A day after arriving at the location of his new home, Heron was summoned by his new master. The youth has a good idea of what his master wants (from past experiences), but his thoughts are, most likely inaccurate. Heron clips his lightsaber to his belt, grabs something small to eat real quick, and walks briskly towards the chambers.

*As Kyle could hear soft sounds of feet walking that grew louder and louder within each moment, his eyes were closed as he was in the center of the room in an Indian-style sitting posture with his back straight and palms faced towards the ceiling. He breathed in and out slowly and involuntary as his mind was flowing through the Force, meditating on the day's work to be accomplished.

Today, he was to train Heron Sorren...a boy who had just been granted the title of Padawan. It wasn't that Kyle wanted to train the boy...but it seemed that the other Masters had become like Kyle and were bouncing around in the galaxy, and Kyle had grown more accustomed to staying in the Temple to teach a Padawan. All for the greater good of the galaxy, Kyle supposed...*

Wonder if that's him running down the hall now...

A minute later, Heron stands before the chambers of Master Stellar, the one who will teach him about the ways of the Force. Taking a deep breath, the padawan approaches the doors, which opens at his convenience. Sitting cross-legged, is Master Kyle Stellar.

"Greetings, Master," began Heron, bowing in respect.

It is simple courtesy to do all the respectful stuff as so to avoid bad first impressions. Even though he knows how important it is to follow the Jedi Code, relations between him and other, stricter, followers of the code tend to have... Strained relationships.

"Greetings Heron. And please...don't call me Master. It gives such a bad name to my teachings. Just call me Kyle. Oh, and by the way, go ahead and sit down to meditate with me."

*Kyle would understand if Heron did not understand why the title was not important to Kyle, but he would figure out later. Titles were unimportant, for one could never be a Master...but some could be better than others in some aspect. It was just the level of understand of the Force that brought Kyle to the status that he was in...nothing more, and nothing less.

Everyone could learn from each other, therefore the proverb it takes a village to raise a child. The first step to learning would be drawing the knowledge within out into the open, which they would both do by meditating. With one hand, he motioned Heron to sit down across from him, guiding his hand as though he knew exactly where Heron stood.*

Although it surprised Heron to hear that his Master is lax about formalties, he nods, sure that Kyle can feel his movement through ripples in the Force. He settles down in a meditative position next to Kyle, and began concentrating, beginning his training.

Heron quickly realized how strong the Force's presence is within the meditation chambers, and adjusted to the spiritual balance. How well, or poorly, he performed this act of concentration depends on Kyle.

*Kyle could sense the boy sitting down and letting himself concentrate on the Force. That wasn't the exact idea of meditating...but it was fine for now. Heron was drawing the Force all around him and clustering it around him like a whirlwind with himself as the eye of the storm. It was very good, but maybe Heron did not notice, but Kyle had nothing around him. The Force particles were actually flowing all towards Heron than Kyle himself, for the ideal of meditation was to let yourself go and rise to the state of freeness within the Force rather than draw it around oneself.*

"Heron. Let go of your mental state of mind and rise into nothingness, but in this state of nothingness, you can think as well. You are drawing upon the Force and believing you are immersing yourself in it. You can do the same by letting go."

Letting go...

Heron realized what his master was saying and let go of everything. The whirlwind of Force particles disappated into barely anything at all. It is not perfect, but it shows that Heron is good at adjusting to the situation.

*Kyle could feel the Force particles being flushed away as many were dispersed around Heron and went flying back into their original spaces. Now that Heron was in the mental state of freeness, he could start the lesson.*

"Heron. What do you feel, see, hear, and sense in this state of freeness and nothingness?"

"Echoes... Echoes from this temple... From the Force," replied Heron, "I feel... Both warm and cold, as though opposite sides are propelling me to decide. I see each living thing on the planet go through their lives... And I sense... Death."

The padawan cannot figure out the meaning behind sensing death, although he is sure that it holds meaning.

*Kyle's eye fluttered for a moment. Heron had sensed death...not odd...but intriguing. The other feelings he had were very intuned with the Force, which was good, but still, it was odd. This whole situation was odd. Heron was feeling things that most Knights couldn't even feel at his stage, but the feelings he was trying to describe were very correct. Was he dealing with another prodigy?*

"Death you say...what is Death saying to you? What are the voices saying to you? Who or what is making you decide?"

"It is the Force that propels me," answered Heron, "Death... Is telling me that all paths wind up to it - that there is no escape. Beyond that, the clouds cover what I can see. I cannot tell what is the source of what I feel."

The whole thing with his master asking specifically about death in his feelings disturbed the padawan. What is intriguing about feeling death?

"So in a sense, you are telling me that the Force propels you to see Death. That is very odd Heron...although I can say I have had somewhat similar experience. But mine relates to touching objects to see visions, rather than having the Force allow me to have contact with the dead. Very interesting Heron...but...how can you relate this to the Force and the Jedi Code?"

*While in this meditation, Kyle would blend in the philosophical part of the Jedi he was supposed to incorporate into his teachings as well as the interpretations of the Force. If possible, Kyle would also lead this discussion into learning a Force Power, and hopefully going off to other important matters to cover.*

"I'm... Not sure," Heron replies heisitantly, "There is no death - there is the Force, as it says in the Code... But I cannot tell how it can be deciphered into what the Force shows me."

Minutes pass, and the padawan continued.

"Is it telling me that what I see is false, and that I should trust some other instinct, or source?"

"No Heron. What you see is true, and a Jedi shall always trust the Force, but the way you interpret things is how most things work. This interpretation that you've seen through the Force can only be understood if you can decipher the Jedi Code. So let's move on to that. What is the Jedi Code and explain each line to me in your own view."

*Kyle was still motionless as his lips moved barely while his eyes were closed. His mind was working at a seemingly slow pace as his astral projection of his body was soaring through the Temple in a spirit form. It seemed as though Heron was a newbie at interpretations, but no worries. At the end of the lesson, Heron would have to learn to be adaptive and analytical to survive in the real world.*

Heron knew the Code by heart. It was required of all Jedi to remember the words of the Code.

"<div align="center">There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force."</div>

Heron pauses before beginning. His own interpretation of the Code.

"Violence can be avoided by containing one's feelings within himself. By controlling emotion, a Jedi can do what a guardian of peace and justice is supposed to do."

"A Jedi is to know the workings of the galaxy. Ignorance can ignite violence, the thing that a Jedi is to prevent."

"Passion leads to desire, which a Jedi should keep at the bare minimum, unless the desire is to maintain the peace. Being serene will avoid strained relationships between persons, especially in a diplomatic situation."

"Death is the end of the path that we currently take. Death is what leads many to lose their training as Jedi, and fall. The Force is there to help deal with the reality of death."

"Good. It seems as though you have a good concept of the Jedi Code, although ignorance does not only lead to violence, but not learning the knowledge of stopping violence so that one can maintain peace. Things work in cycles Heron, and once you can find that cycle, there is only the idea and working of breaking out of the cycle to become one of the best of the best. Now...relate the last line of the Force to your visions of Death."

*Now that Heron had spoken his piece of death and the Force, he should have made the connection the moment he spoke those words. His visions were from the Force because he was either being contacted by the dead, or he was having trouble of getting over a death, and those visions of Death were just merely haunting him and that Heron would have to let go. The death was only the Force spirits being gathered up again for reincarnation, or what most seemed to see it as, although Kyle believed that these spirits only created new and improved spirits that would one day all be peaceful.*

"The Force receives those who perishes from a multitude of reasons. The end of life leads to another within the Force, where the term Becoming one with the Force originated," said Heron.

Other than that sentence, the padawan had nothing else to say.

"Good. Now that you have understood this concept...can you identify why you are seeing these visions?"

*Kyle had said this through the Force, hinting to Heron to once again try and feel the Force identify the source of these visions were coming from. If it would help him find the source, then he would move on, but if not...well...he would have to figure out some way to help Heron get out of this cycle of visions. It was not normal to view the images Heron was describing at the least of it all.*

((Sorry my post is brief and late - I was busy over the weekend))

"Am I envisioning death as part of my path? Death tempting me towards a path that I should not tread?" asked Heron.

He heard whispers through the Force that pushed him towards that reply, although the padawan could not distinguish who it originated from.

"Possibly. I am not you, so I can not tell you what you should see, but I believe it is possible someone might be trying to contact you from the dead, or maybe you lost someone that you are still mourning for?"

*This was strangely odd. If the boy couldn't make the connection, what was the reason of Death trying to reach out to him? Maybe this boy was odder than it seemed...*

ooc: so this is getting nowhere...and I can't find the pm button thingy, so if you could tell me why Herron is seeing Death, that would be helpful.
