Mathazar sat in the meditation chamber assigned to him with legs crossed and eyes closed. He had sat like this for three days. No food and barely any water given to him at steady intervals. Mathazar had grown weary of waiting. He could do without food for days but the fact that he had went through enough trouble to get to the Temple only to be led to a meditation chamber and being told to wait made his blood begin to simmer. A small smile crept to his lips as he thought about the depths to which his anger could go. He had been building it up, storing his rage for the day that he would be called upon to unleash his fury upon any and all that deserved his wrath. his meditation was broken as suddenly the ornate and quite heavy stone door was pulled open and a rush of fresh air filled the small chamber. Mathazar opened his eyes and stood to meet whom or whatever stood in the doorway. For a moment it seemed as if the man were some amalgamation of shadows in the low light...

You will follow...

Mathazar nodded his head and shifted his weight upon both legs in order to regain the feeling in them. The shadowed man turned and without a word continued to lead him down a great many hallways and through different rooms each with acolytes like himself in various stages of training. They came upon a room as black as the deepest obsidian, the floors and walls polished to a sheen. The air was chilly and reeked of madness and anger, this made Mathazar smile. It brought him back to the day he made his first kill, the adrenaline and of course the smell. Again he was broke from thought when his escort shot his arm out to bar Mathazar from going any further. He grumbled as he saw another of the mysterious Dark Jedi. The escort bowed in a deep flourish to the new figure before turning sharply and leaving the way he came. Mathazar measured the man with eyes ablaze with anger, hate and so much darkness. So this was supposed to be his new Master? He felt that he could smash the man in two with ease. "Pathetic." Mathazar thought to himself. He merely stood there and crossed his arms while a smug smile crept upon his face.

Well... "Master" where do we begin?

A cold wind blew up the halls of the Bogan temple on Ando Prime, sending a chill down the spine of those unacustomed to the freezing tempatures of the planet. A steady, stacatto rhythm of a man's boots striking the hard floor of the compound accompanied the wind. A muted beep was audible as he looked down towards the com piece on his wrist informing him of a new acolyte in need of training. The human Master Assassin spun on his heel and began to quickly walk back towards a training room as well as sending a Crusader off to find the new apprentice that would be his.

The new Acolyte entered the room with an air of confidence, cocky almost. Nathaniels eyes flicked open from the moderate meditation state he sat in and burned a hole into the new one. The acolyte would have immediatly felt a grave sense of error and if he was intelligent, reconsider his thoughts. A smug smile sat on the face of the fool before him he stood with crossed arms before him and the overbearing sense of cockyness in his voice annoyed Nathaniel. This one would face a test immediatly to see if this was cockiness was warrented.

Nathaniel gathered the Force and pooled it into his right hand, preparing his first assault. The Dark Master remained noiseless as he let loose a Force Push powerful enough to send even an experienced Knight flying through the air. If the acolyte before him would doubt his power, then he would face it.

Mathazar stood there almost perplexed at the Dark Jedi before him that was supposedly his master, trainer and ultimately liaison to the dark side. The acolyte watched the man with interest as he stood and lifted his hand. Suddenly it felt to him as someone was stabbing his brain with the same cold daggers as when he met the dying Dark Jedi. He also felt it the day some spacer thug tried to stab him in a lower slum Cantina, the thing is he felt it seconds before the man stabbed him. Yet this time the shooting pain came too late, the only sound made would be the impact of the force wave against his padded robes and with accuracy as it hit him square in his lower torso.

Nnngh!

Mathazar grunted as he felt his feet loose contact with the ground. Everything began to spin as he flew a good three feet back and landed on the ground in a roll. As soon as he settled and regained his senses he spat upon the ground to his left, crimson streaked spittle landed near him. Mathazar stood up and grunted as he felt the familiar grinding of a broken rib. He welcomed the pain. He let it flow through him like a drug that truly made him feel alive.

Truly that is only a taste of the power I seek! MASTER SHOW ME!

Mathazar felt his rage begin to grow as he stood there ready to feel the true depths of anger that his newfound Master. His chest rose up and down as he heaved for breath, ready to receive another blow if it was Nathaniels wish. If this was what it took to learn the secrets to the dark side then so be it. He'd gladly let them break him only to use his newfound power to build him into a stronger, more powerful individual.

Nathaniel kept a blank face as the acolyte launched through the air and rolled along the ground as his push made contact. Evidently the aforementioned cockiness was, in fact, not warranted if he could not even slightly protect himself from such a simple technique. The acolyte spit upon the floor, the crimson liquid landing with a squish upon the hardened floor of the temple. Nathaniel shook his head as the acolyte begged to be taught, to be given the power he displayed.

"In time Acolyte you will earn power. Emotions, like any weapon we use, have a time and a place. Control yourself for now." Nathaniel said, his velvet-smooth upper class voice dominating the room. "Come, we must talk before we can truely begin training, I need to know more about you." He said, gesturing to a nearby table with a chair on both sides. Nathaniel stepped forward and sat in one of the chairs with a fluid grace born of a Coruscanti nobleman.

"Tell me about yourself. Your past, how you came here and why you are here."

Mathazar grit his teeth as he felt the broken rib continue to grind, breathing slowly as he began to work his will around the pain control it and use it when he wanted to feel it. Pain was a powerful anesthetic when used properly, this much the acolyte knew. Nathaniel's words coaxed another small smile from his lips as he spoke.

Control is not one of my strong points... Master. But if it is your will I will contain my anger.

Mathazar watched Nathaniel seat himself and followed suit, pulling out a chair and seating himself. He stifled a grunt and grinned as the Master asked him to recount his past up until he had gotten to the Bogan Temple on Ando Prime. He paused a moment while he thought of a good place to start, folding his hands and finally speaking in a deep level tone.

Well... I grew up on Nar Shadaa. The Smugglers Moon... More specifically an ancient refueling spire near New Vertica. I grew up around the cantinas. My father was a drunk. My mother a whore... Typical childhood for anyone so unfortunate as to grow up on that bloated pile of hutt dung. I got to watch some weequay thug spacer throw my father over a railing. Barged in on my mother being brutally murdered by another weequay. All before the age of twenty. Killed the thug and kept on killing ever since. Not to say that I am some stone cold murderer but after I killed that spacer that took my mothers life it came easy to me...

Mathazar smiled as if a child recounted a favorite memory, staring off into space as he continued to speak.

One day I was running from a local group of thugs. They were trying to collect some credits from a deal gone bad where I was blamed for the loss. I slipped into an importers warehouse that I sometimes used as a safe spot to lay low for a while. I came upon a Dark Jedi slumped up against a container, dead thrice over if a normal man were to take such injuries. He grabbed my hand and seemed to speak to me inside of my head and I was able to speak to him back. He told me how to get here and bid me take his possesions and burn his body... I took a freighter here, hijacked it halfway forcing the pilot to bring me to Ando Prime. There I killed the pilot, rigged the engines to blow and ejected to the surface via escape pod. After a few days hike I found the temple. They made me wait in a cell for a few days until I was escorted here... That is how I came to be here Master.

Nathaniel nodded as his student told his tale, one he had heard so many times before. It seemed as though one could not come from the upper class and be a Dark Jedi, aside himself obviously. It was clear that emotion would be no such problem for the student sitting in front of him. However, teaching the code early and often would be key.

"Judging by your past, one would assume you grew up as just another street thug, but you're destined for more, if not you'll die here. You've only been here a few days, do you know our code here at the temple? You will live by it for the rest of your life. If you do not, go find the library and commit it to memory."

Mathazar sat stock still and listened to the wisdom his master imparted with a clear mind. Once the question of the Bogans code came up he reached into his robes and shuffled around for a few moments. Once he felt the pyramid shaped artifact near his breast in a fold of cloth he would pull his hand out and sit the object onto the table before them. It was an instructional holocron peeled from the corpse of the Dark Jedi that had directed him to this place, the previous owners blood still lay in dried rivulets about the ornate ingrave. He once again folded his hands in his lap and spoke.

I found this on the body of the Bogan who directed me here. I do not know how to tap into the more darker secrets I know it contains but I was able to learn the code and its meaning as well as a few other things. When I was meditating I contemplated the words of the holocron over and over in my head...

No peace, only suffering.

By accepting that there is only suffering and most importantly pain in life I have opened myself up to the infinite possibilities of the dark side. I must allow the suffering to strengthen me and mold me into the Dark Jedi I was destined to become.

No knowledge, only instinct.

By using my instincts I may find more success against my enemies. To fail to act is death. Death is failure...

No serenity, only passion.

My emotions must be released and used as fuel for my power. I will let my passion envelop me and through me will the universe know of the extent of my anger and pain...

No harmony, only chaos.

Chaos brings darkness... Darkness is what I strive to bring to the universe. Isn't that the aim of the Dark Jedi? Chaos is a tool that can be used to bring us closer to victory.

No life, only death.

Death is a part of everything... I think that this means that we should make the most of the life we are given. Spreading chaos and planting the seeds for future generations of Dark Jedi to join our ranks. Destroying our enemies and dominating the galaxy... To sit and contemplate the meaning of things is futile and will make you weak.

Master even though I am just another street thug I can and will learn the ways of the Bogan. It is my destiny... I feel it inside of me.

"That feeling will be nothing more then a minor stomach ache if you don't learn quickly. So far, so good though." Nathaniel said bluntly. "You must understand that Chaos is the goal, while darkness merely facilitates this, not the other way around. As Bogan, we are capable of riding the waves of this anarchy, seeking to control it is foolish."

His hand reached down and briefly palmed the lightsaber on his waist as he took a small breath in before speaking again. "You're famaliar with meditation correct? It is an important step to refining your skill in the Force."
