After much discussion and deliberation, Imperial leadership has decided to implement a change to the faction ranks. As I'm sure some of you remember this announcement, for some time now the Empire has held its second rank to a higher standard than most of the other factions. In order to make that rank more accessible, the ranks are being changed effective immediately.
The new progression will be as follows:
Acolyte (still optional) --> Sith Champion --> Sith Master --> Sith Lord/Darth/Council --> Dark Lord --> Empress
Characters who are the second rank will be referred to as Master and only members of the Council or above will be Sith Lord/Darth. Individuals who have taken alternate Sith names before now will still be allowed to retain these but will not hold the rank of Darth/Lord until reaching the Council.
Additionally, rank 2 will no longer be subject to activity evaluations or demotions (except in the case of consequence for RP actions). Those who previously demoted a character because of concerns regarding stricter evaluations are welcome to use the Master title. Hopefully, this will allow a more intermediate rank for people to remain at regardless of OOC activity levels.
