REBEL MILITIA RANKS​

The Rebellion is a loose band of resistance fighters who oppose the onslaught of the New Sith Imperium and their occupation of nearly half the galaxy. In this desperate fight, the Rebel Militia does not have the luxury of a traditional military hierarchy, and instead relies on only a few ranks in order to maintain some semblance of command and control over the diverse and often scattered resistance forces. The Rebels come from various walks of life and serve in numerous different capacities, and the ranking structure reflects this; with few exceptions, Rebels generally do not outrank one another.

Despite the overall lack of a hierarchy, there are two ranks, Commander and General, that are led by a General who is understood to be the leader of the Rebellion.

THE RANKS​

General
The small handful of Rebel Generals make up the leadership of the Rebellion. Their primary purpose is to coordinate all the operations of the Rebellion and determine its direction, under the guidance of the lead General. Despite all holding the same rank, it is recognized that the lead General outranks the rest as the leader of the Rebellion.

Commander
Rebel Commanders have shown an aptitude for leadership and are specifically chosen by the Generals to serve as authorities in the field. These individuals are charged with leading Rebel operations and missions, and they must frequently make crucial tactical decisions in the midst of their operations. The missions they lead are provided and directed by the Rebel Generals.


Veteran
Veterans of the Rebellion have fought and earned the respect of their fellow Rebels and have been given a new rank to signify that. These people are charged with leading their brethren on the front lines of the war. They're not quite as well-recognized as the Commanders, but many are seen as tried-and-true war heroes.

Members
Outside of Generals and Commanders, there are no other Rebel ranks. All other members of the faction are appointed tasks and roles based on the specific needs of a specific moment. The Rebels are all in this fight together.
