The Division

The Omega Division of Electronic Networking, Defense and Cyberwarfare, more commonly known as the Division, are the private-owned electronic hacking and countermeasure corporation operating out of the DSC Daedalus. Although the least seen of the Daedalus' four primary policing forces, the Division handles the most sensitive information and systems of the DSC. A mass-collection of cyber-suites, electronic module hubs and data networking centers, the Division handles all electronic matters pertaining to the Daedalus, from maintenance and telecommunications to hacking and even cyberwarfare.

Following CoreGuard itself, the Division is the oldest of the security corporations, and members handle tasks from directing skyway lanes to prevent traffic congestion and collisions to examining routine security feeds. In the event of external threats of hostile intention, it is the Division that command the Daedalus' security systems, including the Aegis Protocol (although it requires the Galactic Traders Coalition's administrative council to authorize it). Due to the sensitivity of their work, areas utilized by the Division are typically off-limits to personnel of CoreGuard, with some systems restricted even from the Commissioners.

The ranks and positions of the Division's personnel depends solely on their department; Department Administration (DA), Electronic Protection and Attack (EPA), Signal and Communications Intelligence (SIGCOM), and Electronics Operational Intelligence (E-OPS).

Departments

The Department Administration (or the DA) is the senior department made up of the collection of department heads and senior staff from the three main branches. As a unit, the DA thus coordinate and consolidate the sum efforts of the other departments to maximize results and efficiency. Unlike the other branches, the Department Administration is finite, and always has ten members at any given time. Amongst the following three security branches, no formal ranks exist, although skilled operators may be given special duties to make better, if not fuller, use of their talents.

The Department of Electronic Protection and Attack is the initial branch of the Division, and preserve the internal systems, whether critical systems, vital systems or security systems, of the DSC Daedalus from external hacking or invasive attempts. Security grids are maintained by the EPA, as are security feeds, and they are the department that work most closely with CoreGuard. The Signal and Communications Intelligence Department is the foremost branch in terms telecommunications, and handle the transferring of sensitive or classified information across the five DSC districts, including political data from the Presidium Embassies, security data from other CoreGuard command centers, or even corporate information from the countless businesses. The Department of Electronics Operational Intelligence is perhaps the most classified of the four branches of the Division, save for the Department Administration itself. Covert tactics of cyberwarfare are E-OPS area of expertise, and it is done so with extreme prejudice; no conduits or data streams of virtual information are to be transferred anywhere within the Daedalus' territory without E-OPS at least knowing about the transition.

SECRETARY OF ELECTRONIC DEFENSE
SEL-DEF
The Secretary of Electronic Defense is the chief administrative officer of the EPA and oversees the department. The protection of the DSC Daedalus' systems, security or otherwise, is the SEL-DEF's prime responsibility.
ADJUTANT OF ELECTRONIC DEFENSEThe Adjutants of Electronic Defense are the senior assistants of the Secretary of Electronic Defense. The Adjutants operate more closely with the EPA, acting as captains or lieutenants over their branches for their department heads. Only two Adjutants of the EPA exist at a given time.
DIRECTOR OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS
DTC
The Director of Telecommunications is the chief administrative officer of SIGCOM and oversees the department. The encryption, interception and data analysis of coded signals and communication transmissions is the DTC's prime responsibility.
ADJUTANT OF TELECOMMUNICATIONSThe Adjutants of Telecommunications are the senior assistants of the Director of Telecommunications. The Adjutants operate more closely with SIGCOM, acting as captains or lieutenants over their branches for their department heads. Only two Adjutants of SIGCOM exist at a given time.
ADMINISTRATOR OF INTELLIGENCE
AD-INT
The Administrator of Intelligence is the chief administrative officer of E-OPS and oversees the department. Hacking information, deciphering coded virtual data streams and traffic analysis of all cyber-information within or passing through the sovereign territories of the DSC Daedalus is the AD-INT's prime responsibility.
ADJUTANT OF INTELLIGENCEThe Adjutants of Intelligence are the senior assistants of the Administrator of Intelligence. The Adjutants operate more closely with E-OPS, acting as captains or liertenants over their branches for their department heads. Only three Adjutants of E-OPS exist at a given time.
