Talzea came to stand behind Aria, skidding to a halt. She watched her padawan react to the attack. This allowed her a moment to feel a faint tug in the Force. If Aria had pursued the attack, Talzea would have been distracted. However, because she had paused to heal, the Grandmaster abruptly glanced around, right in time to see the light coming directly at her. She simply grinned. Her energy blasted out, almost grabbing a hold of the intangible Force with an iron grip. As a result, the lights abruptly came to a stop and hung in mid air before her. She glanced up at the monkey, raising an eyebrow.

"Cheeky..."

Talzea floated the light over to suspend directly above Owyn's body, threateningly hanging a foot above him. She strode over to him, glancing down and crossing her arms.

"Very sneaky of you, but you could have hurt someone."

Though she was not too pleased with his actions, the smile never left her face.

Owyn blinked several times and breathed heavily as Talzea admonished him. Though he had never really believed his attack would be successful, given his Master's far superior strength in the Force, neither had he fully contemplated what could have happened if she had been distracted.

Not for the first time, the beastlike 'fight or flight' mentality that Owyn had developed as a child was butting forcefully against his Jedi tutelage. He turned a deep shade of scarlet as his embarrassment washed over him.

"I'm sorry, Master, I..."

As he looked up to address Talzea, Owyn saw Aria lying on her side, obviously in pain. For a split second Owyn was afraid maybe he actually had hurt someone with his foolish attack.

In a flash of Force-assisted speed Owyn was halfway to the injured girl.

"Aria!"

Just like before, though, Owyn stopped what he was about to say when he realized the position he was in. Here he was trying to play knight in shining armour for a girl he barely knew, while he should be focusing on the fact that the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order was addressing him for his reckless tactics. He lowered his gaze to the floor and prepared for what would probably be quite a lecture from the older woman.

Aria subconsciously bit her lip as her concentration grew. She felt the wound starting to heal, the pain starting to ebb - and then it was shattered as Owyn called out her name from across the training ground. Her eyes flew open and she looked quickly at him, seeing him start to dash towards her and then come to an abrupt halt. Her eyes shifted to Talzea, confusion etched across her features for a moment as she wondered why Owyn had called out.

She looked back down at her mostly healed wound a few moments later, a blush coming to her cheeks as she figured out that he was probably reacting to her being hurt. They had only met yesterday, and yet he was already showing this much concern for her wellbeing? Either he had something of a crush for her, or he was going to make a very compassionate Jedi Knight one day. She wasn't sure which she hoped it was at the moment. She closed her eyes again, finding it easier to concentrate on healing herself now that the pain was much less then before.

As Owyn rushed past her, Talzea gingerly lowered the light to the ground, floating it over to a corner and out of the way first. She observed the amusing interactions between her two padawans. The Grandmaster walked over to Aria, simply gazing at her. The light wound on her flank healed up immediately, leaving no traces behind. She turned to Owyn, surveying him quietly. He gave in to emotions far too easily.

"I understand you felt the need to protect Aria, and that's admirable. However, know that you would have been useless to her if you had been squashed to the ground."

This time, she did not smile, though her voice did not hold an icy edge to it. She stepped back from the both of them.

"Now, attack me again. This time, no monkey tricks."

Tikk, who had climbed down from his sniper's perch, hissed and stuck out his tongue when Talzea called him a monkey, but Owyn merely suppressed the urge to grin. While his psyche bore the bruises of the lashing just given by Talzea, he had gotten off a lot easier than he had thought. And who said she would have crushed him, he thought with a twinkle in his eye.

This time Owyn would focus his attention more on saber-to-saber fighting, and less on tricks and Force powers. Calling his training blade to his hand with the Force, Owyn reactivated it and held it up in a vertical guard. At the same time, he began sidestepping around to Talzea's left, just outside of lightsaber range. While he wasn't yet attacking, he was making sure to guard both against a physical attack and a Force pull, which he had seen used against Aria moments before.

If Talzea did not react to his movement he would soon circle completely around and have an open attack from her flank or rear, while also giving the same attack options to Aria. Hopefully, at least for the moment, either Owyn or Aria would soon be in an advantageous attack position...though the other one would be left to face off against Talzea.

Aria moved to her feet, flexing for a moment to make sure that there were no residual effects from the Saber graze, then brought her saber up and ignited it as well. She waited until Owyn had completed his circle around Talzea this time before she moved at all. Her eyes shifted back and forth quickly between the two. As soon as she saw Owyn set on the other side, she figured it was her turn to try and buy him an opening. It might just work out better this way.

She came forward towards Talzea, though she kept her speed to just above a walk as she was trying for a prolonged distraction and not just a quick dash. Her saber still in her right hand, she would press forward to striking range. With as much speed as she could muster, she would make a final step and lunge forward, lightsaber stabbing straight for the Grandmaster's midsection. Following up on the attack, she would go into a quick spin to her left, bringing her saber in and using that momentum to fuel a quick horizontal slash.

Talzea kept tabs on Owyn, noting that he moved behind her. She did not react to this immediately, as he was out of range. Her focus remained on Aria. She began a dash right towards the Grandmaster, her saber raised. Talzea effortlessly swung her saber up to perpendicularly meet Aria's. She pressed off and pivoted to her own left, eyebrows raising as she saw Aria pivot to the right with a followup attack.

"Good!"

The two Jedi both spun for a moment, though Talzea merely tilted her saber diagonally in order to block the second attack. Her eyes flashed briefly to Owyn, realizing that he had a chance to attack, allowing all three to truly engage in combat.

Owyn's patience seemed to have paid off a bit. As Aria pressed her attack, Owyn was gifted with an opportunity to engage Talzea's flank.

His body was reacting before his mind had even finished this assessment. With a burst of Force speed, Owyn had crossed the distance between himself and his 'enemy,' his lightsaber up in a two-handed grip which he quickly brought down in a powerful overhead slash to the head. This 'headshot' was pulled back at the last moment in favor of two lightning quick attacks to the left and right sides of Talzea's neck.

Aria felt more then saw Owyn using the Force to charge at the Grandmaster. As she hadn't been slashed to bits this time, she figured she should press her attack as well, to try and help Owyn land a hit as best she could. She took a small step back and quickly shifted onto the balls of her feet, gripping her saber with both hands she would lean into it, basically just trying to keep Talzea's blade locked against her own so that she would have a harder time dealing with Owyn.
