the passing of knowledge (Training Galykia)

[Will]

Jedi Master Huang Karasu stood in the training hall.

He was finally passing on Tràkata, the form wich took advantage of the fact a lightsabre can be turned off. He had finished the bulk of his work two decades ago. It had taken this long to refine it into a reliable doctrine.

His first student in the way was his former padawan, Galykia, whom he had trained twenty years ago. He had seen him rise to a powerful knight in this time. He was ready.

He had removed his heavy robes, Wearing a simple black vest and white, baggy trousers, tucked into hi-top tabi. He held his lightsabre ready.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia entered the training hall where he wold be trained in a new form of fighting. His trainer was a man named Huang Karasu. Huang and Galykia have not seen one another for twenty years, when he trained Galykia to be a knight.

Now the Jedi knight would learn a form known as Tràkata. The form was used on Galykia in his training, for a breif period of time. It was a powerful and interesting form of combat. He was eager to learn how to use it at his own advantage.

"Hello once again master. It is nice to be taught by you once again." He said with a respectful bow.

 

[Will]

''And i am glad to pass my knowledge to another.'' Huang replied, bowing in return.

''Now, attack me.''

As Galykia ignited his blade, Huang held out his hand.

''Stop. What did you just do?''

 

[Galykia]

Ummm.... I prepared my lightsaber for battle. He said. It was obvious he was unsure what the answer was, he didn't know exactly what was wrong.

 

[Will]

''Yes. You turned it on.''

Huang stressed the last part. It was key to Tràkata.

''The lightsabre is unique. It can be turned on and off. This is the core concept of Tràkata. It relies on your force mastery and hand-to-hand combat. The greater your mastery of the form, the less you ignite the lightsabre.''

Huang indicated for Galykia to turn off the lightsabre. ''You know this, but there is a distinct variation in what i taught you when you were my padawan. As the spheres get smaller, they become easier to break. Do not break them.'' He threw the first, an average sphere, easy to grip, difficult to break.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia watched the sphere fly in the air, keeping his eyes on it. As it approached him he put out his hands, anticipating the trajectory of the item. As it was in reach, he gently caught it with both hands.

 

[Will]

''Use the force to make it orbit you.'' Huang said.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia gave a nod and made it orbit his body. It was simple, he could do it 20 years ago when he first trained under Huang. He was unsure why the disk needed to orbit him. He told himself all would be explained in due time.

 

[Will]

''Good.'' Huang plucked the orb from orbit, replacing it with a smaller, more delicate orb.

''Now, do the same with this one.''

 

[Galykia]

Yes master. Galykia said as he used telekinesis to take control of the new orb. He did the same thing as before, letting the object float around his body like a moon.

 

[Will]

Huang took out a far more delicate orb. ''Do the same with this one.''

If he used the generic amount of pressure to grip this orb, it would smash.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia once again made the orb move around his body. He did the same as he had done with the orbs that preceeded this one. He noticed a crack to form in the orb, he loosened the forces grip. It stayed in one peice but had a fairly visible fracture.

 

[Will]

''Good.'' He took out five orbs of varying strength. ''Take them all. Each needs a different grip strength. You need to learn fine force control. You need to activate gun safties with a thought, turn off opponent's lightsabres, move yourself a fraction of a centimetre in midair.''

 

[Galykia]

Galykia took each orb, one by one. He found out the individual grips of them, then he let them orbit his body. By the fourth and fifth orb, things became problemsome. It was quite difficult to keep a different grip on all of them. He managed to get all 5 orbs to surround and move around him. The longer he did it, the easier and more comfortable the task at hand was.

 

[Will]

''Good. Identify the lightest.''

When Galykia held the lightest, incredibly delicate orb, Huang took them all.

''Pluck it from the air.''

He threw the spheres in the air. He would have to find and grab the smallest without smashing it. A cool head was key to this exercise.

 

[Galykia]

Galykia got in a deep state of focus. He had the force surround each orb, identifiying the smallest. It was difficult, but doable. He used the force to bring it close to his body. He then let it orbit his body once again.
