For Sword forms is a self taught knife fighting allowed? something that would be learned to survive in the streets? It is nothing fancy, its purpose is to finish a fight quickly. Would involve a lot of dodging instead of blocking, and quick slashing and stabing attacks that are not deep, and are most destructive if they hit some place sensitive.

Probably. The mods seem to only be picky (understandably) about forms when it come to lightsabers. I honestly don't think anyone would care.

Ok thanks. I figured i'd ask so I didn't spend half of tomorrow writing a history that goes with it and how he got the scars from knife fights.

This, basically. As long as it isn't a lightsaber form, and has it's weaknesses and isn't teh uberest sw0rd form ev4r it'll be all good.

How would one go about creating a lightsaber form?

It is a knife that doesn't dig deep and really won't kill you quickly unless you get hit someplace vital.
IE your neck gets slashed open.
And is short ranged.
Ok, I am still playing with it.

We can't? No fanon? Really?

What if we made moves and diagrams and everything?

It takes a master of lightsaber combat to create a new lightsaber form(as in High Council Member focused in combat). There are probably about three or four characters on this site who'd be able to make a new form, and even then, it most likely would be poorer than an already established form.

In short, no making new lightsaber forms. The only exception is if the creator makes a proposal to one of the RP-admins, with a well thought out and detailed explanation, and the character who created it is of sufficient mastery.

There are only about one or two jedi or dark jedi capable of creating there own form, so don't bother.

Meh, if you wasted a bunch of time,(about a month) you could pretty easily come up with your own way of fighting with a lightsaber, it may not be as efficient as an established form, but it could suit the user much better.

If you want to create lightsaber forms, I'd suggest doing it on Star Wars Fanon.
