“Red light” the master sergeant yelled over the gunship engines Tucker noticed Bull shivering. It was Bull’s first high altitude jump and he only tried a jetpack once in training.* Tucker told Bull “remember hit the engine starter on your left shoulder then all you have to do is keep your self balanced.” Bull said “ok I think I can do that” *“good” then tucker and bull where ready. That’s when they heard “green light go go go go” so Tucker, Bull, Trip, and Hawkeye dove out of the ARC 170 high altitude bomber. Bull was so scared that he left his DC-15 in the bomber but luckily he carried another one. They landed *on the hard ground of *Ryloth and imediely they had resistance tucker screamed “take cover” as a hail of gun fire came at him. He rolled to one side and dove behind a rock. Bull heard Hawkeye scream "gernade" as he dove away from his position. Then an explosion and bright light happened right where Hawkeye was. Tucker yelled over the gun fire “RUN” Hawkeye sniped one more droid and turned tail. Trip chucked a thermal detonator and ran. Bull fired two rockets and bolted away. Tucker never stopped firing his DC-15 as he retreated. They ran as fast as the could and they hid among the bushes.

Okay, so you haven't really read the rules or timeline around here, but we're not currently in that era, we predate it by about 13,000 years.

So, for future reference, here's what to do. First things first, if this is your first RP forum (then again even if it isn't) you should give a quick glance to the three stickies in this board. That includes the "Guide to Roleplaying", the "Roleplaying Rules" and "Brandon Rhea's Guide to Roleplaying".

If I were you I would then begin creating your character. For your first character I would certainly recommend using one of the character templates found in this thread, and it's worth noting that the first template is easier to use at first. Also when creating your character, and writing their history make sure you check out the Useable Species List and the Useable Planets List so you don't get a tirade of members telling you what you have to change immediately. Also make sure you read The Story: The Alsakan Crisis thread and the Timeline of Galactic History. I would also suggest giving Grim's Guide to Not Making Crappy Characters a read, as it can be very helpful.

Once you've got your character, if you do not want to sign them up to a faction, you can begin roleplaying straight away. Just remember these things and you should be fine. If you do want to join a faction, it's worth having a look at each, and reading all the stickies in the main faction thread's (The Order of the Jedi, The Galactic Republic, The Ospion Guardians, The Planet of Onderon and The Alsakan Union). There are also a few independent factions which you can look up in The Independent Factions Board.
