The Smuggler's Association

Jobs and Events

Any member of the Smuggler's Association or multiple members, maybe claim it. First come, first serve for claiming jobs. For jobs, threads can be open or closed depending on what the thread started wants. Events will almost always be open. In general jobs are freeform. You're given a few details, but otherwise free to write it out yourself. If it's just two or three posts however, payment might be withheld, which granted doesn't mean much as money is pretty much pointless in freeform. But it basically means that you failed, and we can't use the results of the job for anything.

Payment: 10,000 credits and friendship each
What Needs to be Smuggled: Enough spice for a weekend party with twenty people, or a small town dealer.
Pickup: Kessel
Destination: Vandyne
Risks: The buyer wants you to deliver the stuff to his house, like we're some kind of mail order service. His name is Harold Johnson, he's a human fellow, and a government official. Did we mention that there are various government functionaries at his house? Good luck getting it in without getting caught.
Notes: You might get invited to a party! Wouldn't recommend going though because you might get arrested at said party. Just get the payment and run.
Participants: Mathis Aeron Elohim
Payment: 10,000 credits each
What Needs to be Smuggled: A fairly simple protocol droid
Pickup: Axxila
Destination: Terminus
Risks: Not a lot of information on this one, just someone wants a protocol droid dropped off on a street corner on Terminus. Which means that this is either some weird wish fulfillment thing, or a dead drop, or a trap. Any which way, it's likely to end in violence if you're not careful.
Notes: The droid just keeps saying "They're everywhere and they're out to get me" so bet on the trap option.
Participants: Nova
Payment: 10,000 credits each
What Needs to be Smuggled: An Ithorian man, a human women, and two Duros men.
Pickup: Axxila
Destination: Saijo
Risks: The hard part for this one isn't the delivery, but the pickup. The group wanting transport in question may have done a little slicing of a government system, and they want to be taken to a planet on the other end of the galaxy where they can lay low for a while before they sell the information. They need to be picked up from the slums, but the authorities are casting a wide net over the area, so try to get them out without getting into too much trouble yourself or making a lot of noise.
Notes: The Ithorian goes by the name Alfonso, and is a barber by day if you want a haircut.
Participants: Dyson Chaznot
Payment: 10,000 if conditions met. 5,000 if they are not.
What Needs to be Smuggled: Some simple crates of spice and other narcotics you probably don't wanna know about.
Pickup: Sevarcos II
Destination: Eriadu
Risks: Not really a risk, but an opportunity. The buyers, a pair of notorious Rodian drug dealers, also hired another smuggler to deliver a similar shipment at around the same time. We need to make sure they see the benefits of working with the SA as possessed to some independent, half-assed smuggler so make sure you get there and deliver your shipment before they do. You only get payed half if you are beaten to the destination.
Notes: Try not to completely disintegrate the other guy's ship and make us look like barbarians. Feel free to shoot down an engine or two, though. (NPCer recommended for this one).
Participants:
Payment: 15,000
What Needs to be Smuggled: Weapons, included some very heavy ordnance.
Pickup: Akiva
Destination: Agamar
Risks: The weapons must be delivered to Nancy, a giant Herglic who wants them for her mercenary company. The weapons, however, were stolen from a PMC in Akiva. While you really didn't have anything to do with it and are only delivering, the PMC may send someone to look for their weapons. I know I wouldn't fancy my chances against trained soldiers, so unless you are feeling like space Rambo try to get them to their destination before their owners get to you. Afterwards, they're Nancy's problem. Also, try to keep the weapon crates from harm unless you want the galaxy to think a nearby star is going supernova.
Notes: In perhaps the galaxy's greatest coincidence, the PMC is called "Smuggler's Bane". Sound like a friendly bunch, don't they?
Participants:
Payment: 10,000
What Needs to be Smuggled: Several vials of Glitterstim
Pickup: Kessel
Destination: Indoumodo
Risks: Travelling to Wild Space is a danger in it's own right, but most of all be on the lookout for the buyers; they are a weird, batshit crazy cult that worships the poisonous slugs and insects of Indoumodo and apparently they need the Glitterstim to communicate with them in some abnormal, telepathic way. Just leave their damn drugs in the coordinates they gave us and get the hell out (They paid in advance. Like you, I also wonder where they get money from). Also of note, spend as little time on the surface as possible, for the fauna and flora are highly poisonous and like to go for the crotch.
Notes: If for some reason you are approached by the cultists, give them some sort of roasted meat. They love it (particularily nexu meat) and will likely leave you alone for it. Don't ask how I know this.
Participants:
Payment: 10,000
What Needs to be Smuggled: 3 Iriaz and 3 Kath Hounds
Pickup: Dantooine
Destination: Naboo
Risks: The beasts are for a traveling circus that is currently visiting Naboo. Pick them up at Dantooine from some trappers whom the circus hired and put their cages on your ship. The trappers are known to have a high number of escaped beasts annually, so as a good smuggler, expect the worst. The beasts must be taken to the main tent in the circus they have mounted near Theed and delivered to the beastmaster. Afterwards, collect the payment from the ringmaster. He is the funny little Jawa. Also, remember that the Kath Hounds bite, so hands off!
Notes: The Kath Hounds are called Kevin, Patricio (Pat, for short) and Isac, while the Iriaz are called Frank, David and Ilan. And if you don't get this reference, you should probably let the Kath Hounds eat you.
Participants:
Payment: 15,000
What Needs to be Smuggled: Baron Chudnofsky Polononanonoida (don't bother trying to pronounce) and Baroness Chi Derkshy Polononanonoida
Pickup: Pantora
Destination: Anywhere
Risks: The baron and his baroness are fleeing their homeworld of Pantora because their main political rivals have finally decided to get rid of them and have already sent several assasins after them. They need someone to get them to safety and don't care much for where they are taken as long as it's safe, far away from Pantora and comfortable enough to live in. You will have to extract them from a rundown hotel in the poorer district of Pantora where they are hiding, but even now the other barons have assasins looking for them, so do be on the lookout. Otherwise, most of the risk involved is for your ears and mental sanity for the baron and baroness are known across Pantora for fighting and arguing and shouting and hitting each other on a daily basis, so don't be surprised if you have to play psychologist and mediator to keep them from destroying your ship.
Notes: If worse comes to worst (i.e: They end up murdering each other) do remember that the baron is the one paying our bill.
Participants:

EVENT 1: Breaking Bulk

EVENT 2: What We're Owed

Job Submission

Have something you need smuggled? Fill out the following information, and post it in here!

Character Name & Link: Should be obvious, give us the name and a link. Feel free to use an alias if the job is further under the table.
Payment: How much you're paying for something to be moved.
What Needs to be Smuggled: The goods to be moved.
Pickup: Where the goods need to be picked up.
Destination: And where they need to be dropped off.
Risks: Will the person who does this job be in danger? Law enforcement going to be an issue? Pirates? If the character would know be sure to put it down.
Notes: Anything else we should know?

And after that the job will either be approved, or denied. If it's approved any member of the Smuggler's Association or multiple members, maybe claim it. First come, first serve for claiming jobs.

The Blacklist

All characters, and organizations that have been blacklisted by the Association. Those that are blacklisted will be denied service, and will probably be seen more as enemies, although the Association won't go out of its way to do them harm, unless they did some substantial damage.
