A Mandalorian, dressed from top to toe in the easily recognizeable Mandalorian beskar'gam, he was bound to draw attention anywhere he went - except for in Nar Shaddaa. The Vertical City was the one place where anyone, even a Mandalorian, could disappear. The smugglers exchanged a quick look with his anonymous, impenetrable T-shaped visor, but quickly looked the other way. The Mandalorian started a calm walk towards the alleys that led into the city, a walk that far from told of the chaotic feelings that were swirling around in his mind and body like a maelstrom of pain.
The Mandalorian, Tesla Cadera, came to Nar Shaddaa at age 18. It was there that he discovered that not only was Nar Shadaa a place where a Mandalorian had to work very hard not to find a job. It was also a place where nobody asked for your life story, unless you were drunk and they were looking to blackmail you. He started his new life by doing some minor mercenary work, but it wasn't long before he found out the truth; that the real money was in working for the organized crime syndicates. Leave your conscience by the door.
He immersed himself in work, both as a soldier and as a bounty hunter, and through work he allowed himself to forget the dark past he was running from. When he fought and bled for the credits of the crime cartels and warlords, he did not have to think about his past, or acknowledge the devastating pain and guilt that was tearing him apart on the inside. He could be a mindless weapon with no thoughts of his own.
PERSONALITY
Tesla is on the surface the same as most Mandalorians; a stoic avatar of Mandalore, a man of few words, and - as far as mercenaries go - a man with flexible morals. He is a professional with a calm, composed demeanor, and his primary motivator seems to be credits, which is why he works for the highest bidders. He has made it an art form to oppress emotions such as anger, sadness and fear.
However, under the surface, he is a maelstrom of emotion. He is haunted by his past, a man without a place in the world, shunning human interaction in favor of the solitude of his spaceship. He is in great pain, and suffers from guilt for his own actions. Credits are not his true motivator; on the contrary, it is the work itself that motivates him, because the work lets him keep his mind far away from his memories, and combat forces his thoughts away, thoughts that threaten to crush him at any moment of the slightest inaction.
It is the fear of these memories and thoughts that has allowed morals to get lost in the endless search for combative distractions. This in turn has allowed Tesla to work for the crime syndicates without any qualms.
EQUIPMENT
● Armor
Tesla's armor, or beskar'gam, consists of grey armorweave completed by medium armor plating. The plates are olive green in color. It also comes with a buy'ce, or helmet, with the traditional black T-shaped visor. The armor is, if there is such a thing, a run-of-the-mill breskar'gam.
● CQC vibro karambit
Tesla carries a curved, jagged dagger known as a karambit, for close quarters combat. As a vibroweapon it is capable of resisting a lightsaber.
● A310 blaster rifle
Tesla carries an A310 rifle as his main battle rifle
