Legacy Of A Mando'a

Hm... Alright, how do I work these things? I hate outdated tech. No ease-of-access back then, too complex. I mean, seriously, who makes machinery that's five tons, full of useless gears, and has a tendency to overload every three months? I'll tell you who - the god-damn Alliance, that's who. And I mean the current one, not the 'Rebel' Alliance from way back when. So... My friend suggested I write a will. And you know what? I say never, because we Mandos... we're not defeatists. We're the defenders who never back down, the attackers who fight no matter our losses, and... Alright, yeah, I'm bullshitting you. Most Mandos would love to give that speech, I swear to you, and you'd have to sit there and listen or else get shot instead.

No, I'm not that hardcore. If anything, I'm the opposite. I'm a soldier, sure, mercenary, have been for years, but a hardcore, die-hard Mando? Not really. I respect the Mandalorian code, I live by it, loosely, but I've never been one of those who'd adhere to it fully. Life isn't that simple. So I'll tell you what parts I follow, eh?

I honor family, connections, and my friends. I've no blood-relatives, nor any kin related by adoption or upraising. So I cherish those I do have connections with, because I owe my life to quite a few.

I honor the Mandalore, even if I don't like our current one. Rather, I honor the title and the planet its name derives from. Whoever is Mandalore, is my leader. My loyalty isn't to the person behind the name - it's to the Mandalorians who are my brothers and sisters. If an unjust or foolish Mandalore rises to power, and no one else can remove him or her, I'll do it myself to save the culture I'm a part of.

I respect strength and a sense of justice. The Sith have my respect, as do the Jedi. But the Sith are without mercy. As such, my respect for them is directed to their strength. For the Jedi, they show mercy... but too much of it. My respect is for their beliefs. For the Alliance, I respect their order and their wish to bring about peace... but they are misguided, in that they don't want to pay the price for it. For the Empire, I respect their drive and ambition, misguided as it is. For the Chiss, I respect them.. as opponents, as tacticians, as geniuses. They are worthy to fight, more so than most, even if they rely on space as a battlefield.

And the Mandalorians, my culture. I respect it, acknowledge it, and I live my life firm in my beliefs and convictions. Once, we were a proud people. And once, we fell into simple brigand and mercenaries. But we always rebuild and always begin again, learning new lessons. Some say we Mandos are pragmatic, and admittedly, we are. We're warriors, at our core, no matter what path we follow. Because of this, because of our beliefs, we never die. And no one, no matter who they are, Mandalore or simple Mandalorian, can ever change that fact. If anyone were to try, they would die by my hand, in an honor duel - Mandalore, A'lore, Prime, Sergeant, or a Mandalorian of any position in society.

I am a Mandalorian.
And I bow to no one who doesn't respect that.

Name: Rezin Jaylot

Species: Human

Age: 32

Gender: Male.

Height: 8'5"

Weight: 341 Ibs., mostly muscle.

Hair: Shaved cut, black.

Skin: As dark as the night sky. Yeah, figure it out!

Distinguishing Marks: Battle-scars on his back, left arm, right leg, and neck. Bite-marks from kath hounds, a rancor who got lucky, and a kinrath on his right wrist, left leg, and neck, respectively.

Personality: Rezin generally acts, simply put, as an inept imbecile. Which is far from the truth. Outside of battle, when socializing, he's that person who cajols and wheedles, that boasts and praises alike. He's the one who will keep the conversations going, who will make the awkward silences into friendly chatter. He enjoys doing these things, because they're worth doing.

On the battlefield, he's a machine. Without remorse, without pause, without pity, he leaves his enemies behind, dead or wounded so they can't fight. He leads with an authority that seems almost strange coming from him, given his lack of proper education. But he's a leader, someone who keeps those following him alive and those who face him wounded or dead. A perfect opposite of his usual self.

Because of his behavior in combat and out, he has respect - his name is known, it's accepted, it's part-and-parcel among rumors. But most of all, it carries weight - almost as much as the A'lore, more than the A'lore and Mandalore, or maybe on an equal level to both. It depends on what rumor you go by. But Rezin is a name that's famous for generating rumours - and it's well-known that he's always there for his people, when others aren't.

Faction: Mandalorians

Rank: Captain

Strength: 9/10. Rezin is big, quite literally. His body is lined with muscle, and always has been ever since he first arrived on Mandalore. What he did before becoming a Mandalorian isn't quite certain, but he's built for war, almost literally. Fighting is easy for him - killing is easier.

Dexterity: 7/10. Yeah, Rezin's big. He's not slow but he's not fast either. He's good at moving when he needs to, during fights, and so forth. He's quick to react and to act, as well.

Constitution: 9/10. So, covered his size twice already. Onwards! Rezin's healthier than you'd know - he doesn't drink much, and when he does, it's moderated. He doesn't smoke, do drugs, or any of that 'fun' stuff. He works out constantly, keeps himself on edge, and he's fine with his lifestyle.

Intelligence: 6/10. Rezin's a fighter more so than a scholar. He knows basic history, for the Mandos and others that he never mentions. He's been around space quite a bit, learned some tricks, but he always has a team who can fill in his skill-gaps, usually. That said, he's aware of his failings and of what he lacks - but he's used to it.

Wisdom: 8/10. Rezin is probably more aware of things than most people. While he knows he lacks skills and knowledge, he makes do with intuition and what skills he does have.

Charisma: 8/10. Rezin likes talking, to be honest. He's good at it, he enjoys it, and it's a good way to pass the time when he's not knocking skulls together for a client or actively serving the Mando cause. While he can't talk on an intellectual level, he can understand when people are doing so and get the gist of what they're saying. So, he can keep up easily in most conversations. Oh, he's also pretty fun to just hang around with.

-Unarmed combat
-Marksmanship
-Multiple intensive weapons training
-Battlefield first-aid
-Swordsmanship

Rezin know how to use vibroblades and quite a few lesser-made blades. As a soldier, and more so as a mercenary, he knows that fighting hand-to-hand isn't always the best choice. How he fights, though... Well, come find out.

-One Verpine sniper rifle
-One Verpine shattergun
-One Echani-made foil, made of cortosis and phrik
-Datapad

Rezin's armor is painted midnight black, representing, oddly enough, Justice in the old Mando terms. The armor is a variant of the Super Commando armor most commonly associated with Mandalorians. It's been re-sized, re-fitted, and layered with lightweight cortosis and synthesized durasteel. The helmet is the normal Mando design, but the visor is a crimson instead of black. The entirety of the helmet is midnight black, like the rest of the armor.

Nice well done, I could design you a ship if you want, I've been working with Arm on a few new additions to the Mandalorian arsenal, if you want, Good read though very nicely done.

Nah, nah. I think Jac would be the one on the low end of that scale.

Hey, if Skitty could kick Juggernaut's ass, I think Jacques stands a fair chance.

For having a good two feet on Sgt. Maj. Keller, this guy still weighs less than my good ol' Kushari. I find that amusin'.

Another great Mando profile. Very detailed, too. He's extremely tall, though. Good luck fitting in most ships/vehicles/buildings.

As I've said, he's the Juggernaught of the Mandos. :CSly

Jiang, unlike Keller, Rezin isn't overloaded with cybernetics. So.... yeah.

Unless you add some weight, he won't be too strong weighing under 300lbs and being almost eight and a half feet tall.

So much of a delayed response...

Pretty much pegged him at first try, it seems. Still, gonna take a lot o' Force just to keep him in place. I mean, he's bloody huge.
