This isn't necessary, but it helps keep track of which RP characters you have on the account you are using, and for others to know who is who and they can access your RP profile with ease. If you could add something to say your Signature to say who you RP as and what they are in short term would help keep track of others when we RP so we don't always have to go and look through countless threads to find them.
Something like this
Example Starting...
Carlos Rayn - Jedi Knight
Example ending
Anyways, here is a nice format.
Or you can put a link to the profile... that's better than just the name as it allows for easy access to characters' profiles.
Like i said, you don't have to do these, but it helps keep track of which account controls which characters.
If RPing peeps were to say...put something like that in there sig, it would go a long way to help.

Character name here - Character rank/occupation
If you use different colors for different characters, just put the color you use for the character that you use it for. If not, then you can leave it as it is. Then it may look like this.
Color version
Darth Raven - Dark Lord of the Sith
Normal Version
Dralin Xen - Crime Lord
Linked Version
To quote Boli/GR1M
To make a link with a different name than the ugly url, use the below format. Hope this is helpful.
{URL="*URL GOES HERE EG http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/*"}*Name of link goes here*{/URL}*
*-change {} brackets to [] brackets, though. And make sure the url is in quotation ("") marks.
And don't use the Stars.
