Other RP sites I've been involved in have a certain etiquette about getting involved in an RP. I was looking over the rules and beyond Open, Ask, Invite, Closed I didn't really see anything about what the preferred way of getting involved in an already started thread is.

If it's Open is it acceptable to just jump in and get involved after a chance meeting? Do all threads have an OOC thread made in order for people to ask whether they can join or be invited into the thread, or do you interact through PMs? When one wants to start a thread in say the bars and casinos, does it need to be laid out with a clear purpose in mind or can it just be a "Everyone sit down and have a drink, we'll see what happens?" kind of affair

I really would like to get involved in RPing outside of a padawan training thread and interacting with the community, so any guidance or advice you all could offer would be very appreciated.

not all threads have to have an ooc. generally if it doesnt you can just type your comment in a single post in parenthesis like this

((ooc: the posting order is blah blah etc.etc.))

also yea just jump in an open. and im sure you can set up an rp with someone fairly quickly. and you can do whatever. theres not too much etiquette here it's all dependant in what you want ...

you can start a thread with me if you like. right now :D
