpectedly cross paths while investigating a local pirate gang on Ord Mantell.
  • After realizing their goals are (ostensibly) one in the same, they team up to infiltrate the pirate base.
  • While investigating the base, they discover a pirate freighter with a T100 Enforcer droid aboard. This droid is Grier's true goal, as she intends to steal away with it and hock it on the black market for a healthy profit.
  • Before Grier can commit her plan to action though, the pirates catch her in the act.
  • A fight ensues, Grier and Alek battle the pirates and emerge relatively unscathed.
  • In the aftermath, Grier decides to hand the droid over to Alek, instead deciding on the more practical option of swiping the blueprints for one of the pirate's smuggling vessels so she can outfit her own freighter with smuggling compartments.
  • Post-plot social thread type thing where Grier and Alek hash out the nature of their partnership going forward.

5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

A partnership with Alejandrø77's Jedi, and to obtain the aforementioned tech for our characters.

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

None that I am aware of. If someone is needed to NPC the pirates though, I'll put out an open call for takers. As with all of my threads, however, I strongly prefer to abstain from any "traditional" PvP.

Hey there @Gamov !

Sorry for the delay!

Got some things to answer and some feedback to give so here we go;

  1. Your signature gif horrifies me. Good job!
  2. Ord Mantell has a FTG (Smuggling group) presence but nothing else
  3. Am I right in thinking that this is going to be 3 threads long?
    1. Meet up
    2. Heist Part 1 (Sneaking or battling to get to the ship)
    3. Heist Part 2 (Battling the pirates to grab the prizes and leave)
    4. After heist social
  4. You don't need to have it DM'd but I would need to see dice rolls in the threads involving the heist - they're a lot more forgiving than PVP or DMs in my experience

It's a good plot other than those posts however so once those are cleared up it'll be good to go! Until then;

Yes, this will be about 3 threads long, broken up pretty much as you described it. And I was indeed planning to use dice as a substitute for a DM, so no problems there either.

Also, do you know if the FTG has a large presence, or is it something that could go unnoticed by the average visitor? Just asking to ensure my opening post is accurate to the current goings on on Ord Mantell.

I would prefer if you threw in another thread with Dice opposition please man - you're essentially walking away with two pieces of advanced tech (The droid and the compartments) so I'd need a little bit more of a challenge to you than just one dice thread. Might I suggest a brief dust up with some locals in the first thread?

The FTG is known very well to the underworld contacts on the planet - the most popular cantina on the planet is owned by them behind the scenes as well - but if you're not openly underworld types you shouldn't be bothered

I had planned to split the actual heist portion of the plot into two threads (like you mentioned). One to determine the effectiveness of our infiltration of the base (dice rolls will be used here). And another to determine the actual success of our raid once we are found out by the pirates. Either way, what is determined is that Grier and Alek will have a confrontation with the pirates, and I was going to let the dice decide how effective we are at battling them. So there is room for failure at both stages of the heist.

Alright man - so long as there's at least two threads with Dice rolls then I'm good with this :D

Just make sure you set up a dedicated thread in the Difficulty section for the plot to keep the dice rolls in :D
