Let me point you to something someone I know said:

;)

yes but this isn't about the actual date of the occurrence its about the fact that before Mandalore the Taungs had no identity as Mandalorians per say. So yes, things don't follow strict dates which is why I believe we should have Mandalore the First have already led the Taung away from Courascant so that we can actually have the position of Mandalore and the Taung identity of Mandalorians.

Portable lightsbaers also haven't been invented, and various Mid Rim and Outer Rim worlds we use haven't be discovered. Technically the Hutts shouldn't be fighting the Republic right now. But we make exceptions if they serve the story.

We've been operating under the notion that "Mandalorian" could have been around before Mandalore the First, and there's no reason we can't keep doing that.

It is best to stretch canon in ways that make the game better and more interesting. Some allowances have to be made.

Yeah.

And I get that Mandalorians are like sacred to some Star Wars fans, but for every single faction we've either just made stuff up or completely bent canon in order to make for a better story. The Taung should not be an exception to this just because they deal with Mandalorians.

I don't see how not having Mandalore the First already exist makes them more interesting though.....It's not that I consider the canon of them sacred or anything.....it just confuses me and seems like it would be easier to say he already lived and such.

We can play it like the title Darth has been played. It's used, then abandoned, then picked up thousands of years later.

Either way, it's pretty minor in the scheme of things. So long as the Taung are unified and under Hutt rule, 'sall gooood. :bitchez

Has the application been put up yet, or am I not blind and haven't missed it...or is it just being PMed to the people who want to apply?

I already asked the same question before Niner. Brandon already explained his position on this earlier. I was going to suggest that some of the clans refused to follow the current Mandalore as this would explain, at least in game, how Mandalore the First is still the first as he was the first to unite all the clans under one banner. Theres really nothing we could do in game about using Mandalore (the planet) or Mandalorian Iron. The portable lightsabers were mentioned as breaking the set canon for the sake of fun so those two things would fall under that category.
