In the vast plains of Correllia, Voka sighted a massive freighter ship out from distance while riding his speeder bike. He glanced down his datapad to make sure that gigantic warship was that of the Bounty Hunters Guild mobile HQ, “Jericho”, and not some Galactic Republic campsite that housed soldiers anxiously waiting for the end of the ceasefire. The numerous turrets on the ship would intimidate many passing transports in space. Surprised that his datapad confirmed that it was the “Jericho”, Voka fully thrusted his speeder bike directly towards the ship.

‘Wonder if they’ll start a private military company,’ Voka snickered at the thought.

Voka first heard of the Bounty Hunters Guild from a few crewmembers of the merchant freighter he hitched a ride from. Since fighting and apprehending criminals were his strong points, he figured that Bounty Hunting would be the perfect role to part take. He grew tired of the restrictions of standard law enforcement and figured that he could bring justice through his own flexibility. Still at the point of his youth, Voka also had an urge for venturing across the galaxy and what better way than to venture out while making creds capturing fugitives. Enticed by the job, Voka signed up for the Guild though his datapad.

As he approached the warship, he received a local comm. “We’ve been expecting you. Please direct your bike towards the hangar and we’ll take care of the rest,” a guard’s voice said through Voka’s earphone.

A tractor beam eventually took hold of the speeder bike and gave Voka some time to witness the lush scenery of Correllia. He had never seen so many hills in his life, the unfamiliar bumpy green terrain became an image engraved to his head. He looked back and thought of how diverse the culture was back in the city. Sure there were Rodians but even they seemed foreign compared to Rodians in his home planet. He appreciated the seeing different cultures but he felt discomfort for being a stranger to it all.

Inside the hanger, Voka safetly jumped off his bike and took of his goggles. He wiped the dust off his brow as he opened the storage compartment underneath the seat. Inside, Voka grabbed a long metal suitcase that could fit a telescope or pipe instrument. He walked towards a near bench to sit and regain composure after a long ride. A couple of crewmembers and security were there but Voka only received a few greetful nods from them.
‘A carefree yet cold crowd’ thought Voka.

Voka left his poncho hood over his head to hide notice from the crowd and took out his datapad to play some Pazaak and kill some time. It was a start of a new career for Voka’s new life as he waited on the bench for his trainer to show.

Metal struck metal as Ares walked through the maze of hallways and rooms that made up the interior of the BHG headquarters, the magnificant example of state of the art technology, the Jericho. He marked off the reminder on his datapad as he got to the hanger. He walked past his ship along with several others belonging to the other members of the guild, before stopping behind Voka. He gently tapped the rodian on the shoulder with his index finger, wating for him to turn around. He had a five finger suprise waiting for the new recruit for when he turned around.

Voka was further induced by the game of Pazaak as more time passed until he felt a cold hard tap on his back.

"Keepuna..," He muttered to himself as he hastefully paused his game.

Voka turned his face to the person who tapped for attention and...

Ares sent a punch full force into the face of the unsuspecting rodian, sending the alien flying out of his seat and onto the durasteel deck.

"Welcome to the BHG. My name is Ares and I will be your instructor today." Was all he said as he stood and waited for Voka to stand.

Voka's head was spinning and his vision was blurred as he tried to get up from the impact. He tasted blood in his mouth. He could hardly maintain his balance as he stood up. With his hood out, Voka's full face was shown with a nasty burned scar on his left cheek.

"Is that how you treat all your recruits?" the Rodian sarcastically asked. 'Carefree, cold, and rude,' he added in thought.

Despite the unexpected greeting, a smirk appeared on the young Rodian's face. The nostalgia brought him back on the days of his juvenile clan street brawls against Kenu Rodians and the harsh police academy trainings back on Equator City. Though he was used to such brutality, the fully cold amor of Ares sent shivers down his spine. He regained his composure and held out his hand.

"The name's Voka Reireek, its an honor to meet you sir!" said the Rodian.

Ares ignored the first statement, and folded his hands behind his back as he spoke. "Well at least you know protocol." He said lazily as he looked down at the rodian's outstretched hand, then back up to his face. "You will earn that later."

The armored clad man than then turned and started walking away, beconing for the recruit to follow. Ares metal boots began their rythmic metal clangs as he walked back towards the way he came. He walked in silence for several minutes until he came to a certain door. He quickly pnuched in the code and entered the room, sitting behind a medium sized desk. He would wait for the recruit to sit before speaking.

'Well aren't you all high and mighty' sarcastically thought Voka.

He kept his criticisms of Ares rudeness to himself and picked up his datapad. Voka sighed in relief as he tinkered with the datapad and found it in working order. He attached his datapad back to his belt, flipped his hood over his head, and continued on by grabbing his suitcase laid on the bench.

The Rodian followed the iron clad warrior through the hallways, but not without taking a few misteps due to imbalance. The strong punch from earlier still affected Voka's balance but he tried to ignore it. He knew that there was going to be worse to come during this day.

Ares sat on behind medium sized desk. There was an empty chair in front of the desk though Ares remained silent. Voka took the obvious gesture and sat down on the chair with his suitcase laid on his lap. He unflipped his hood curious if Ares were to do the same with his helmet, though Voka doubted the chances of that happening. All remained silent in the room.

"I'm going to be asking you a few quesitons so I can get a better understanding of your character. These files we get dont really tell anything about who the recruits really are. This is probably the dullest part of the training, so bare with me." Ares said as he booted up the computer built into the desk, a light blue holo-screen and keyboard appearing a few inches above the desks surface as he did so.

"Have you or would you kill any innocents?"

The moment Ares's words reached Voka's ears, his face grimaced. Voka knew the answer to that already, it was one of the reasons why he even signed up for the Bounty Hunters Guild.

Voka replied solemnly, "No, I have never and never will kill any innocent being. In fact, my life has been dedicated towards protecting the innocent from those who do kill in cold blood."

"Good to hear, it means I wont have to kill you later." Ares said as he typed a number of things inot the computer.

"If a fellow guild member called for assistance, would you help them? Even if you were already on a hunt?"

'Kill you later? Man this guy is full of himself..,' Voka thought critically.

Back to the question, the Rodian skeptically replied, "That depends, would that "fellow guild member" be willing to save my hide when I ask for it? If so, sure why not?"

"Well they would have to, whether they liked it or not. It is guild regulation to assist a commerade in need when asked. Not doing so can result in expulshion and or.....removal." Ares said as he began typing again, this time siteing that this individual would only be willing to help if he were to get the same treatment in return.

"If a fellow guild member was to kill without a bounty or do something particularily henious. Would you terminate them?"

"Again that depends. My first intention would to apprehend them with full restraint and send them to proper authorities or here. If they continue to show hostile resistance that threatens either my life or another's, I may have no other choice but to terminate them."

"Well thats good to hear, it seems you have a good moral compass. Something every respectible bonuty hunter should have." The typing continued for a couple minutes, then Ares shut off the computer and stood.

"Now we get to do my personal favorite, combat training." A door behind the desk opened up as Ares spoke, He gestured for Voka to enter.

Voka appeared silent and calm but his heart started beating out of excitement. It has been a while and he was eager for some action. He took up Ares's gesture with a nod, flipped his hood back on, and walked through the door.

Ares watched as the Rodian stepped through the bulkhead and into the next room. He then lazily reached towards a button underneath his desk and pressed it. A low hum could be heard shortly afterward and the door linking the two rooms slid shut with blinding speed, it quickly locked and repressurized. The lights in the room Voka was in also went out. The armored trainer sighed as he brought his computer back online, this time making several holo-screens appear above his desk, each showing the image of a different camera feed. Ares quickly typed in several commands into the keyboard, cuaseing several battle droids to shake to life. Dark red photo receptors peirced the the cold darkness as they activated and started moving towards the object making sound that was Voka.

The room was a rough t-shaped pattern, having two hallways diverging off near the opposite end of the hallway. The droids were spawning from the dark depths of the two off shoots of the main hall. They made almost no noise, sacrificing speed for silence.

The moment the doors behind Voka closed shut, he knew that the test had begun. He hardly memorized the room for merely a second stepping in the room before the lights went out. Voka dropped the suitcase to the floor, he had no time to open it up. The rodian's right hand cautiously laid on a pistol grip attached to a holster hidden underneath his poncho.

'What game is this guy trying to play?' Voka thought.

Due to his species's innate infrared-vision, Voka looked towards the room for any threats till two moving heat signatures peered simultaneously; one from the left and one from the right.

Voka quickly kneeled with his left leg on front, pulled out his slugthrower pistol from the holster, and aimed using his palm as support; as if it were instinct. He aligned his sites on the left target, held his breath, and fired one shot. The rodian then quickly aligned his sights towards the second target on the right and fired a second shot.

The first two droids were shot down by the rodians fire, but were replaced by two each. The droids immediatly opened fire, possessing infared abilites of their own.

One bullet missed while another bullet slightly grazed his left elbow. Voka's adrenaline helped him ignore the pain and focus on the situation at hand. He couldn't find any other walkway other than the two split paths the droids were emerging. There was no cover and Voka had to think fast.

At the moment, he had no other choice but to remain at his position and continue to return fire at the second couple of droids with the same exact posture and pattern as before.

Two more droids went down, sizzleing metal and circuitry were the only sounds other than gun fire that filled the room. A droid replaced each of the fallen. Due to limited A.I. The droids were unable to alter tactics, they would be easy pray for the rodian.

Ares stayed for a moment to listen to the gunfire. But was forced to leave if he wanted to be on the other side before the recruit. He hurried down several halls, stopping once to get a quick bite. He ate it on the way, helmet at his hip as he walked. When he got to the room that connected to the one Voka was in, he quickly replaced it on his head, he folded his ands behind his back and waited.
