"Want me to beat him up?"

"Would you please?" She laughed just thinking about the story she would get and how it was all her fault. But, Dawn would be in no danger because they had both been trained on how to cover their tracks. "Actually, don't. I feel like I should do it myself at one point or another, and then buy the building from him. Oh god... I'm turning into mom." She looked to her sister with what seemed as a face of genuine worry. Then she burst out into laughter, bending over the table as if it hurt to laugh that hard.

"Would you please?"

"Alright!" she would say as she mimed the motion of her rolling up her sleeves and getting ready to fight. She too would laugh at this.

"Actually, don't. I feel like I should do it myself at one point or another, and then buy the building from him. Oh god... I'm turning into mom."

Just as they had when they were kids they would laugh loudly, both of them nearly falling over as they did. Evelyn would snort several times, which only made her keep laughing further. Being around her sister would easily keep them going into fits of giggle-loops. Every time they thought they had stopped laughing something would trigger the other and they'd go right back around the circle again. Eventually the did stop as Evelyn had become red in the face from not being able to breathe. She fanned herself down, drying the tears from her eyes.

"Ok....Seriously. Stop making that face. You're going to kill me."

"Dont't tempt me," Dawn chuckled and made the face again before finally stopping. She took her sister's dishes and put them in the sink to be washed later on, repeating the process with her own dishes before walking out of the kitchen. She walked over to one of the couches and laid down. She turned on the holonet and flipped to a set of reruns from an old sitcom that the sister's enjoyed when they were younger. "C'mon, you remember this show?"

Evelyn would finish her food and follow her sister out of the kitchen. Dawn would lie down and start flipping through the various channels for something to watch. As she did this, Evelyn pulled out some of the blankets from the closet and tossed them at her sister.

"C'mon, you remember this show?"

"One of my favorites," she said with a laugh. "I'm surprised they still air this."

She curled up onto the couch with her sister and rested her head on Dawn's knees. She yawned and pulled the blankets over them both. "I've decided it. We're having a lazy day." She giggled and began to mindlessly swirl her fingers around Dawn's kneecap while she watched the program.

"So what else is going on in your life?" She would ask as a commercial break came on.

"I've decided it. We're having a lazy day."

"Sounds like a plan," she said as she pulled the lever on the side of the couch and reclined. She watched the show along with her sister, laughing at all of the funny bits.

"So, what else is going on in your life?"

"Well, Nothing much really. I've just been passing the time away, partying and such. But, if you must know, I was involved with someone." Dawn smiled a bit as she remembered Alexandra. Who, was still in the hospital on Coruscant in a coma. Unfortunately, She had got a call from the hospital a few weeks ago, saying that Alexandra's lawyer came in and read them her will. It said that if she was in a coma for more than three years, that they should take her off of life support and end her life. Unfortunately, that time was nearly a month away.

"What?!" Evelyn nearly fell off the couch she was taken by the surprise. "You little minx! Why didn't you tell me? I would have loved to meet her. Are you guys no longer a thing? Did she break up with you?" She gasped. "Did she break your heart?! Is that why you never told me? Do I have to go beat her up too?!"

"No! No, nothing like that,"
Dawn's voice kind of trailed off, a tear rolled down her cheek. "Uhm... She was a Bounty Hunter, and I was helping her with a contract on night. She was hit by a slug close to her heart, she went into cardiac arrest, and I got her to a hospital. But it was too late... They managed to save her, but she's been in a coma for almost three years now, and in her will, she said that if she would be in a coma for more than three years, they are supposed to pull the plug."

Dawn wrapped an arm around her sister, tears streaming down her face. "Please," she said as she buried her face in Evelyn's shoulder, "Please help me get through this... I don't think I can handle it alone."

Evelyn was quick to comfort her sister. She pulled her in tightly to her chest and rubbed both her back and her hair. She shushed her soothingly trying to calm her down. Worry and empathy flooded through her. She hated seeing her sister like this. So weak and fragile. "Hey hey...it's ok, love. It's ok. I've got you. Maybe we can bring Mom to heal her? She was always good at that sort of thing? Or find someone who can maybe? I'm sure there's someone out there somewhere who can do something about it. Right?"

"I... I don't think so. I have tried everything that Mom had taught me about healing, but none of it worked. The only thing keeping her alive are the machines." Dawn's tears slowed, but did not stop, she nuzzled into Evelyn's shoulder, "What I'm going through right now... is hell. Even if Alexandra did wake up, she wouldn't be the same person, and I don't know if I could handle it."

This was not good news. Painful, awful, horrible news. And what was worse Evelyn really couldn't help her sister at all. That was the worst of it. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to say. She rubbed her sister's back and continued to hold her tightly as best as she could. Her baby sister was looking to her for guidance. She had to say something.

"You're going through something so few people have ever experienced. This is not a normal occurrence, and it is probably the worst thing that could ever happen to two lovers. It is not fair, to either of you. Our clan, the Tenebris, believe in fighting to the death. Fighting with courage and dying with honor. Alexandra was robbed of this privilege. We shall all weep for her and cry how Fate chose to bring this passing on you. But you and I both know that death is not the end. Even if she dies tomorrow...she will be with you forever. One day you too will join her in the beyond and all will be right in the hands of those who have passed before us. Sometimes we just get there a little early. But through the Force we are connected to them. We are connected to all those who we have lost and in these memories we will never forget them. You are blessed, Dawn. Blessed with a great power to love those we've lost. If Alexandra joins them, she will join them in peace and be welcomed with opened arms. Take comfort in things you know to be true."

She would continued to hold her sister, trying to calm her down. Her words brought painful tears to her eyes and soon she too was crying. Her thoughts turned to her father and how sad she was when he passed on. He died a good death, an honorable one. That was all he ever wanted in life. His clan was protected and his heir strong. But his mourning was never out lived. Each day Evelyn could still feel that burden on her heart. She knew the pain of losing a loved one. Evelyn couldn't begin to understand what it must have been like for Dawn. All she could do was pray the pain would leave quickly. So as she held her sister, she would begin to sing to her a lullaby her mother sang for them as kids. It was soft and easy on the ears. She'd sing to her sister for as long as it took until her heart would no longer hurt....

"The valley green was so serene
In the middle ran a stream so blue...
A maiden fair, in despair, once had met her true love there and she told him...
She would say...
"Promise me, when you see, a white rose you'll think of me
I love you so,
Never let go,
I will be your ghost of a rose..."

Her eyes believed in mysteries
She would lay amongst the leaves of amber
Her spirit wild, heart of a child, yet gentle still and quiet and mild and he loved her...
When she would say...
"Promise me, when you see, a white rose you'll think of me
I love you so,
Never let go,
I will be your ghost of a rose..."

When all was done, she turned to run
Dancing to the setting sun as he watched her
And ever more he thought he saw
A glimpse of her upon the moors forever
He'd hear her say...
"Promise me , when you see, a white rose you'll think of me
I love you so,
Never let go,
I will be your ghost of a rose...
"
