No, generic tech is for original tech that does not significantly differ in capabilities from other tech of the same type. Like a pistol or rifle that's functionally similar to an E-11 or Something. This isn't generic.

I know, but since the base model has been deemed a corvette because of its weapons, it means that this is a corvette even if you pull the turbolasers. It has a missile corvette amounts of ordnance on a nearly corvette size ship. Not to mention all of your modifications, this probably should be resubmitted since you have made rather important modifications to the base design. Whatever tho, you do you.

Prudii, listen m8. These guys are just trying to help you out, because if you role into an RP with this bad boy then people might look at you like o_O. Then there's potential for the RP to stop to address all of this crap that they're trying to help you straighten out right now.

The bottom line for me in these situations is that if a lot of people are telling me I need to fix something, then I should probably just fix it. What's the big deal anyway?

Given the stats of the ship and the fact that it's an old MandalMotors design (we've had problem with some of them in the past), I'll be moving this to Unapproved Tech. It'll have to be approved by Clayton before it can be used. Thanks.

And I'm not super keen on letting individual PCs own turbolaser equipped ships.

Something id also like to point out from an IC perspective. Nor'baal was asked to set up a deal for one of these ships. A deal has yet to go through for it. So if this was accepted, I think the threads for acquiring it would still need to happen. But that I'm less sure on.
