Invite only, yadda yadda, pokemanz RP stuff.

So we're doing a pokemon RP. Some groundrules:

• We're playing gym leaders
• You can be from Kanto or Johto, or any region, really
• But the game is largely set in Kanto
• Gen I&II Pokemon preferred for some peeps, but you can do whatever gen floats your boat
• 3 pokemon limit, no legendaries, evolutions are ok
• Stick with your city gym's pokemon type, combinations are fine
• Don't be a giant nerd and argue level and stat differences for minor things
• Move sets are fluid, just keep it reasonable, we're here to have fun

Character Name: Jacques Coustaeu
Age: 36
Appearance: YOUNG!
Background: Jacques served as a proud marin until that fateful day of December 7, 1941, found him aboard a very unusual warship, American-made and captained by a man that was more chin than visage. He spoke only a smattering of English, so didn't know what the loud Americans were talking about. Then came the even stranger storm. Fearing the worst, Jacques jumped ship in a dinghy, but it was for naught. He was swept into the maw of the typhoon and found himself in an entirely different ocean that day. One populated with strange...creatures. It took a few years for the shock of intelligent, magically powered monsters that somehow hadn't wiped out humanity, to go away. And for him to learn English. Why did everyone speak English, save for a smattering of French? Très mystérieux.

Despite the horror of nearly meeting the father of an insane coke addict, Jacques still found himself drawn to the sea, and water-type "pokemon". He quickly ascended to Gym Leader status and used his free-time to study the creatures of the mer.
