Question about technology

So If I wanted to create a Jedi Exile character who owned an interceptor ship as well as a few battle droids, would that be allowed? Nothing special about either of the tech, ordinary starfighter class ship and ordinary battle droids. Do I have to find the specific tech listed in the forums to use only or submit an approval for tech prior to usage on my character?

You have to use approved tech or get new tech approved (or just use gentech) before you put it in your profile or use it in a thread.

As far as starting with those things, I see no reason to not allow someone to start with an interceptor- just know that you may not get very far with it, and you may have trouble with authorities in some parts. As for the battle droids, you can own them, but I would ask why? It seems like quiet a bit of stuff for a level one character who's just starting out, but the Character mods will be the ones to take a look at that. Where would you keep these droids? How do you keep up with their maintenance? Why do you need them? That sort of thing.
