Felix found himself walking on the streets of Nar Shaddaa minding his own business. It was actually his first time on this planet which was a stark contrast to the quiet backwater worlds he knew while growing up. Dazzling lights and dangerous streets that he could feel the tension all around in the air. One wrong spoken word or look could get him into trouble with the wrong people. He could just taste the anxiety in the air as people tried to go about their lives but know that going down the wrong alley or taking a walk down the wrong part of the large city could net in a 'eventful' night to sat the least.

Still the man was curious and loved to travel, having taken a ship with his client. Felix often found this to be the norm, often times on his homeworld he would act as the middleman or appraiser amongst traders and buyers. It was often known that if you didn't want to get ripped off you went to Felix. A thing he became known for was a certain intuition with goods able to look and touch antiques or anything and get a sense for the lives they lived. Whether a blaster was prone to jamming or was steadfast and reliable, what was hastily made to turn a quick buck vs something that was loved and cared for. His client was a Jawa trying to get his hands on old imperial ship parts. He actually met him when he was trying to pan handle a defunct blaster pistol on some unsuspecting moisture farmer. Normally the standard would be to kick him out but the Jawa liked his eye for things.

Now he was on this planet with a night off and trying to find something to do. He actually enjoyed simply walking around getting a feel for wherever he was. He found that each place seemed to 'speak' to him. The people that walked its caverns left their own impression on it and it seemed to reflect in each locale. As he was walking keeping his eye out for any trouble he stopped. Looking down an alleyway that seemed unsuspecting. Something called out to him as he felt a pull that he had to just address.

Walking down the alley his mind trying to get a feel for what was tugging at him he could of sworn he heard voices coming from a particular building. Normally this would be the point where he realized he was about to enter someplace he rather avoid he instead knock touched the metal door that seemed to hold the source of the pull.

Without much thought he tried knocking on it not realizing that he was doing it with a specific cadence. Surprisingly enough he was let in with a Rodian giving him a massive stink eye but ultimately shrugging his shoulders and dismissively telling him to head on in.

It seemed he had stumbled into some underground market with many ramshackle stands and shops peddling everything from dubiously acquired blasters to hard drugs. He just simply walked by it trying to avoid eye contact with everyone. Soon descending down a stairway he would find himself in some underground hall with chairs setup but also plenty of space for people to stand. A raised platform had a Mon Calmari quickly spouting off numbers and bids and it clicked that he was at an auction. It seemed like there was all sorts of goods with the current lot being a set of black imperial armor from a pilot. Felix however just joined the crowd and patiently waited as he waited to see if anything came of interest.

Alana had heard of Nar Shaddaa, and from what she knew about it the planet was just a mess and a half of crime and gangs. Which to her sounded great, there was so much potential to restock on her drug supply, after all she was running low on death sticks. She could still feel the numbing sensation caressing her fingers, the dulling sensation of her mind, when mixed with the lights and sounds of this massive cityscape, it felt like walking into a moving art museum. She was absolutely enraptured by the lights, the sounds, felt like she had front seats to the latest holofilm; or maybe was staring in one herself. Anyways, it was great and she was enjoying herself. She had her rifle respectfully stowed across her back, her blaster pistol tucked neatly at her side, and the damn voices in her head were being suppressed by the chems being pumped into her brain; all was well. The real reason she had come here though, was for the auction. She wanted to get something for Kruad and Astra, and if what she heard was true this little auction was the ticket for just that.

It took her a little bit to get into the market place, after all some of those lights were just too distracting, but she managed to find her way and convince the Rodian doorman to let her through. She didn't have alot of credits, but maybe someone here did, and maybe that someone could be....convinced to let her take the prize with her; she'd done worse after all, so what the hell. Stumbling into the auction, it was a little easier to act sober now, though her pupils were the size of a small moon. She found her place in the crowd sliding in next to some young looking guy, and immediately something starting feeling off. She could only guess she was coming down from her high, but there was some strange tingle at the back of her head, like some sort of reaction, the kind you would expect if you put two magnets together and tried your damnest to keep them from repelling against one another. She shook her head, waving the feeling off, it was nothing right? "So, how long you been here?" She asked, giving him a once over, maybe he had some money on him, but there was only one way to find out. "Can't believe people would be willing to pay money for some old Imperial slag." She muttered, turning her gaze back to the fishman on stage. She hoped she didn't miss the object in question, she'd be kicking herself for weeks if she did.

Arden really wasn't a fan of Nar Shaddaa. It was unpredictable, dangerous and, to just sum it all up in one word, sketchy. But every now and then he needed to do something on the planet. Luckily he wasn't alone...

His assault ship touched down on the landing pad and he shut it down. It was an old ship but it still managed to keep up with other ships on the market these days. He rose from the pilot's seat and made his way to his bunk. Opening his locker, he grabbed his effects. On both hips, tucked in two thick leather holsters, were two heavily customized WESTAR-34's. He checked his vambraces, then slid on his helmet before finally pulling on his black leather jacket over his Beskar'gam. He pulled the fluffy collar up, completing his look as well as hiding all his weapons and gear before he turned towards the exit. He had a bunch of credits on hand for the item he needed to purchase as well as a bunch he brought along to spoil himself if the opportunity presented itself.

With everything set, he left his ship and headed towards the location. He saw another person enter the alley towards the target building. He smirked under his helmet. Something told him that this auction was not going to be boring in the slightest. He reached the metal door and gave a few hard knocks. The Rodian on the other side answered with a glare before stepping aside to let him in. Arden walked past and gave the man a small salute with his left hand before walking onwards to grab a seat.

Off to his left he saw the other man that entered before him. He was looking for something, that much was clear. As long as he didn't interfere with Arden's item then it would be smooth sailing. He had a lot of credits riding on this job. He needed it, and he wasn't going to let anyone get in his way. He also spotted a girl falling into the seat next to the stranger...who was quite clearly high as a kite. How the hell did the Rodian let her pass?

In the back of Felix's mind he had relegated himself to window shopping. While the Jawa that brought him to this stinkhole had already paid him he didn't want to risk throwing it all away. A good day's pay was rare to him and he knew better than to immediately waste it on some impulse. Besides there was nothing that struck out to him as something he needed. Still he looked on with curiosity there was still that gnawing feeling that was just eating him up. There was something out there. His mind then turned to a new bit of stimulus.

Suddenly feeling like he was being watched. In the corner of his eye he spotted a woman who appeared to be eyeing him up. An uncomfortable spike was sent shivering up Felix's spine in that moment. Maybe it was just his mind playing tricks but he could of sworn she was... waving? Not like a hand wave but that her entire body was waving and swaying back and forth like a mirage in the desert. There was also another sensation to go along this like a fuzziness or that the air around her was coated in static. He just tried to brush it off. Sometimes when he was around people he would feel different he just put it up to the different airs that people could give off.

Then she talked to him. Her voice was off and as he finally turned to acknowledge her he immediately felt uncomfortable. Not because she had done anything wrong but because a quick look over her and the sound of voice keyed very quickly to him that she was stoned out of her gourd. Still it was quite obvious that something about him interested her., Felix decided to make the best out of this situation though.

"Just got here actually, though clearly I got here at just the right time if you're talking to me." Felix had the small creepings of a smile forming on his lips as he finished. He couldn't help but be a flirt sometimes, but he would really just talk to gauge what was going on with her. How conscious was she? Her reactions? Did she seem to process what he was saying? If she was out of it, he wanted to know. He just felt a natural concern for her. Something told him she was not supposed to be here and that anyone else would have taken advantage of her right now. So he was gonna talk for a bit see if he could persuade her to stay with him for the night, turn down any and all advances she tried to pull on him, and the next day help her rethink her life and maybe get help. He couldn't just leave someone in her state in a place like this in good conscience.

"Depends, one woman's slag is another mans full sabacc. If it had a good story or two attached to it I might have even placed a bid." Felix responded to the girl's inquiry as suddenly he heard the Calamari scream out "SOLD! FOR SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY CREDITS". Felix then shrugged his shoulders as if to say case in point.

"What brings you here anyways?" Felix would ask trying to keep any momentum going. A minute later though the Auctioneer would call out to the crowd.

"Ladies and gentleman, clear your bladders, check your wallets, and stay in your seats because we are at the premiere lot of the night. You don't want to miss what we have in store." With that a hovering table moved onto the stage with a cover placed on top obscuring something that looked to be on a stand.

"As ancient as the clone wars, as genuine as your two eyes can see, we got a magnificent piece on hand tonight. Some of you gun ho weapons collectors have been begging for one of these and all I have to say is get ready to bid us your kidneys because we got the ONE AND ONLY piece for today... The cover was removed to reveal some metal cylinderical object, there was an audible gasp in the crowd."That's right your eyes are not deceiving you we have a real lightsaber folks! One lucky buyer will have the opportunity to own this beautiful elegant weapon from a more civilized time!"

Felix's eyes locked on the lightsaber as he studied it intently. It was then in that moment as he gazed upon the metal frame that this was the source of the pull, He could feel it. There was some kind urge building up in him as he wanted to find out what. Sometimes when you gaze upon something it entrances you and well this lightsaber had just gone and put a spell on Felix. There was a story here just begging to be learned. Felix quickly tried to set up a maximum that he would be willing to part but he knew that he if had a chance to own it he couldn't pass it up.

Biting down on the bottom of her lip, Alana couldn't help but look at him. There was something about this man, she wasn't sure what, but there was just....something. He probably had her pegged for being a druggie, and he'd be right, but he seemed nice; she wouldn't try and take advantage of him. She smiled at his stupid joke, maybe it was because she was high as all hell, but she thought it was cute. "Hehe, yea." She nodded, her eyes locked onto him something fierce. She couldn't place the feeling, it was like what she had with her sister, with Kraud. She was probably making him uncomfortable, so she looked away back towards the podium. The lightheadiness slammed into her as she moved her head too fast, now she appeared a tad disoriented. She could hear him talking, but there was a static ringing in her ear. He was talking about Sabbac now. Weird, but whatever. "Yea, I'm pretty fetching terrible at Sabbac. My sister always beats me at it." She mumbled, reaching up to readjust her hat, swaying just a bit as the faintest bit of dizziness overtook her.

The booming voice of the Mon Calamari man cleared her ears by some miracle, as the static cleared out from her senses. Apparently some idiot bought the flight suit, now here she was waiting for the lightsaber. Though if the credits were that damn high for a jumpsuit, how was she hoping to pay for a lightsaber? "Well, if you must know, my family is kinda crazy over that jedi nonsense. Someone told me they were selling jedi goods here, soooooo here I am." She muttered, her head dropping to give a side glance at the podium, as she didn't want the new guy to see just how blitzed she was right now. Immediately, the auctioneer caught her attention, as the announcement was made. The one thing she had come all this way to see, the one thing that she wanted from this scug hole of a world. "That's why I'm here." She replied, lazily knocking Felix on the arm, though she quickly recoiled her hand back. Even through the haze of drug induced serenity, Alana felt the desire to get a hold of that weapon. Not for herself, to hell with that, but she wanted her sister or her father to have it instead. She was just a little drugged up junkie, if anyone was going to cosplay as a jedi she'd rather it be Astra or Kraud. That was never the life for her. And it never would be. Alana whipped her head back to look at Felix, her eyes still holding a level of fixation with him. "Hey, um, sorry I didn't get your name. I'm Alana, and well....I don't know how much you have on you, but you seem like a pretty alright guy. Mind if we chip together and buy that thing?" She asked, turning to face him, as she put her hands into her pockets. She wasn't going to screw him over, maybe someone else, but not him. Whatever was going on, they had....something in common and Alana didn't know what the hell it could be.

There was nothing that interested Arden at all. So with nothing better to do, he resigned to watching the crowd. His eyes scanned the rows, taking note of what the people were doing as well as who might interfere with his plans. The only people of note was the stranger and the stoner terrorising him. He smiled behind his T-visor, curious as to what was going through the man's mind.

Finally the mqin attraction arrived. Arden watched carefully as it was unveiled. He sat patiently, letting the first few minutes go by as the floor exploded with bids. After a bit, the priced spiked so high that it rooted out all but the richest people...that's when he started.

His hand moved up, catching the attention of the auctioneer. Of course someone else would challenge, but he kept up all the way.

Felix found himself in a bind. After the white haired girl in the hat laughed at his joke, she just stared for a few seconds. Felix was also finding himself briefly locked looking at her. Still the way her eyes locked to his, her mouth ever so slightly hanging agape and her eyes dilated it further confirmed his earlier assumption. She was under something and not in her right mind. The absent minded comment about sabacc ringing with confirmation in Felix's ears. She was barely able to pay attention much less make good decisions. Someone needed to take her home, or atleast a safe bed.

One eyebrow would raise however at her mentioning she had family. A whole slew of thoughts coming into his mind. First being a doubt over whether she was telling the truth. A few times before he made the mistake of blindly helping someone without dolling a healthful dose of skepticism, he knew it better to not be a fool. Yet thinking it over something about the comment and the way she seemed to be thinking... He could feel his intuition kick in. Something told him she was telling the truth. Hopefully her family was actually one of the few good things in life.

An alarm bell ringed upon realizing that she too wanted the lightsaber. While partly out of a desire to have it for himself he also realized that well she could very well end up winning the bid with money she didn't have a debt to whoever owned this establishment. A shudder running down Felix's spine at the mere implication of what could happen to her if she became heavily indebted. She seemed nice and the last thing he wanted to see was someone who already had a questionable life get dragged through hell and back especially if he had a chance to stop it. Maybe if he won it over her she wouldn't throw her money away.

Yet another layer of complication was thrown when he was propositioned. Felix would look back at the lightsaber as his eyes rolled and darted around his head deep in thought. Normally when faced with the situation of being in a sketchy black market auction, on a planet you never been to before, being offered to pool your money with a random girl drugged out of her mind and you were doing so to bid on a lightsaber you didn't actually get a chance to look at... the answer was no. The answer was almost always no. Yet here in this mythical one in a million scenario his intuition told him once again that her offer was honest...

Bidding would commence and Felix's ears would vibrate with the booming voice of the fish and all the bidding trying to be the one to own as the price quickly shot out what would normally have been unthinkable to him. Felix would look at the woman in her red dilated eyes and then back at lightsaber. An idea floating in his head.

"We split even on buying it, we pick it up together and you let me take a look at it before we deliver it to your family. Oh and the name's Felix."

Felix would then outstretch a hand towards Alana palm opened. A part of him couldn't shake the feeling that it was a bad idea yet right now he felt safe in ignoring that feeling. Best case scenario is that they get outbidded, he stops her from throwing her money away. Worst case he would be meeting this mystery woman's parents... potentially. A plucky optimism however was ignoring the red flags.

"Deal?"

The truth was, that Alana had very limited funds. Extremly limited, sorta like....'I sold all my spice for credits because I'm that broke' limited, but she had gotten a good deal; after all, she hadn't going in here like some broke little Twi'lek dancer. She had come in here with a mission, and that was to get that big dinky metal cylinder back to her family. So here she was, staring into the eyes of a stranger and trying to desperately hide the fact she was higher than a kite while negotiation with said stranger to trust her with money. Yea, it probably wasn't going to work out well. She could see the gears turning in Felix's head, see him thinking several deep and conflicting thoughts; or maybe she was just imagining things. He was such a nice guy, not too many of those around these days, but maybe a touch on the young side. It had only taken him a few moments to mull it over, but for Alana it felt like an eternity, as if all time had stopped and she was just waiting for the next second to come.

Her facial expression changed rapidly during this time, between an unsure smile, to a conflict grimace as she waited for an answer, but it eventually did arrive; as a smile return to it's place on her face. Her red eyes were still quite dilated, as she nodded along with what Felix had to say; and what a nice name that was. They were in this together now. She wasn't sure what outside force compelled him to try and help her, but maybe they did have a little connection going. "Sounds good to me partner, I'll even let you sleep with it on the ride back if you want." She snickered, withdrawing her hands from her pockets and slapping him on the shoulder in a playful manner. She could hear the fish man speaking, it was about to get real, and the two would need to come up with funds fast. She put the hand she had just slapped Felix with into her pocket as she fished around for the credits she had on her; with all the dexterity of a stoner, it was going to take a bit.

She looked a tad confused as Felix extended his hand, not recognizing name he had mentioned. "What? No my name is Alana." She corrected, wondering who the hell was this 'deal' fellow Felix was on about, before taking his hand and shaking it firmly, her free hand still gathering up the credits she had to spare. "Alright, Felix, I got about........two thousand and fifty three credits...." She mumbled, as she began to pull the little metal rectangles out. She paused as she realized she was short of about two thousand, and scowled, as she would drop her fifty three credits into Felix's hand. "Sec, I have the rest in my boot." She explained, as she bent down and began to retrieve her hidden credits, trying to count how many she had stowed away in there after all. They were going to start the opening bid soon, so she had best cough up what they had and figure this dang thing out.

As those two were trying to communicate like normal people and working on a plan, the auction was not slowing down. The high rollers were going back and forth with their bids, and all the while the Mandalorian was keeping up with them. The people who hired him gave him more than enough credits to keep up with these people and he was going to take full advantage of the ludicrous amounts of credits he had.

But he was getting a little annoyed with how long this was taking. He took a good look around, seeing the duo of oddballs were still counting their credits. The other high rollers were still going back and forth with their bids. With a sigh he rose to his feet and held a hand up to catch the auctioneer's attention. "Two-hundred thousand credits." his processed voice called out over the other bids. It was a ludicrously high offer, but still reachable for probably one or two people. He still had more, though he didn't wish to use all of it. But if push came to shove, he would.

One other attendant seemed to want to challenge the bid, but he beat the man to it. "Three-hundred thousand credits." he called out quickly and sternly, his T-visor staring the man down. A few murmurs and gasps caught his attention. People were clearly surprised by the bid as well as the appearance of the man calling it out.

He looked at the duo again to see if they or anyone else had a counter offer he had to beat. If there weren't any, his mission was accomplished. He could take the lightsaber and return to his employers and finally get that payment...

Things were going good. She seemed to be listening to him, they haven't put any money down and they were starting to work on a game plan. Felix couldn't but smile at the display of backwater charm Alana had. It was so refreshing and homely compared to the stiff attitudes of most city dwellers. A little chuckle forming as Alana commented and gave him a big ol slap on the shoulder. Who knows where they were going to go but it was somewhere definitely. He'd be telling stories about this night.

Then she didn't understand that she was offering a handshake. Also he could of sworn she thought deal was a name for a second... And then she seemed to be hilarious short on money, maybe...

Oh Dear

A pit briefly dropped in his stomach as thoughts came to him of what he actually just agreed to. He had about 4,000 credits he was comfortable with parting with, barely. The second gut punch came when he heard the bid if three hundred thousand. His mind processing defeat as he realized that there was no way in hell he could come up with that. He looked over to the man who placed the bid. The T-visor said everything. Mando. This was probably the first time he ever seen one but he had certainly heard of them. Elite warriors, bounty hunters, hired guns, butchers. You didn't see one alot but most people would never forget anywhere a Mandalorian visited. This not only was likely that but he was throwing around money so casually it was insulting. Did this man understand what most people had to do to have a meal on the table? Or was he too soaked in blood money?

An idea crept in though. Sure no matter what this guy was going to get the saber but... that didn't mean he wouldn't have to pay dearly for it. He quickly turned back to Alana who was still fishing for money in her boot.

"Unless you somehow found some coaxium in there we're not going to have enough, but atleast we can make that Mando over there pay a ton to get it. Follow my lead and whatever you do don't buy it."

The calamari was reciting his closing spiel trying to caress any additional bid out of someone.

"Last chance unless anyone else is willing to put in an offer this lucky guy is gonna leave with it, going once, going twice and s-"

"Three hundred fifty thousand!"

A silence fell on the room as the crowd turned to face the new speaker seeing felix with a sly grin leaning back in his chair. His head slowly turning to look at the Mandalorian mano a T-visor. Seeing if the Mandalorian would raise.

Alana had retrieved the credits from her boot by now, but damn near dropped them as she heard what the starting price was at. How in the feth did people have that sort of money? She glanced up to her new friend with a look of horror and surprise, her lips pressed together tight enough that it might as well have been a vaccum seal. She raised the few credits up that she did have and handed them to Felix, before rising to be near his height. "Well, I miscounted, only have one thousand. Math isn't my strong suit, but I think he has more to spend then us." She commented, throwing a thumb back to the mortal man behind them. But Felix seemed to have a plan, and Alana liked it. Make the bastard pay so much it wouldn't be worth it. She dug it. "Sounds good to me, let's ruin his day." She affirmed, turning back towards the auctioneer as Felix made a last minute save. The Fishman took in the bid, as the game of costs continued. It all made sense to Alana, just keep shouting numbers until you won. Why not just go for the biggest number though? It made sense to her. She looked to Felix as the Mon Calimari looked for more takers, perking her eye brows she wobbled a bit as she spoke. "Watch this." She stated, before looking up at the auctioneer.

"One million!" Alana bellowed out, as a silence settled over the room. Many in the crowd slowly looked back at her, like of anger, maybe a mix of confusion and curiosity as well, as Alana looked back to Felix and nodded, grinning smugly as she had just sunk the plans of the Mandalorian. "Bet he can't afford that right?" She commented, nudging Felix with her elbow. Mission accomplished, but she wasn't sure how they were going to get the lightsaber. They didnt have the money to put down for that. It soon became very evident, even to the stoned woman, that almost everyone was staring at her now. Made her a little uncomfortable. She looked to Felix, raising an eyebrow. "What's up with them? Did I break a rule or something?" She asked in a hushed tone, starting to feel like a whomp rat in the middle of a pack of kath hounds.

Arden slowly turned to watch the stranger as he raised his bid. There was no way in hell he had that kind of money. Not unless he was working for another cartel as well. He opened his mouth to raise the bet, then the stoner got up and made a bid he knew was utter nonsense. He folded his arms over his armoured chest, eyeing them through his T-visor.

He started to chuckle before turning to face them. "Before I go any higher, and I can go higher, I am curious." he admitted. He made his way to the start of their row, his T-visor hiding the smirk behind it. "Do you have that kind of credits on you? Because if you don't, you might be in trouble." he explained to them. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a card. "I, on the other hand, do." he said, then faced the auctioneer. "I'm calling their bluff." he called out as he walked down the aisle towards the auctioneer. "I don't think they have the credits to even reach that high." he said, then turned to eye the two. "I demand they prove they can back their bid."

Felix knew what he was doing. He came out of nowhere and stole the air from the Mandalorian who also came out of nowhere and he was riding high. He was going to keep it going for a few bids and then drop. After all forcing to make this rich prick part with even more money and get taken to the cleaners seemed like a good outcome for the day. A little consolation prize for the fact that some big honcho of a criminal decided to ruin everyone's day and price out of any sane value. Then Alana spoke...

Hearing the number rise out of her lips his heart stopped briefly and his stomach was crashing it's way to the planet's core. He was about to the go ahead and vomit. That was until the Mandalorian suddenly decided to challenge him. Hearing the demand to put up or shut up from him as he was in mid facepalm at Alana's comment. His mind racing that he was about to get messed up something fierce. He brain was thinking right now trying to think of what to do as he closed his eyes and pressed the palms of his hands together right in front of his lips. It would be easy to just wash his hands of the affair and put everything on Alana. That would have been the easy way. He could do that, walk out and try to never think about this day again. Yet Felix was never the type to do that, and really he could barely tolerate the fact that he even thought of that. Something like this could ruin the life of this woman and to just do it so he didn't have to face anything. No he wasn't that person, he was better than that.

His mind cleared and suddenly he smiled and a low chuckle came from the wanderer. The Mon Calamari now had stopped as clearly this was the first time someone decided to treat this like a poker bet. Felix looked around a small smile forming around the corner of his lip.

"You're right I can't. And she, definitely can't back the bid... But that's not why we did it Mando." He let a pause for effect break out and some whispers grew in amongst the crowd.

"I did it to see if YOU could back yourself up. Tell me how the flying kark do you just mosey on in here, wait for most people to bid their life savings on this lightsaber and then start throwing creds around like they mean nothing?" A further pause as he looked around, everyone was looking at Felix and the Mando for better and for worse, truth be told Felix was flying by the seat of his pants.

"You got a more than words and a stupid piece of plastic to actually back up the fact that you apparently have over a million credits you can just burn? Because if I were the one selling I wouldn't. I see people use that card trick to scam people all the time, you put it in, the creds don't come and by the time they scramble to collect your off some where in the unknown with some mail order sephi and that saber." He was in a way just saying any idea that came to his head but given the mysterious nature of the Mandalorians and the fact that what he was saying had an element of plausibility people seemed to be considering it and mulling over the possibilities. Some people in the crowd seemed to getting riled up and asking questions or even heckling the Mandalorian. Later if he could muster the courage to face the Mando Felix would be getting ready to apologize to him for sicking a mob on the guy.

"Or maybe your buying on behalf of someone because you certainly don't look like someone that would do this for a lightsaber, you... you seem like more the person that would just shank the guy that just bought it, unless you got some cartel behind you; wanting you to buy up all of these goods so they can muscle in on the little guys and do want they want... One final pause for effect as Felix would prepare the closing statement of his filibuster.

"Everyone already knows my place in this but they don't know you. That puts the burden on to you pal."

Alana soon realized her folly, as she slowly looked down to the ground, her hand moved to rub the back of her neck, as she slowly reached up to nudge the hat enough to hide her face. She half expected Felix to try and side step away from here, leaving her to face her bad decisions all on her own. This feeling was only made worse by the Mandalorian shouting at her, calling her bluff, and putting the both of them on the spot. She wasn't in the right frame of mind, clearly not, but even with the high she was feeling she was still able to slowly peice the problem together. She briefly prepared for make a quick withdraw, thinking that maybe if she left it would make things better. This wasn't the first time she had gone and screwed something good up.

To her great surprise, Felix fired back at the Mandalorian. She fidgeted, raising her head up to peak at the younger man as he called the Mandalorian to task. The crowd seemed throughly confused, as they looked between one another, then to the auctioneer. Alana merely stood there staring at Felix, confused as to why he was standing his ground like this. What the hell was the point of all this? She wasn't sure. "Gentlemen, please if we can just-" The Mon Calamari on stage attempted to get the crowd to keep attention on the bid, as the nonsense game of numbers seemed to have derailed this entire affair. She wasn't sure what Felix was trying to pull, but backing the man up seemed to be the way to go. "Yea, who do you think you are throwing some peice of plastic around like you own the place?" She added, crossing her arms and canting her head towards the Mandalorian, as she scowled rather fiercely at him, she leaned a bit onto Felix as she did so. It seemed the auction had been brought to a halt, as half the people seemed confused as to what was going on, and the other half wanted to get this over with.

Arden eyed the man quietly as he stood in front of the podium. He listened to the man's arguments and didn't move a muscle. He simply stared, his blank face matching the lifeless expression of his T-visor. Honestly, this kid was brave to go against the word of a Mandalorian.

When the man was finished, Arden shrugged. "You're correct. This isn't my money. This purchase is on behalf of the company I represent. A company that has had a few very good dealings in the past with this auction. And they don't like losing their bids." he explained calmly. He turned and handed the card to the auctioneer who slotted it into a space on his podium, doing his thing to confirm the funds Arden spoke about. Of course it would take a while, leaving Arden to keep on talking. "So, I'll play your game, scavver. I bid one million credits and raise it with another ten thousand from my own money." he pulled a small case from his jacket and placed it on the stage behind them. "I don't need the lightsaber. The company I work for does. I just need the money for this job. You may have heard of them. A company called Czerka Corp. They don't care about the little guys supposedly bidding their life's savings away at a black market auction, they simply want the weapon for their own reason. I'm just a hired gun doing what they asked. That is who I think I am." he spoke calmly, with a confident voice that refused to falter even as some people seemed to want to draw on him.

"I'm walking out of here with that lightsaber. If you can conjure up a better deal than what I have to offer, and back it, feel free." his hands rested on the grips of his pistols, though he showed no intent of using them for now.

Suddenly, from behind him, credits started pouring out of the podium that served to withdraw money from accounts just like this. It sounded like someone struck gold at a Canto Bight slot machine. In a few moments, a hundred thousand credits were lying by the auctioneer's feet. The rest would be clearly displayed on the hologram showing the details of the transaction as well as the funds available.

But with that confirmation came another issue: There was now one hundred thousand credits lying on the stage by the auctioneer's feet. Never before did they have to withdraw this much money in one go and they were always prepared for it. The less privileged in the room would start eyeing the credits that seemed to call to all of them. In a few moments, chaos would erupt as people would want to get a piece of that money for themselves...

Well this was going nowhere fast. Still guess he played along and put down his own money. Really Felix manufactured this awkward situation to try and save face for Alana. Still it was moot. Oh well such is the plight of his kind. Still Czerka, those were apparently the corporate masters of this Mandalorian dog, maybe there was a morling underneath that helmet for all he knew. Still the hairs on the back of his neck were starting to stand up. Scanning his eyes around he saw the Rodian from earlier rifle in hand scanning the room and with a fellow gangster flanking him. He then saw a massive figure slide into view. A hutt.

Felix didn't need an full oral history of this place to know that this was bad news and he accidentally made eye contact with the eye for the faintest of seconds which caused him to go pale. Hutt turned to the Rodian as he pointed out Felix to him. Quickly hooking his arm around Alana's who felix didn't even realize had gotten closer during this entire altercation. He knew they needed to leave here ten minutes ago. An uneasy anxiety fueled laugh came from Felix as started to speak into Alana's ear.

"he...hehe, we need to run our asses out of here." Felix said in a tense fashion as his body felt liked it jumped into fight or flight.

"So this is the boy who causing so much trouble and his girlfriend." Carried in the air as the Hutt projected his voice across the hall the crowd already too busy trying to scramble for the bounty of credits on the floor.

"Ah Kark."

Felix muttered before making a scramble quickly bolting and taking the chair he sat in and throwing it in the general direction of the hutt and his posse. The rodian quickly raised his rifle and shot the chair causing plasma to burn it into two distinct pieces as Felix started to charge into the crowd and dragging Alana with him. Soon they became a part of the giant mass of people as the gangsters and the hutt started moving in to apprehend them the Rodian and his fellow comrade both taking out stun batons that they would liberally use on anyone that got in their way. If Alana stayed with him they would both find themselves into the center of the people pit stepping on credits and hands reaching for said credits as Felix swung around trying to spot a exit. A bit of panic setting in as he checked to see if Alana was still with him.

This was going pretty well all things considered. Least Alana thought so. To her surprise, the Mando started humble bragging about his great job and ample pay, then threw out his own money like he was trying to show off. What a weirdo. Alana's expression turned sour as she wasn't impressed by the armored man's bravado. Was he even a real Mandalorian, or was he just some corporate fat cat that got ahold of a suit and pranced around in it? She wouldn't know, but anyone dumb enough to carry that much money on them would be smart to throw some combat armor on before leaving the house. "I can see why all the Mandalorians got killed off, you guys can't shut up." Alana commented, clearly not impressed with the Mandalorian, as her hand reached down to caress the grip of her blaster pistol. She didn't care for Czerka, and she didn't care for this guys attitude neither. The stupid part of her brain was telling to hurry up and shoot.

What kept her from doing that, was the madness that swept through the area as credits were cast at the podium. Still on her high, Alana's eyes swept the room, trying to make sense of what was going on, only to be slammed by rather unpleasant sensations. The whole room seemed to be vibrating, as she could feel the sound cascading off her skull; least that's how it felt. She winced in discomfort, closing her eyes to focus past the sensations. She heard Felix whisper to her, as it seemed things had gone south and fast. Her eyelids flickered, as she pushed past the dull pain starting in her head, as she brought her attention to bare on Felix. She pulled her head back in surprise at seeing him so close, though recovered in quick succession, glancing down she realized he had locked her right arm around his own. It caused her to raise an eyebrow, but he probably wanted to haul out of here. He was right, they needed to get out of here. "Yea, think you have a point." She mumbled, as something akin to a riot was starting to take place within the auction.

The voice of the hutt broke through the haze of lightheadiness. Alana's left hand slowly inched back down towards that blaster pistol, as she could at least fathom what was going on here. She scowled at being called Felix's girlfriend, she didn't belong to no one first of all. "You listen here you mother of a sl-" She was reaching for her blaster pistol when the Rodian finally popped into view for the huntress. Her life flashed before her eyes, as a rifle bore down on her. She could see the blast discharge out the barrel, and in almost slow motion a chair exploded as it intercepted the shot. The red eyed woman had just cleared her pistol out of it's holster now, as she raised the weapon to take aim, only for her aim to be thrown off as Felix made a mad dash out of the market. She squeezed the trigger, her aim going wide from the interference of her companion, as the shot hit the ceiling and brought a chuck of burnt ceiling tile raining down. Hell was breaking loose, as several others in the crowd began to draw weapons. The shouts and accusations of the crowd would drown out Alana's strong worded objections at Felix, but she was hardly in the state to keep him from towing her along. She grumbled about being unable to even the score, though a small part of her did agree that this was for the best. Her mind swimming from the blurred imagery that flashed across her pupils and slammed into her optical nerves. She still had her pistol gripped tightly in her left hand, legs keeping pace with Felix, though she wasn't as coordinated as the younger man; for rather obvious reasons. Then it finally clicked with her that Felix was dragging her around, as they nearly slammed into a pair of Jawas on their way into the main hall. "Felix, let go of my hand!"

Things went to hell in a handbasket. People scrammed to get to the money and Arden moved as well. He jumped onto the stage, grabbed the card and his cash from the auctioneer as well as the lightsaber hilt from the small repulsor pad keeping it suspended in mid-air, then turned to get out of the way of the rioting crowd. As he tucked the items into his jacket and shoved past the crowd, he spotted the Rodian as well as the Hutt moving against the two people who messed up his plans. This wasn't supposed to happen. His target was the hilt, that was it.

With a clenched jaw his left pistol left the holster in his hand and fired. The scream went over the crowd and the heavy bolt collided with the Rodian's chest, sending him flying back a few feet. He drew his second pistol as well and fired at the Hutt as he moved towards a back exit. He didn't care whether he hit the Hutt or not, he simply needed to hold the slug back. Finally he got free from the crowd without any damage and thankfully with his mission accomplished.

He burst out the door and hit the wall of the alley across from him. Spinning around, he levelled his pistols at the door instinctively to make sure any of the other enforcers didn't come after him. He stood there for a few seconds before moving down the alley and holstering his pistols. He took a turn into another abandoned alley then stopped to check himself. He pulled the hilt from his jacket and looked it over. It was a curious thing. A lot heavier than he expected it to be. His fingers brushed over it, inspecting the weapon and seeing what it was made of. To think this at one point could be found all over the galaxy in the hands of Jedi. A part of him felt disappointed that he didn't take it in a fair fight, but it didn't matter. He had no use for it. All he needed to do was get off-world.

But that wouldn't be happening as smoothly as he imagined...

Felix wasn't really in the mood to let go as his mind was priortizing getting the feth out of there, besides even if things weren't going insane he still wouldn't have relinquished his hold on her. He didn't trust her state of mind at the current time. looking down he tried to quickly swipe a few credits quickly as his eyes caught wind of a stairwell that seemed rather unoccupied it in hindsight wouldn't be the best exit but it was the first.

"We can argue when we get out of here" Felix called out to Alana as he tried to drag her through the crowd bunch up behind him. Seeing some more gangsters making their way through as it parted for them like a sea. Felix thinking as fast as he could grabbed a random handful of credits from the ground and throwing it at them. In order to get to the stairs quickly they would have to climb the stage. Felix would let go of Alana to do a one handed vault onto the stage before turning back and helping her up.

Once they were up he would pass by the repulsor table and quickly try to twist it around and kick it towards anyone still chasing after them.

"Come on, run dammit!" Felix called out to Alana as he grabbed onto her by the arm and resumed running the stairwell now a few meters away.

"350,000 for the boy, a million to whoever gets that Mando"

Felix's ears registered that booming yell across the room from the hutt and all the looks that sudden transfixed themselves onto the pair. His stomach dropped again. He didn't speak he just ran with Alana climbing up the stairs as both a mixture of a mob and gunfire followed after them eager to make purchase. Going up a few levels and continuing to run he would be frantically knocking over anything to obstruct the path between them and the mob however the pair would find themselves in a corner. With a window to their backs and a charging horde consisting of atleast ten people. Looking back at the window then Alana and then the crowd his heart sank realizing what they would have to do to escape.

"Sorry we had to meet like this" Felix said before making a sprint grabbing onto Alana as tightly as he could hoping that they would somehow survive the next ten seconds. He jumped and braced himself using his shoulder to take the brunt of the impact as the window shattered. Falling he would try to twist and hold onto Alana as tightly as he could trying to position the landing so that Alana would land ontop of him so she wouldn't have to take the full brunt of the landing. Felix though just closed his eyes and tried to come to acceptance with his life potentially ending in the next few seconds.

Instead of the meeting the Abyss Felix would hear a crashing noise as he felt himself slam into something that gave and he would find himself alive even if it was in darkness. He could still feel Alana and his body felt like it had all the air forced out of it, concentrated and then used to deliver a sucker punch to his gut. His back was crying out in pain but he still found he could move. He left his hand up and felt his fingers graze the top of whatever he was in fingers reporting the sensation of plastic, and then the smell hit him. Rancid food. It clicked for Felix what had just happened. They were in a dumpster that likely had the lids opened and when they landed. The force of their landing causing the lids to fall shut. Provided no one saw it they were safe.

What Felix didn't know was that the dumpster he landed in was right next to a certain mandalorian inspecting his newly stolen lightsaber.

Alana was not happy about this at all. "I'm not arguing damn it, let go, can't get a clear shot when you're doing this!" She grumbled, having to stow her pistol in order to keep her hat on her head. Being jerked about to a fro was a pain, and it didn't help that she was still on a high. The world was spinning around faster than a merry-go-round, as she found it rather difficult to keep her bearings. She could vaguely make sense of where they were going, the imagery flashing past her coupled with the noise made her want to vomit, but she was made of sterner stuff than that. Reaching the stage, Ash promptly threw herself up to Felix' level, but it took her a moment to get her bareings as everything just seemed to slam into her at once. Her vision cleared for a moment, but she felt another spell of dizziness take her over. She hesitated, her mind drifting away from where they were as she tried to get a grip. Felix had kicked the hoversled down at their pursuers, and had seized her arm once more, which snapped her back into reality, though she couldn't muster any criticism for the younger man.

As the pair went up the stiar well, Alana felt the dizziness take full effect, as she nearly fell climbing the stairs and scrambled to keel up with Felix; the blaster fire was a hell of a motivator. That stupid hutt was shouting again, but Alana was far more focused on not voiding her stomach contents mid pursuit. Felix was getting a little crazy now, as he threw whatever he could get a hold of behind the pair to slow their attackers down. Finally, the reached a dead end, Alana's mind was swimming as she was hitting a middle point between feeling the high and sobering up, though the running the pair had done winded her slightly. Reaching that windowed end of the hall, Alana was leaned up against the wall, trying to get her head and stomach straight. "Well, hope you can fight Felix, cause this is it." She muttered, still feeling like the world was spinning, but she wasn't about to go down without a fight. She turned her attention back towards the hall, as soon their attackers would be nearing, only for Felix to apologize. She didn't think anything of it, getting ready to draw her weapon and fight this out, instead he had seized her by the waist and thrown the two of them out the window. "What the hell are you-" Alana shouted out in protest as she felt him wrap his arms around her, but there was little she could do to stop him. She felt her heart sink, feeling as if this young moron had just gotten them both killed. Falling while on a trip was supposed to be awesome, or an experience, but Alana found that the reality was far more terrifying. She could only see the world around her falling away from her, as she plummeted to the ground with Felix clamped around her. A shill scream escaped her throat once the sensations finally impacted her brain, as it felt she was falling off the edge of the world and never going to stop falling. She expected a sudden halt, a brief foray into pain before having her life snuffed out. Instead, there was a thud, a dull pain in her chest, and what she could only assume was Felix moving beneath her. The scent hit her next, as Alana let out a low groan, the scent, sudden movements, and nearly dying threatened to overwhelm her, as she let her head fall and pressed her face against Felix's chest. She knew what she was doing, but frankly she didn't care. She was going to be sick, and this was his fault, he could live with the discomfort for a few seconds.

"Felix, if you weren't such a stand up guy, I'd be stark fething mad at you right now." Alana groaned into his shirt, as she couldn't quite see anything with their new enviorment. "I'm gonna be sick." She muttered, as she would eventually pull herself off Felix and throw open the top of the dumpster, before promptly clinging to the side and trying not to vomit. Her hat had fallen off from the fall, as it rested beside Felix in their landing zone, as her snow white hair was allowed to tumble down without restraint now. She felt terrible, and the scent wasn't helping one bit. Alana wasn't in the mood to banter though, as she was starting to come down off her high; little by little she was sobering up.
