When Lyra asked the time Vilox looked down at his chrono. It was a good question. When he read that it was only a couple of hours before their transport was set to leave he decided that they would have go now. He looked back up to tell her but she then dismissed the question. He watched her eyes look towards the bedroom he had just vacated whilst listening to her groggily announce that she needed to 'freshen up'.

The sickly feeling that entered his stomach was a familiar sensation. He equated it to a physical response of the anxiety he felt at times like this. Blood was flushing to his red. A red hot sensation that made him feel nervous. He looked down for a moment, making out that he was reading the time again. Composing himself he said without looking at her: "I'm sorry. Can't let you use the bathroom. But there's a sink over there. Don't think there's any towels though so try not to get too wet." Smiling again he looked back up. "Doubt that will matter though. It's still raining. Either way we have to leave now. So let's go."

Standing up Vilox returned to the duffel bag he had dropped. Picking it back up by it's straps- coat hanging in between it's handles on top of the bag- he made his way to the front door and opened it. He turned and looked at Lyra expectantly.

Lyra stopped, turning to look at Vilox, her hand rested on the bathroom door. The wooden frame was damp and cracked and a horrid smell seeped out from beneath the door; given the state of the rest of the apartment, it didn't concern her. It smelled of rusted iron, but she was far too naive to recognize it as blood, assuming it to be the pipes. Regardless, she thought it was odd that he wouldn't let her use the bathroom and stared at him in silence for a moment. It wasn't her home and despite his uniqueness and brash attitude, he'd been much kinder to her than most and it seemed too much trouble to argue with him. She sighed, and stepped away from the door; what she wouldn't give for a hot shower, but that was no longer an option.

"I feel absolutely disgusting." Lyra grumbled, fixing her tangled hair with her hands the best that she could. Vilox waited for her at the front door, holding it open, his expression impatient. He was such an odd and disgruntled man, but something still drew her to him. There was a connection between the two of them that she had never felt before, one she hoped he'd be able to help her understand, one that frightened her even if she wouldn't admit it.

"You still haven't told me where we are going." Her eyes met his, giving him an equally impatient stare as she walked past him into the hallway. She hadn't noticed it before, but the air was much fresher out in the hallway than it had been in Vilox's apartment, though it still smelled of mold from the ruined carpets and yellowed flood lines on the walls.

"The truth is Lyra we are going somewhere that doesn't have a name yet. At least they didn't tell me it's name. If it has one?" Vilox frowned at himself as he turned and closed the door after joining Lyra outside in the hallway. It did smell better at here he admitted to himself as he made sure the door was locked. "That probably sounds confusing. It's still confusing for me too. But that is how things go with them. The people who are going to help us figure out this connection we seem to have felt with each other."

Picking up the duffel bag Pazela made his way down the hallway. He expected Lyra to follow, and spoke as they made their way back to the fire escape. "I think the ship we are boarding will have somewhere that we can both freshen up, as you put it. I would kill for a shower. Don't know about you?"

It was probably odd as well that, rather than taking the main entrance out of the building they were now leaving it via the fire exit. Just as they had done when they had entered it a few hours ago. He quietly hoped that Lyra wouldn't ask too many questions, or at the very least she would have the tact to wait until they were off-world. As far as she was concerned they were still ducking and diving the people that she had scammed the night previously at the Sabaac tables. He had also instilled- hopefully- that there was some urgency to their movements.

If they missed their transport off Terminus then they would be here for a very long time.
