Darius awoke to the laughter and noise of the younger Jedi hopefuls outside his room, He did not bother turning on the lights in his room, the light from his tattoo and his light reflective eye was more than enough. Today would be more of a relaxed day for Darius, as today was the time allotted by his teachers for meditation, unlike some of his counterparts Darius enjoyed abouve all else meditating in complete silence, strengthening his already powerful mind, a welcome alternative to the harsh light saber drills in the inner sanctum. Darius pulled on his pants and tied up his boots, leaving his robes and shirt behind as he would not need them for today.

Darius exited his room gingerly moving through the crowds of younglings, rubbing the heads of the ones he had come to know and love. Instead of continuing the walk down the main hallway Darius made hard left to the entrance of the waterfall chamber. The sun lightly peeked behind the clouds but it was not enough to irritate his eye shine, he looked for his normal route to the mouth of the water fall, which was a considerable height abouve him. with a grunt Darius was off, running up the wall jumping to a large boulder, and then to the next, until he was at his destination.

Darius slowly waded into the water until he was under the roar of the river, he then pulled himself up onto a smooth boulder that was directly under the falls. Darius freed his hair, crossed his legs, and began to take deep breaths. In moments the roar of the river abouve fell away, and Darius was right where he wanted to be. First he used his mind to will the River away from him, creating a bubble between him and the falls, he then lifted himself off the rock, leaving himself on the midpoint of the falls. It was not time to begin his prescribed exercises, quickly rolling back his shoulders he began to use the force to lift two large boulders off the ground, he then attached them with water from the fall creating a water funnel in between them, the then began to push his power by increasing the objects speed until the sound the boulders whizzing through the air echo of the walls the the grotto. Darius was not at peace, he had now completely drowned out bedlam of the world, and noise of the minds that resides in it, and now he could practice is true skill.

Darius had been at it for hours, strengthening his ability to multitask would help him refine his skill of fighting with his body and with the force at the same time,a feat that often made him to much to handle for the students his age. before long Darius heard the open and shut of the door, he didn't not stop is practice, anyone was welcome the use the space with him, he just hoped they would not be to noisy.

Taoré Timarick, not one for formal introductions, studied the Padawan: Give or take the same build in size, but distinctly younger, however he felt his presence in the Force, and understood why he had potential where some were lagging.

"You know if you had intentions to tear the world down, I'm sure moving heavy objects at high speeds inching closer and closer together would be a good way to start." He said with a sly chuckle. Given the acoustics of the chamber, he had figured his voice alone would not reach, so he projected his vocals through the Force, being heard on a more mental plane, than a physical one. Now technically, he had not mastered this technique, but subliminally, what he said would be understood.

Because of the rotating velocity, Taoré had to intervene to avoid getting hit; stretching out to the Force, he stopped the boulders in their tracks, which shattered instantly after locking into place. He may have mastered controlling his grip on small objects, but he still lacked the finer points of heavy objects. Now that the rocks were smaller, he had greater control, moving them gently aside and setting them down.

"Pretty advanced meditation for just a Padawan." he said, eyeing and observing the work created. "Independent study, or you just ducking out of lightsaber training?" he asked wryly, his voice echoing off the chambers, as he, as usual, had broken the silence. He flicked his long black hair out of his eyes, before tying it in a simple knot at the back.

Darius felt the boy presence, without opening his eyes he could tell that he he was a Padawan, Gifted but reckless, lacking the years of experience of a Jedi Knight.

Darius paid no mind to the boy sly comments, he had no time for them, he concentrated on his practice, it was what his master would have wanted, he drowned the boy out, clearing his mind once again, increasing the velocity of the boulders.

Darius' mind was painfully jerked as the interference of the Padawan brought the boulder to sudden halt, shattering them, send the water in between them raining down. Darius opened his eyes, he lightly lifted him self down landing on the rock below him. With a quick annoyed pace Darius walked out of the waterfall, climbing down the same way he had came in, Darius ran the wall pushing himself off into a flip landing a few feet away from the Padawan. Darius was still slight annoyed that he was so violently interrupted, but this boy still outranked him, and he would give him his due respect, With a bow he greeted him, "I am a Padawan but mind is my sanctuary, A powerful storm that must be silenced, these exercises are a necessity to keep from losing control."

Darius began to tighten his forearm guards, as he prepared to go back up and continue his training, He laughed as the boy suggested that he might be ducking out of his lessons, "I have never ran away from wisdom, i do all the council expects from me and more. And there is not much more i can learn in the Padawan classes, I need the critical eye, and attention of a Jedi master to learn any further." Closing his eyes Darius took a deep breath, and simultaneously lifted another pair of boulders, releasing them with a crash as he exhaled, "I'm am not one for conversation, It distracts from the whispers of the force, so I respectfully ask why you stopped me, as I need to finish my meditation, Does the council request my presence?"

"I am sorry, my need to train does not excuse a lack of manners, I am Darius Amiri of Danteel, who might you be?" Darius pulled his wet hair out of his eyes, hoping to finish

((OOC: If your character is supposed to be 15, that makes me OLDER THAN YOU! My character is 20!))

"Taoré Timarick. I don't have a planet I call home exactly." He replied, but continued to speak anyways.

"Also, I find conversation to be very helpful. The Force is all that is living, and communication is part of that existence in living ranging from anything bipedal to a quadriped." He added. He found that communication was essential to a Jedi's being, and the quiet medatative types, took things a little too seriously sometimes. They were as much human as the next person, responsibilities or not.

He frowned slightly at the comment towards "padawan" classes.

"And you should also know then to be mindful, because one can never learn too much. For all you know, you ducking out of training could just put you out of practice if anything, and then end up being on the receiving end of a Dark Jedi's lightsaber." He said, the memories of his first encounter rankling him slightly.

"But to answer your question, it was the council's request that the Padawans receive a more social excercise. We only see each other in sparring sessions, and since we're the supposed next generation of Jedi, that we get to know one another." He added, but almost began to regret it: This guy didn't appear the sociable kind.

"I Agree with you, I would never run away from knowledge, it's just that in my young age, my connection with the force, particularly in regards to by sensitivity to the voices the surrounding populaces minds, is backwards: instead of not hearing anything at all i hear to much, everyday it's like I'm trapped in the deep parts of Coruscant, These exercises help me gain a better control over my mind, which will allow me to better absorb the wisdom of my more formal lessons." Darius looked down at the rubble made by the clashing of their will, he flattened a pile of rubble with his boot, and was rather displeased as some of it stuck to him, as he was still wet.

"I agree, if we are to be working to together for the remainder of our lives, a healthy knowledge, and dare I say 'friendship' would be essential to the survival of the order." Darius himself would not have thought up this exercise, but the wisdom of the counsil was absolute, and Darius knew there spectrum of understanding was wider then his could ever hope to be. Darius Motioned for Taoré to join him at his side.

"Well I suppose you schould know a little bit about me, My planet Danteel, has only two months of constant sunlight due to it's orbit, which caused my people to develop this eye shine, My father dies at war,my mother is still alive on Danteel, along with my little sister Alysia, who is also force sensitive, and schould be assigned to a Jedi temple in a few months time. I have been in the order since I was four, spending six of that on Coruscant, five on Ossus, and i have been on Tython for just over a year." Darius continued to walk, using the force to lightly kick a small rock in front of him, "As you have seen I'm more inclined to the physical aspect of the force, what i lack is mental control, and that is why I am here, and not with a Jedi master I suspect."

Darius looked over to Taoré, "What about you, how now did our paths cross, in this great and wide universe?" Darius took his long hair a began to pull the water out, the awaited his answer with a smile.

Taoré surveyed his companion as they walked.

"My father was a Jedi Knight. I never met him because he died defending my mother against a Dark Jedi cult while my mother was still pregnant with me. She was pursued across the galaxy because of me. We spent our lives in shelters, hovels, on the move, with nary a credit to spend between us, I eventually gained an aptitude to fly, which gained us some income, until I was 14, when she handed me a journal containing what my father knew about the Force, as well as his damaged lightsaber, which after some time studying I had managed to modify and repair." He explained, his lightsaber jangling on its belt ring at his side.

"It opened up my eyes to a much bigger picture than what I had known before, but even new abilities learned have their drawbacks: For instance that little display of power... That wasn't intentional. Only recently did my own Master, Aden Vaal, teach me to limit the use of force I put into my abilities, but against larger objects, It will, well, you saw." He explained before changing the subject to what his companion said.

"I've come to learn both the need of theory and practice to be essential to learning the Force, as the Force itself is about balance: Mind and Body and Spirit. Too much one way can be the antithesis of what we strive for: Peace. And I suspect that with time, as I did literally, you will learn to shut out the noise. It never goes away, but it becomes white noise." He said, taking in what Darius had said and theorizing it, as he often did. Always in theory, never in practice. He thought with a small snort as they continued to walk.

By now they had reached the outside, the sunlight glistening a brilliant red-gold. It was sunset. Taoré had been their now for a couple of months, but the sky above always took his breath away.

"You don't see this a lot amongst the city lights, where streams of light call out to you." He said, looking at the stars now coming into view against the blues in the sky.

"I"m sorry to bring up such hard memories, I know how hard it is to loose someone like that, but consider the fact that every step you take is in honor of him, his sacrifice was not in vain," Darius stared at Taoré's Lightsaber, he wondered how long it would be until he would be allowed to construct his own, "A Marvelous piece of equipment, I tire of the training sabers, the extra protection slows the blade."

Darius nodded his head in agreement as Taoré commented on balancing the force, it had long been Darius goal to calm his mind so he could become a better Jedi, "All too true, in the past two years my mind has become a tuning fork to those around me, a training that I suspect will only get worse as my training goes along, as will my ability to control it. It's just a matter of finding an outlet for to allow the force to flow."

Darius stopped gazing up at the Sky with Taoré, "Yes when you come from a place that has only two sunsets a year, you learn to appreciate thins like this." Darius closed his eyes for moment making his eyes more receptive of the light, opening them to be dazzled by sheer amount of stars in the sky, "I can't think of of anything more beautiful."

He turned to face his companion, whom he watched eye his lightsaber. After the sun finally set behind the hills, he unhitched his weapon.

"I trust you won't amputate yourself or me if you did a practice session with the real deal." He said nodding as he handed the weapon. He watched the blade ignite in a lightning quick twirl, its familliar emerald green sliding into existence with a snap-hiss.

"It took me a year to repair the damn thing." he said he spun the blade once or twice himself before turning it sideways as to offer the grip to Darius.
"Even longer to modify it and grow with it." He said, motioning him to take the weapon. He had tried a training saber once, and it felt encumbersome. He was able to continue private sparring sessions with his master as he grew in his nimble acrobatic style. It had been quite some time now, but he had felt his abilities advance. He was curious as to see what he can do. His own form was Ataru, but any lightsaber style in essence could be used in dance, as it was essential to master the footwork and hand placement without targets, as his master had put it. Imagine as if outnumbered, where any one mis-step can be death. Allow the Force to guide every placement, anticipate the direction between the heartbeats, and in that split second, you move. His master's thoughts echoing in his skull.
