Obviously it’s been a whirlwind two weeks. Sreeya took a big step back from the site, I came back in, and several admins decided they were ready to step down as well. I am also announcing that due to inactivity Arclight has stepped down as an admin, and due to work schedules Wit has stepped down as a mod.
These changes are all very understandable to me. What I found coming back was a sense of burnout. So it makes sense that so many people would choose right now to take a step back, reflect, and make their decisions to step down or step back. We’re about to enter a transition period with a lot of change, and if the site and the way the staff works is going to be changing, there’s perhaps no better time than to make that decision.
The commitment everyone has shown up to this point has been incredible and I thank everyone who has chosen to step down for all they’ve done on staff. They deserve to sit back and relax.
You can expect that the structure of the staff (not the personnel) will continue to change. In the meantime, I am thrilled to announce that @Faster Than Light is the new Community Admin and that @GABA has returned to/been tricked back into the admin team as Plot/PvP Admin in a new combined role.
Please join me in welcoming FTL and GABA to the admin team! And if you haven’t already, please make sure to post in Dread’s thread, Phoenix’s thread, and Nefieslab's thread to thank them for everything they have done for the site.
