Stormtrooper Corps Ranks
imperial-small.png

The Stormtrooper Corps (STC) is a branch of the Imperium's Military forces, operating alongside the organized Imperial armies, naval forces, and intelligence, although operates independently and is considered the Imperium's elite special forces division. Unlike the rest of the military, which falls under the command of the Warmaster, the Corps fall under the direct command of the High Marshall, who is often appointed by the Dark Lord himself.

The Corps were first formed centuries ago under the Galactic Emperor Palpatine, out of what was the Grand Army of the Old Republic, which was made up of clones of Jango Fett. Under Palpatine, the corps became made up of more than just clones, eventually being made up of the conscripted humans for the Imperial Military. Under the Fel Empire and subsequent Krayt Empire, the Stormtrooper Corps was disbanded, merging with the Imperial Army, however, elite units such as the 501st still remained.

Upon the Sith takeover, and Darth Exodeus' rise to the throne, the Corps was revived. In this incarnation, the Corps was meant to be made up of the elite troopers of the Imperial Military forces, with the best of the best taking their place in the legendary 501st Legion, also known as the “Fist of the Imperium”. Stormtroopers often were sent into battle with the rest of the Imperial Military, however, several legions of Stormtroopers were sent into battle on their own.

Training

compforceassault.jpg

Before admission into the Stormtrooper Corps, individual members must first either have to be recognized as distinguished soldiers enlisted in either the Army or Naval branches of the Imperial Military forces, or be noticed by a high ranking Stormtrooper and allowed into the four year intensive training course. Once admission begins, STC initiates undergo two years of intensive training programs, combat simulations, and the occasional quelling of small uprisings. All corpsmen received re-educationary skills, such as retraining in the basics, weapons handling, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, and other essentials to more adamantly engrave in them perfection as a soldier. They are also taught and trained in special tactics, from guerrilla warfare to covert infiltration and espionage to intelligence recon to surgical strikes to heavy assault blitz maneuvers. In addition to standard training regimen, Stormtroopers are trained for specialized warfare, all of these ensuring that the corpsmen of the STC are the elite of the Imperium.

Command Structure

stormtrooperinsertionts.jpg

Stormtrooper Major
Stormtrooper Majors were among the most distinguished of the Stormtrooper Corps, and were recognized as leaders among the STC. Military officers that have displayed admirable leadership qualities and superiority as infantry units, Stormtrooper Majors presided over the more regular troops of the STC, and received their orders directly from the high command, known as Stormtrooper Command.

Stormtrooper Captain
The right hands of their direct superiors, Stormtrooper Captains were the assistant officers to their commanders. Trained to maintain the strictest of order, Stormtrooper Captains filled the role of surrogate Commander, should their current commander fall in death without an immediate replacement, or otherwise be incapacitated. Stormtrooper Captains rarely, though, maintain this authority for very long.

Stormtrooper Lieutenant
Stormtrooper Lieutenants were the junior officers of the Stormtrooper Corps, and were commanders of Stormtrooper platoons. In keeping the STC divisions organized, Stormtrooper Lieutenants were charged with keeping order among the organized units, which in turn kept the entire legions organized.

Stormtrooper Sergeant
Sergeants are considered to be the "Gods" of the Stormtrooper Corps. Many believe that it's the best rank in the chain of command to be. Troopers who have attained the rank of Sergeant often have more than one specialization, making them perfect leaders among smaller squads for hard hits in small areas.

Stormtrooper Corporal
Corporals are the backbone of the Corps. As non-commissioned officers within the STC, they hold a leadership billet and perform most of the small unit tactics and maneuvers that win the Corps' battles. It is at the rank of Corporal that STC soldiers are allowed a joint position on the general Imperium Military Roster as commissioned Lieutenants.

Stormtrooper Private
Although identical in name to their counterparts in the Imperial Military, Stormtrooper Privates are far from neophytes, having fully completed their Stormtrooper training and given that, among those who are not put through specialized training, only the best of the enlisted officers of the Imperium are accepted into the STC. Instead, this rank represents the position of a standard, but nonetheless elite soldier of the Stormtrooper Corps. Many times, Stormtroopers of this rank choose to be addressed by their rank in the Imperial Military, or prefer to simply be addressed as Stormtroopers.

Stormtrooper Recruit
Although a demeaning term, a Stormtrooper Recruit is a no less an elite soldier than a Stormtrooper Private. The only difference between a Recruit and a Private is training, as a Stormtrooper Recruit has not yet completed the Stormtrooper basic training, which is different than the basic training all Imperium Soldiers are put through upon enlisting. Often, Stormtrooper Recruit's are mockingly referred to as 'red shirts' given that their armor is marked with a red stripe to indicate to the casual observer their recruit status.

High Command

CorSec_Major.jpg

Stormtrooper Command
Stormtrooper Command (also called Stormtrooper High Command, Strategic Command, STRATCOM, or S-COM) is the title of the militaristic nerve center of the Stormtrooper Corps. A select group of highly esteemed individuals, all of which were former corpsmen of the STC, it is Stormtrooper Command who commands the corps and directs the corpsmen to carry out the will of their Dark Lord. Members of Stormtrooper Command found incompetent would be demoted to rejoin the other corpsmen or would be executed. The head of Stormtrooper Command is called, and holds the rank of High Marshal, and is also overseen by several Brigadiers and Colonels. The High Marshal is hand picked by the Dark Lord, and is independent of the authority of figures within the Imperial Navies and Armies, answering only to the Dark Lord himself.

Dark Lord
As the embodiments of the the New Sith Imperium itself, the Dark Lord in consequence has direct personal control over the Crops and can dictate their actions according to his will. In this way, the STC is very much like a private army, able to disembark and take action without the consent or needed authority of any other authoritative figure within the Sith Imperium's Military forces, including even the Warmaster himself.

High Marshal
The High Marshal, sometimes addressed as the Grand Marshal, is the foremost military commander and head of the Stormtrooper Corps' High Command. Despite being a separate military entity from the main forces of the Imperial Military, the High Marshal is a specially appointed rank, able to be bestowed only by the Sith Empress. In turn, the High Marshal answers only to the Empress herself, and coupled with his independent status from the main military command and the strength of the STC, the High Marshal possesses a rank akin to the Grand Admiral and Grand General, and although inferior in rank, is exempt from the direct authority of the Sith Military Warmaster.

Sith General
A Sith General is the Highest attainable rank for a Sith within the Imperium military, and the only attainable rank within the Stormtrooper Corps. They may lead any division for any reason at execution from the Dark Lord of the Sith. They do not lead any one division specifically, but are called upon as needed to lead soldiers through major conflicts.

Corps Commander
The Corps Commander, a prestigious and powerful position within the Stormtrooper Corps, is specifically designed to be the Commander of a full Division within the 909th Theater. The Corps Commander is in charge of ensuring his division is running smoothly and correctly, commanding his division when the entire division is sent out, and choosing the commanders to lead when a small group within the Division is needed.

Colonel
Colonel is the initially received rank within the STC High Command structure, and thus is the most junior. Colonels are assigned to their senior Corps Commanders or Sith Generals as assistants and officers in their absence, and are assigned one to each Corps Commander.

New Sith Imperium
Divisions Roster

909th Theater
eveonlinestatewaracadem.png

The 909th Theater, also called the Hammer of the Imperium, is the largest military division of the STC. With over twenty million troops strong, of various specializations and intradivisions, the 909th serves as the New Sith Imperium's most recognizable and foremost outgoing force of military might, thus earning their moniker. The 909th Theater is made up of smaller legions and regiments, which make up some of the other divisions of the STC. The 909th is extremely rarely called upon as a whole. Instead, fractions of the 909th are dispatched at any given time, to suit the needs of the Imperium. Thus, when troops are dispatched under the banner of the 909th, they are often an amalgamation of several divisions formed together. Because nearly all of the STC corps are derived out of the 909th, their members are organized by their smaller divisions.

66th Regiment
eveonlinetashmurkonfami.png

The 66th Regiment, also called The Machine, is one of the many branches of the 909th Theater. Specializing in enforcing martial law, domestic subservience, quelling uprisings, "adjusting" governments, or even toppling civilizations, the 66th is a military division of the STC that is largely formulated of Assault Troopers, aka "Super" Stormtroopers. The 66th is arguably the most dreaded sight of any world to have the misfortune of witnessing firsthand.

Roster
Alexander Davidson -- Private
Jonathan Ganthus Baul -- Private
Cristo Morrell -- Recruit

103rd Brigade
eveonlinesarumfamilybyh.png

The 103rd Brigade, also known as the Empire's Omen, is one of the many branches of the 909th Theater. Specializing in urban warfare, preemptive attacks, surgical strikes, and destabilizing foreign governments, the 103rd is a military division of the STC that is largely formulated of Urban Troopers. True to their namesake, the 103rd present on any world not of the Imperium's is almost exclusively a foreboding sign of the Imperium's armada arriving.

Roster
Rufus Scryer -- Corps Commander
Calyx Bahryn -- Private
Krail Racksis -- Private
Deker Malgus -- Private
Valeska Jayne Stargazer -- Private
Nerio Xylio -- Recruit
Draven Darkstar -- Recruit

181st Wing
eveonlinetruepowerbyheg.png

The 181st Wing, also known as the Acheron Squadron, is one of the many branches of the 909th Theater. Specializing in stellar conflict, ship-to-ship dogfighting, and other TIE vessel based operations, the 181st is the sole division of the 909th that operates solely in space and in TIE vessels, although the 501st also utilize TIE vessels. As such, the 181st is entirely made up of TIE Troopers. True to the Corellian mythology roots of the 181st's alias, the 181st act as the Empire's heralds, purging the galaxy of the "sins" of their enemies.

Roster
Istvaan Aurelius Creed -- Corps Commander
Julius Nazario -- Colonel
Bernogne Wael -- Captain

471st Battalion
eveonlineimpetusbyhegem.png

The 471st Battalion, also known as The Incursion, is one of the many branches of the 909th Theater. Specializing in combat in hostile or extreme environments, from frigid arctic weather and mountainous regions, to toxic climates and inhospitably harsh terrain, the 471st is a military division of the STC that is largely formulated of Snowtroopers and HOSTEN Troopers. Earning the moniker of The Incursion, the 471st are most often dispatched to dominate hostile worlds with hazardous or extreme conditions.

Roster
Xael Vicar -- Corps Commander
Tym Ellison -- HOSTEN Private
Nil 'Flicker' Ja'Wambi -- HOSTEN Private

501st Legion
eveonlineangelcartelbyh.png

The 501st Legion, also known as the Fangs of the Imperium, is one of the divisions of the STC, but unlike most, is not a smaller subdivision of the 909th Theater, but is instead an independent military strike force. Made up of the New Sith Imperium's most elite commandos and special forces, the 501st is the most famous fighting force in all of the Empire, and quite arguably, the entire galaxy. Historically over one thousand years old, the 501st has been one of the most coveted military legions in all the STC. Dispatched to serve whatever need the Dark Lord decrees, the 501st has no singular function, and enforce their master's will to any enemies of the Imperium, external or internal.

Roster
Konnor Tarkin -- Corps Commander
Io Raylex -- Corporal
Sair Besand -- Corporal
Ravel Diarra -- Recruit

Specializations

imperial-small.png

As the elite fighting force of the Imperium, Stormtroopers are extensively trained in various additional specializations of combat and warfare in order to make them the elite fighting force in any given military situation. As such, Stormtroopers are the elite special forces in any given battle they participate in. Some of the many specializations are as followed;

Snowtroopers

Snowtroopers, also called Cold Assault Stormtroopers, are members of the Stormtrooper Crops specially trained for combat and warfare in harsh arctic conditions or extreme mountainous regions. Equipped with rugged, thermally insulated armor, tactical terrain boots, grappling hiiks, ion flares, and an arsenal of other equipment, Snowtroopers are among the more common specialization, and are dispatched upon ice and arctic worlds across the galaxy.

TIE Troopers

ff811.png

TIE Troopers, also called Stormtrooper Pilots, Spacetroopers and historically speaking, TIE Pilots, are a division of the Stormtrooper Corps with less than 10% of its cadets graduating. TIE Troopers are easily recognized by their black space suits, and are infamously known to undergo grueling physical and psychological conditioning for stellar combat. Fitted with enclosed suits with limited life support systems, TIE Troopers are dispatched in variants of TIE Fighters and Bombers, from TIE Interceptors to TIE Predators to TIE Defenders and beyond.

Scout Troopers

antennadestructioncotf.jpg

Scout Troopers, often known as Recon Stormtroopers, are a division of "complex infantry", namely, they engage in strategic combat too unorthodox for the general infantry of the Stormtrooper Corps. Trained to be specialists in reconnaissance, Scout Troopers were known galaxy-wide as infamous marksmen. Snipers to fill the role of assassin, survivalists, and spies, Scout Troopers are often dispatched with standard Stormtroopers as defensive or offensive support.

Assault Troopers

stimarmorswgtcgaod.jpg

Assault Troopers, also called Heavy Stormtroopers and Shock Troopers, were the vanguard of the Stormtrooper Corps. Trained in all ranges of combat, and fitted with heavy ranged and melee weaponry, thick armor, and stim packs for pinnacle combat efficiency, Assault Troopers were the crushing force of the Stormtrooper Corps, often sent to decimate resistance, insurrections, or native inhabitants into submission. In the eyes of many in the galaxy, Assault Troopers were perceived essentially as "Super" Stormtroopers.

HOSTEN Troopers

oppressorflamethrower.jpg

Hostile Environment Troopers, more commonly called HOSTEN Troopers, Hazard Troopers, or EVO Troopers, are a branch of Stormtroopers specially trained to brave the harshest and most toxic of climates and terrains, ranging from the poisonously lethal airs of Raxus Prime, to the volcanic climate of Shola. As such, HOSTEN Troopers are often armed with flamethrowers, or other like weapons, and wear heavily specialized armor to regulate their rebreathers and air intake, additional sealing countermeasures to ensure the stability of the armor's internal supply, treated and conditioned armor to bear the environment around them, and more.

Urban Troopers

fragmentationgrenade.jpg

Urban Troopers, also called Polis Stormtroopers, are a division of the Stormtrooper Crops that, true to their namesake, specialize in urban warfare. Engaging in guerrilla tactics, surgical strikes, hit-and-runs, and other less traditional warfare, Urban Troopers are essentially the special ops of the Stormtrooper Corps, and are more often dispatched to shatter, destabilize, or otherwise cripple a target before the bulk military forces of the Imperium move in.

Strike Troopers

rocketlauncherswgtcg.jpg

Strike Troopers, also called Heavy Weapons Trooper and Demolition Stormtroopers, were skilled members of the Stormtrooper Corps that operated alongside the bulk military forces, providing demolition assistance and tactical strikes with heavy personal weaponry, hence their name. The Strike Troopers have various duties, from laying down minefields, to disabling explosives, to providing tactical vehicular offense, and various other duties.

Stormtrooper Commandos

c861.png

Stormtrooper Commandos, also called Storm Commandos, Blackhole Stormtroopers, and Shadow Stormtroopers, and the most elite of the Stormtrooper Corps, and even make up the legendary 501st Legion. Able for direct assaults, infiltration tactics, marine warfare, and more, the Stormtrooper Commandos are the absolute best of the best, save for the Imperial Royal Guard. Stormtrooper Commandos are equipped with matte black armor, special weapons and armors, repulsorpacks and unique starships for their missions. As the prime special forces of the Imperium, the Stormtrooper Commandos are sent to deal with the Imperium's most difficult enemies, and are the dread of any enemy to cross their paths. Select members of the Stormtrooper Commandos are elected to be members of the Imperial Guard.

Imperial Guard

novatrooper.jpg

The Imperial Guard, also known as the Honor Guard, the Nova Guard, and Novatroopers, are the absolute elite of the Stormtrooper Commandos chosen to be part of the Sith Empress's personal royal guard. Unmistakably distinguished by their black armor laced with gold, the Imperial Guard is a seldom seen force, even by members of the Imperium, as their duty is to the Emperor alone. Fanatically loyal to the Sith Empress, the Imperial Guard is considered to arguably be the most deadly fighting force in the entire galaxy.
