So the new rebels episode came out, and from what I saw of it, they seem to be bringing back a lot of the legend stuff.

The giant rock thing that was shown in the trailer spoke using the legend term of the light side and dark side, bogan (pretty sure that was what it was called) and whatever the light side is called. It was alright in my opinion, I am curious though on what you all think about it.

I like that they set up Ezra as a much darker person, due to the influence of the Sith holocron. However, he doesn't seem to be 100% on that path, since he did accept responsibility for what happened on the Y-Wing reconnaissance mission.

I personally don't quite get why Kanan was reluctant to remain involved with Ezra's training, considering he didn't even know that Ezra was using the Sith holocron for a good chunk of the episode. Kanan's development with the Bendu was pretty cool, though.

Needs more Thrawn in the future.

Hmm. I think the thing with Kanan was more that, after his blindness, he allowed his own doubts and fears cloud his mind, and became distant from the force as a result. Ge no longer felt like he could train Ezra, and distanced himself as a result.
