Agreed. Most of the stuff for something like this is pretty self explanatory, but I do need a base of operations noted at least somewhere.

Devil. Are the two RP's absolutely necessary? Could I come up with something else instead, like a sample post?

OOC: Well, here's what I came up with.

“Why should Quick Death Incorporated hire me? Well, let me tell you a story, and then you can tell me what you think.”

“Three years ago, a contract was put out on a certain slaver group: the Crimson Fist. It just so happened that I had run up against the Fist before, and so I had recent knowledge of their base of operations and their raiding habits. The bounty was sizable, but not so big that I wanted to split it with anybody. That proved to be the challenging part, because this particular group was anywhere from ten to fifteen strong. I probably could’ve blasted their freighter out of the sky, but my employer wanted hard proof, and unfortunately partially atomized, vacuum scarred appendages aren’t usually taken as proof. So I had to do it the old fashioned way.

“I put out some feelers and found out they were going to hit Pakrik Minor, see if they couldn’t scoop up some dirt scratchers, so I made sure I was waiting for them. They landed right were they were supposed to, a meager farmstead fifty klicks from the nearest village, and well hidden by a gently sloping valley. I had set up shop on a nearby bluff, looking down on the tall-grain fields and the muja bushes, and built myself a blind. Two of them, Rodians, stayed by the loading ramp, the rest rushed into the hovel, guns blazing, and dragged out a poor local kicking and screaming. At first they were upset—they probably hoped to nab the whole family, but all they got was one grungy looking farmer—but then the way he started thrashing around got them laughing. They had a bit of fun and then hit him with a stunner. The way he waggled on the way down really got them howling, unfortunately for them, it also got their blasters down at their sides.

“I took the two Rodians first, one in the neck, the other turned just in time to catch a burst to the chest. The slavers weren’t stupid, and they pretty well leveled that blind. I’d expected that though, and was already on my way to the alternate I’d dug some twenty meters away, on the opposite side of the valley. By the time I got there, they had finished wasting ammo and decided it was safe enough to make a run for the ship, captive in tow. By the time I got my scope re-sighted, they had found my minefield. Plasma mines and a couple fragmentation—the nasty ones that pop up about knee high and spray slugs all over the place. I want to say the mines vaporized four or five legs, but I can’t be certain. Anyways, four more slavers were out of the fight. Just about then, the decoy I set up in the tall-grain fields started blasting away randomly. Two of them froze up, and I picked them off. The other six managed to dodge and weave their way back to the ship, keeping me suppressed the whole time; like I said, professionals who could take a hit and keep moving.

“They made it up the loading ramp and probably would’ve gotten away, if it hadn’t have been for my surprise. See, I did my homework. Like I said earlier, I knew their raiding habits, what they looked for in captives, how much the going rate on such and such a species was…you get the idea. Anyway, the captive farmer they got wasn't a captive farmer at all. He was a captive spicer, so far strung out that I doubt he could’ve told you his full name. I picked him up on some backwater, where there had been a minuscule bounty on him, wanted dead, so no kidnapping charges. I lured him onto my ship with an ounce of pure Glit, drugged him, and then packed him as full of Composition-9 charges as I could. I programmed the transceiver to my armor’s life-signs monitor, just in case they managed to kill me. Anyways, when the ramp went up, sealing the ship, the signal got cut off, and my spicer bounty went up in one of the biggest fireballs I’ve ever seen. I grabbed the casualty that looked most alive, cauterized his leg-stump, blasted the others who’d managed to survive the shock of having an appendage torn off, and then loaded up and headed out. It had been messy, but happily short, and it was one of the highest returns I’ve ever got on a bounty.”

I would like to join Quick Death Inc. if possible.

I have one RP on these forums with my Jedi's training, but I'll happily post something here to get in if it is necessary.
