Kothlis
Outer Rim Territories
0730 Hours Local Time

The waters of Kothlis could be heard in the distance as waves broke and lapped against the sandy shores. But Jedi Knight Kai Sera was not there to enjoy the beaches or the oceans, at least that wasn't the main reason he was there. The knight had actually there to teach Asheek more about the Force. Kothlis was a water world, but it had several islands covered with jungles and forests, perfect for a secluded training session. Kai and his student would need the seclusion; they had a lot to cover. Depending on how long they took it might even stretch to mord than a week! The young dark-haired man only hoped the Togruta was up for it, he didn't think the exotic Asheek would shy away from the challenge, but he didn't plan on it being easy either.

Kai had taken Asheek to Kothlis aboard a small VX-700 which had "borrowed" from some slavers that he liked to use to get about and train on, but he wanted the open space a planet provided for the comprehensive cram session he was about to start. The truth was Kai had taken to visiting new planets and secluded areas as he found it much more rewarding to discover places that were largely undisturbed by civilization and it allowed him a much deeper connection to the Force. As he sat on the soft red soil of the grove of trees, Kai waited for Asheek to join him while meditsting on the energy of thr planet. Hearing her incredibly soft footfalls with the aid of the Force he smiled. "Are you ready to continue your training, Asheek? If so, sit with me and ready your mind. We have a lot to cover and we'll take as long as needed to ensure you get everything I have to teach you. As always let us begin with meditation. I want you to tell me what I'm feeling at this moment."

He smiled as he turned to face the red Togruta. Motioning for a patch of red soil across from him he waited for the young female to join him and begin. When she did he'd wait for any questions that might needed to be answered before beginning. Focusing his mind, Kai focused on the color of the red soil that he was sitting on.

Asheek was always more than willing to go explore foreign planets, and see the native fauna and wildlife. And, if given permission, perhaps even hunt the wildlife. It's a habit she was unable and unwilling to drop. Just because she had joined the Jedi and no longer lived in a tribe didn't mean she had to give up the core concepts of life she had been taught, and had lived by, for her entire life. Standing just inside the jungle on the island they were on, Asheek looked deeper inside, wondering if her training would take her deeper in.

Turning around, knowing Kai was waiting for her, Asheek began walking back onto the beach. Oceans were strange to her, as she had not been near one for most of her life. Now, suddenly she was aware of so many planets made up of mostly oceans. They seemed odd to her, something so foreign about them that she hadn't taken the time to really learn much about them. Turning her attention back to the task at hand, she approached Kai, her bare feet leaving impressions in the soil.

Sitting down as Kai asked, she loosened her body, relaxing as she opened her mind up, ready to meditate. She had no questions, honestly, she was excited, and wanted to begin as soon as possible. "I feel great today." Asheek replied, her voice thick with an exotic accent. Thinking on what exactly she felt, Asheek was unsure of whether he meant within herself, or within the ground. Thinking for a moment, she decided to answer both. "I feel... Excited. As for the ground and land around us? Everything feels..." Asheek paused, trying to find the proper words for the peaceful environment. "Calm."

With a wide grin on his face, the knight gave the Togrutan beauty a nod of the head. Of course, he'd never say such a thing to Asheek, but he did find the red-skinned alien oddly attractive in that primitive exotic way men do. Kai quickly pushed his thoughts aside, though, and focused on training the young Jedi; she was almost ready to become a knight, he believed, she just needed to round out her abilities her knowledge of the Force. Something he hoped to do for her while they were on this island. "Good, good. I'd have to agree with you there. It's part of the reason I thought it would be nice to come here. Unlike Naboo, or a busier planet, where we are now has been completely untouched by civilization. Now, are you ready to put some of that good excited energy to use?"

Hopping up to his feet, Kai motioned for Asheek to join him. The knight kicked off his boots, and disrobed; if there was one thing Asheek did that Kai thought was interesting it was her lack of shoes or any kind of footwear. It allowed her to feel the ground, but more than that it really helped connect to the energy of the Force in the ground with that simple tactile connection. The knight figured he'd do what she had always done and let his feet touch the red soil. Inhaling as he rolled his sleeves up, Kai smiled his typical goofy smile. Walking over to a crate he had taken off of the ship, the knight used the Force to lift the lid off of it. Inside was several items they could use for training. For now he pulled out three different training remotes. "Let's start with some telekinesis. I want you to lift each training remote and move it in orbits around your head. Once you have all three up I want you to push yourself with their use. Do something challenging and test your control. To this end I'll be trying to interfere by sending the remotes in random directions. Your job is to make sure they don't touch the ground. Ready?"

Kai would wait for Asheek to lift each remote up before starting to test her ability to use telekinesis. Once her remotes were floating around her head, Kai picked a remote at random and would either send it flying straight up or out into the woods where Asheek would have to regain control and bring them back without having any one touch the ground.

Asheek watched him curiously as he removed his shoes. It wasn't that he was removing them that made it strange to her, it was the fact that he wore them to begin with. Her feet were tough, and she found it silly that some people would feel pain walking over obstacles barefoot that her tough-skinned feet had grown used to. As Kai pulled out the training items, she nodded, getting ready to practice her Telekinesis. She had already learned it, but she was eager to become better and more skilled in its usage.

Concentrating, it took her a few moments to lift the training remotes into the air, one at a time as she focused on one in particular to lift up. It had been a while since her initial practice session. While she had practiced it every now and then, it was still a skill she wanted to improve. Focusing on hold all three of the training remotes, she began rotating them around her, keeping her hands together in her lap. Closing her eyes, focusing her mind on the training remotes, she began to move them in more complex ways. Even though they slowed down, they began to do various things, rotating them around her at various heights and changing their directions.

After about a minute of her adding complexity to her motions, she suddenly felt one of the training remotes launch into the air. Realizing that it was Kai interfering, she furrowed her brow, trying to reclaim hold on the training remote. As the training remote neared the ground, it began to slow, stopping mid air a mere few inches off of the ground. Inhaling deeply, Asheek pulled it back into orbit around her, preparing for the next intrusion.

Her hold on the training remotes faltered, causing them to wobble as they moved. She was too focused on anticipating Kai's next attack to actually be in a position to defend against it. She became surprised as the training remote went flying to her left. Changing her focus once again, she decided that she had to focus solely on the training remotes, and only respond as the situation changed. Pulling the training remote back towards her, she pulled it once more back into its unique, perfect orbit around her.

She clearly recalled her previous session fairly well, and was obviously improving since they started. For the remaining intrusions from Kai, the training remotes either barely moved or were captured before moving that far.

The human remained physically impassive as he worked with Asheek through the drills, even though he was quite proud at how far the Togruta had come since they had first met on Tibannopolis. It was fulfilling to see the newer Jedi, the Padawans progressing in leaps and bounds. Asheek seemed to be handling the Telekinesis quite well, so Kai kept at it; the point was to push her to her limits, so as they kept practicing the knight would continue to increase the strength with which he would throw the remotes. Kai kept going, continued doing this until it became apparent Asheek was getting too tired, or he was.

Time passed as they kept practicing, and Kai was impressed with how well Asheek managed to keep up. Finally, he motioned for the red female to stop. "That's enough for now. I'm thoroughly pleased, Asheek! You've seemed to have come quite a long way in your time as a Jedi! Now, let's move onto something bigger... I'm going to get our next training item, feel free to get some water if you need it from the chest." The man motioned to a nearby crate which he had brought along with food and drink. He removed his lightsaber from his belt, and activating it leaped up into a nearby tree cutting a thick branch off. Letting it and himself fall to the ground, Kai tried to push it with his foot, but it didn't budge. Satisfied that it was heavy enough, Kai motioned for Asheek to join him.

"Okay, now, we're going to move onto phase two of telekinesis training. You did really quite well with the remotes, showing you have excellent focus and control. But now, let's test your raw power with the Force and be able to move things." Motioning to the severed branch, Kai extended his hand and calling on the Force used it to lift it a few inches off the ground. Focusing a little more he had it rise to about waist level before relaxing and setting it down. "First things first, I want you to lift it up. It shouldn't be too hard. Once you have it a meter or two off the ground I want you to throw it straight up into the air as high as you can. Once you've done that let it fall and catch it before it touches the ground. After you've done this for a little bit, we'll start the main portion of the exercise: we're going to take turns throwing it into the forest and the other has to try and catch it using the Force before they throw it into the woods. Got it?"

Kai waited for Asheek to ask any questions, then he stepped back and waited for her to start. This next exercise would be particularly tiring and draining, even for him, but the point was to push the Padawan to her breaking point, and then have her push through it, to see how far she could push herself. After all, in a duel to the death one would have to push themselves to their very limit and beyond if they wished to survive. And in his mind, Kai believed it was his duty to make sure the Padawans he taught were prepared for such things.

As time went on, Asheek found it harder and harder to stop and bring back the training remotes. Beads of sweat began to appear on her forehead, and she frowned as her concentration sank deeper in deeper, until she was no longer able to catch them, the force of them being thrown too strong for her to catch them before one sank out of range. As one hit the ground, it caused of ripple of Asheek's focus, and the rest of the training remotes fell to the ground. Feeling herself suddenly out of breath, she leaned back, putting her weight on her hands as she took deep breaths.

Nodding as Kai told her that she could get some water, she took the time to walk over to the chest, ignoring what Kai was doing up until she was holding up a bottle of water, and she heard a large thump behind her. Looking over her shoulder, she saw the large tree branch that Kai had cut down. Curiosity filling her mind, she quickly drank the water she had retrieved, leaving about half of it left in the bottle. Placing it back in the chest.

Walking back over to Kai, ready to join him for the next exercise, Asheek was a bit shocked about what they would be doing. It was quite a feat, and though she had previously used quite a bit of power in telekinesis, back on Tatooine, it was in a moment of emotion, something she shouldn't have allowed. Slowly picking up the branch, putting her focus into it, it began to lift into the air, up to chest level. Holding her hands up on the same level, she closed her eyes, trying to put as much focus as possible into the exercise. Moving her hands up quickly, putting a flow of force upward, the branch launched into the air, going tens of feet into the air.

Refocusing where the power was going, and by how much, as it fell once more, she found it much more difficult to stop it from falling. The momentum was difficult to slow, and it slowed as it neared the ground, stopping just a mere inches from landing in the red dirt. She repeated this several times, more beads of sweet appearing on her forehead, her concentration being pushed further than it normally was. She was unsure how she would fare once Kai took part in the next exercise. Though difficult, Asheek managed to repeat the drill several times, catching the large, heavy branch and tossing it into the air once more.

Turning to Kai, Asheek decided that she was ready to start the next drill. "This is going to be difficult but... I think I'm ready."

Kai watched happily as Asheek worked on her training. He could tell she was getting tired, and thought about having her take a break sooner, but she seemed determined to continue, so they kept practicing. The knight watched as Asheek threw her log up into the air and tried to catch her log just as he had asked her to do. His eyes could see the beads of sweat forming on her red forehead and he could feel the focus and concentration she was putting out through the Force. In the Force Kai could see how she drew on it and manipulated it as she tried to stop her log from hitting the ground. With each success he could see and feel the difficulty and determination etched into her features as well as the energy that surrounded her. Kai found himself rather surprised with how many times she was able to successfully move the log and keep it from touching the ground. It caused him to feel a small amount of pride as he watched her grow and push herself, breaking barriers and learning how to dig in deep and channel the Force; she would need it if she were to truly face a dangerous opponent.

Shaking his head when she said that she was ready to begin the second part he smiled at her as he approached. "No, take a quick moment to breathe, you pushed yourself with that last drill. I'm glad to see it, but I want you to be able to learn from this next lesson, and if you're just barely able to keep up than you won't learn as well. Take five minutes, get some water, cool off with a short dunk in the ocean, or meditate if you'd like. Then we'll start the next drill."

Kai gave Asheek a pat on the shoulder before walking off towards the beach where he listened to the ocean waves for a minute before pulling out his lightsaber and running through his katas and velocities. When the five minutes were up he returned to where the grove where they were training. Getting a feel for her energy and focus through the Force he asked, "Alright, I hope you're feeling a little bit better. Now, let's move on to the second part. Lift up your log and try and throw it at me. This will exercise your ability to throw not only objects but people across the battlefield, or obstacles from your path, even save a family from a dangerous structure that might collapse on them at any second. Thes second part will train your ability to react and stop another Force users attempt to throw an object at you. When you're ready, pick the log up and throw it at me!"

Kai took several steps away until he was on the opposite edge of the clearing, plenty of room for them to throw the log back and forth without being too rushed. Waiting for Asheek's first push, the knight began to extend his senses outwards, so when it did come he was ready. Bringing his hands up, Kai drew the Force towards the log, causing it to stop in mid air before sending it back at Asheek. He didn't throw it too hard, not at first anyways, not until she was used to training and using the Force in such a way. As they progressed and she got more comfortable he would throw the log back harder to increase the difficulty, to push her boundaries, and to keep her from getting complacent or lazy. They would do that until she was about ready to give up or collapse, or given that she seemed to be incredibly determined, when he felt that she had mastered what he was attempting to teach her.

Finally, he would bring his hand up as he threw the log back at her. Looking up his eyes examined how late it had gotten since they had begun training. "I think that's enough of that. Take another break. Go hunt something, bring us back lunch! When you return we'll get started on some new techniques for you." He smiled at her and waited for her to decide what to do until he was ready to start her next lesson.

Nodding as he told her to rest, Asheek went off towards the ocean, deciding to spend some time in the odd, salty water. Stripping herself down to wraps, what she considered undergarments, she slipped into the cool, moving water, letting the heat radiating from her body melt away into the endless blue. Relaxing, letting herself float, she felt her back headtail brush against the sandy bottom below her, an odd, strange and foreign feeling. While the feeling itself wasn't strange, it was the fact of how the water moved both her and the sand, creating a strange, unsteady brush against her.

After spending a few minutes cooling down, Asheek climbed out of the water, slipping back into more appropriate clothing. Treading back towards where they were practicing, Asheek once more drank some water, trying to make sure she stayed hydrated. Approaching Kai once more, sure that she was ready to continue this time. Looking at the log, reading to push it towards Kai, Asheek lost herself in her thought for a moment. It constantly reminded her of her actions on Tatooine. She couldn't allow that to happen again, while her actions did not hurt the slaves... It was powered by her emotions.

Focusing on the long, it began to heave off of the ground, floating front of Asheek as she prepared to throw it. She prepared herself, balling up the force in a concentrated mass around the log, before releasing it forward, a burst of energy as it launched itself towards Kai. It was odd, as she was worried she might hurt Kai, even if he was much more experience, but the level of power behind it surprised even her. As Kai tossed it back, Asheek, as before, found it difficult to catch, having to stop not only its weight, but its momentum.

Continuing the exercise, tossing the log back and forth, beads of sweat once more began to drip from her brow. Each time the log came back at her, it seemed impossible for her to stop it, to toss it back to continue the cycle. Yet each time, Asheek lifted her arms and focused her mind, slowing it to a stop, and vaulting it back at Kai. She lost herself in the exercise, she focus on the repetition of the task, preparing herself for it becoming more difficult each time. As Kai moved it to the ground, she found herself still exerting force to where it would be, causing a ripple in the air in front of her as she stumbled forward.

Whether or not Kai was serious on her hunting for lunch, she took it as a challenge. With a toothy grin, Asheek vanished, rushing into the Kothilin forest, the Togrutan Huntress ready to prove herself.

Minutes passed, then over an hour, and Asheek stood silent and still. She had found more than enough possible meals, small, rodent like creatures that dotted the forest floors. But those were easy, they wouldn't show Kai how skilled of a huntress Asheek was, so she kept searching, ignoring the rodent creatures. However, she soon did catch one anyway, but it wasn't for the reason of eating it. Instead, she had observed, in her quiet watch, a large bird creature swooping out from the canopy, swiping up a rodent that was too slow to evade itself to cover.

She had been watching the ground, while her new bounty had been scouring the skies. Looking up, searching for the signs of the large birds, she came up with a plan, snatching up one of the rodents, quickly chomping down on its neck, its struggles dying down to nothing. Demeter wiped the blood from her lips, frowning at the still corpse. She assumed that they would have post-mortum spasms, much like the common rodents of Shili. Either way, the corpse would serve its purpose.

Spearing the rodent on a stick, Asheek planted it near a pool of water, gathered from rain and runoff in a shallow pond. Hiding herself next to it, covering herself in mud, leaves, and other natural camouflage to disguise her bright, alien colors from the watchful eyes above. She laid there, dirty and hidden, for several minutes, ears open, eyes glued to the corpse of the rodent. It didn't take much longer for her to hear the quiet flaps of wings, as she prepared herself to push herself off the ground. As she saw the bird snatching the rodent, she sprang from the ground, grabbing it as it struggle to rip the rodent off of the stick it was speared on.

Wrestling with the large bird, Asheek held on tight as it clawed at her with its talons, its sharp beak trying in vain to rip into her to free itself. Plunging the bird into the pond she had waited by, Asheek herself dived in, her sharp canines plunging towards the creature. Crunching the birds neck, Asheek seemed more than pleased with herself as she hauled the large corpse out of the water, all but forgetting the previous kill, used only as a lure for something larger. Kai was probably expecting some sort of mammal, a land fairing animal or something lesser than her kill. She felt such large excitement as she hurriedly washed the dirt and soot from herself, sprinting back to where they had been training, the large, chicken sized bird in tow, still warm.

She had all but forgotten about noon passing, more intent on cleaning the corpse, stripping edible, delicious meat off of it, and cooking it. Proudly showing her kill to Kai, her chin slathered in its now dry blood, she sat down, beginning to go into a rhythm she had all but mastered, de-feathering the bird using sharp rocks, carefully stripping long pieces of meat from it, and collecting the bones. Placing the bones beside her, she tossed away the unused remains to the woods, where scavengers would no doubt feast on the free meal. Creating a fire, she eagerly cooked the meat, checking the many strips every minute or so, just in case it cooked at a different speed than most.

A bit too early for them to be well done, she pulled one off of the fire, taking a bite, testing to see just how ready the meat was. It was still raw, not something she minded, in fact she enjoyed it, but Kai would likely find it unsatisfactory. Placing the strip of meat back onto the fire, she waited a bit more, until she was sure each and every of the numerous pieces were cooked to perfection. She had previously kabobed the strips so she could roast them easier, and put out the fire so they could be grabbed with less than nimble hands. Calling Kai over, she all too excitedly presented the meal she had prepared. Taking a strip for herself, she happily dug in, sitting down as she enjoyed the foreign, fresh meat.

Asheek disappeared with surprising speed when Kai suggested she go hunt their meal. Of course he knew she used to be a huntress, the pelts she wore as clothing was a constant reminder, and he wanted to give her the opportunity to do what she had grown up doing; something he was sure she loved. He was sure that she had been fairly limited with how, where, and when she could hunt, and he wanted to give her the chance to do it without restrictions, without worrying about upsetting some pretentious culture's social norms because they didn't hunt and viewed it as unnecessary. So, he was more than pleased to see the toothy grin she had on her red face when he mentioned doing what she loved, and at how fast she left him behind at the camp site.

While she was out hunting, Kai thought it best to practice on his own some things Asheek wouldn't want to learn. He began exercising with his basic lightsaber drills, all the boring stuff, and then he would slowly transition into the more advanced Soresu drills. Activating the half-dozen training remotes, Kai began on the lowest difficulty, a purple blindfold covered his eyes so he could not see where the remotes would be. Instead, he would have to rely entirely on the Force to know where the remotes were, which one was shooting, and where the bolt was aimed at. Activating the blade of his lightsaber, Kai took a typical opening stance for Soresu with his blade held out horizontally so it was parallel to the ground. The first remote fired, and Kai drew his blade inward, tucking his elbows in and deflecting the bolt easily. Then the next fired, and the next, and the next, and Kai blocked them all. Over several minutes Kai raised the difficulty on each remote level by level, until he had just passed intermediate difficulty. The shot would come faster now and much more accurately, and still Kai blocked them, albeit with much more difficulty as he began to push his limits. His blade was a flash of silver light as it dodged around his body blocking the scarlet bolts. As time wore on he slowly began feeling the effects of fatigue wearing on him; he must have been going for a good thirty minutes now and still there was no sign of Asheek. With a little puff of air, the knight exhaled as he reached out and could still sense her presence nearby. She was alive and that was good enough for him, for now he had to focus on his training. The drill went on for another fifteen minutes as he blocked the bolts, drawing on the Force to keep his energy up. Finally, with sweat pouring down his body Kai deactivated the lightsaber in his hands and waved the remotes down with the Force.

For the moment Kai got something to drink, and then stripping down to his underwear, jumped into the cool blue waves of the ocean. There he remained for a few minutes letting the salty water wash over his skin and cool him down. When he was done he would return back to the campsite, grabbing a towel he had laid out and using it to dry himself off before partially reclothing himself. His next exercise would be far less physical. Sitting down in the center of the clearing, Kai reached out and picked all six of the remotes up and began twirling them around his head with the Force. With the remotes floating he pushed his senses even farther and began picking up some small stones and twigs nearby. Then it was on to larger things, bigger sticks and stones, then the crates. All of them orbited at head height in lazy circles as he sat waiting for Asheek to return. Extending his senses out to their maximum range he could still pick up the red-skinned Togruta's presence in the Force a distance away in the jungles. So, he meditated for a long while.

When he had enough of meditating, Kai thought it best to practice his Electric Judgment, an ability he still had yet to really master in the most basic sense. Finding an isolated stone, large enough that he could focus the burst of emerald lightning at without worrying about striking a nearby tree and setting the jungle on fire, the knight began to focus himself. The meditating helped with this, as he found it much easier to draw in the Force, then as he extended his hand forward the energy inside of him manifested as the viridian-colored electricity which arced and spider-webbed out until it struck the stone. The power scorched the surface of the stone, heating it up to incredibly temperatures and blowing off small blackened portions in all directions. He was only able to do this for a quarter of a minute before he had exhausted his Force reserve and had to channel it back into him. After a minute of resting, Kai did again much to similar effects. He did this several more times until he himself felt weary and in need of a rest.

Walking slowly back into the clearing, he looked up and noticed that the world's sun was now past its zenith and on its descent back to the horizon. With a bit of a sigh he began to head over to a nearby log he had appropriated as a bench when he heard the rustling of someone approaching. Extending his senses, Kai could identify Asheek as the person making the noise. As she entered the clearing he could see what looked like residue and streaks of mud that weren't entirely washed off on her skin and on her clothes as well. She had a bird with her, and with a surprised look on his face gave her an acknowledging nod, amused at the blood still on her face before letting her get to her work. All he said was, "Very good, I await to see what you can do." But he also made sure that his approving attitude would be able to be sensed through the Force.

Asheek expertly built a fire and cleaned and cooked her catch. When it was done she called him over, and with the excitement of a child presenting something they had proudly made to their parent, Asheek presented Kai with a kabob of the bird meat. With a grin on his face, he gave her a nod, and thanked her before digging in. The young man hadn't quite realized how hungry he was as he had been using the Force to sustain himself the past few hours, but when he bit into the meat the flavor instantly triggered a growling in his stomach. He couldn't get it down fast enough, despite the gamey flavor of the food. When it was all done, Kai placed the remains of the kabobs on the ground next to him and stretched his arms. "That was quite a delicious meal, Asheek. Marked me impressed. Now, are you ready to begin the next portion of our training?"

Kai stood up and moved closer to her, sitting down across from the Togruta and motioning for Asheek to get comfortable as this would be a sitting exercise. "Our next lesson will be on Telepathy. Incidentally, this is something I am quite good at as my Master Lutomi used the mental power quite a bit and for some reason I found it came quite easily to me. Now, to begin, we start as we normally do by quieting our minds and listening to the Force. Later on, of course, you'll be able to do this as easily as breathing or walking, or in your case hunting." He smirked at that for a moment as he paused and began to continue on making sure the young woman had enough time to process what he was saying. "So, once we've done all that, I want you to sense me, like you've done before. Don't just stop there, I really want you to focus on me, try and get an idea of my surface thoughts. You'll need to focus and dig in to do that, but you seem like you're determined enough. Then the hardest part will be implanting a thought of your own into my mind." Kai explained, further extrapolating how she would have to really push herself into learning how to project her thoughts into his. Then using his own skills in telepathy he said, "When you're done, it should feel something like this in my mind. Now if you're ready begin."

Asheek beamed with pride as she felt Kai's surprise and appreciation. However subtle or hidden his response was, it clearly had a positive impact on the young, red skinned woman. While eating, Asheek had finished her meal of the kabobs some time before Kai had, the carnivorous woman no doubt starving after such a long day. After finishing, waiting for Kai, she picked up bones and feathers from the animal, remains as she had picked the meat from them. Now the fresh bones and feathers were all that was left, aside from the refuse tossed away to scavengers. Looking over them, she carefully placed them in a neat pile with the rest of her belongings. She intended to use them later on, no doubt as a part of her clothing.

Moving over as Kai motioned to her, she smiled brightly at his comment on the food. She was glad that her years of experience weren't ignored by one of her mentors. Listening intently as she crossed her legs, she nodded as he explained to her how they would be working on telepathy. It was certainly an ability she had a heavy wish to learn, as it would most definitely come in handy in the future. She recalled on how Kai had telepathically messaged her before, and she had neglected on asking for instructions on how to do it herself back on Tatooine.

Feeling Kai send the words into her mind, she knew she had to do the same. The foreign message still lingering in her head, she relaxed, clearing her head as the instructions of what to do reverberated through her mind. Reaching out, her mind established connection with Kai's, an odd sensation she had not really felt before. Pushing words through, she attempted to send simple sentences to Kai, small, testing prods. Nothing got through, all Kai would feel in his head would be a whisper that was indiscernible.

Frowning, she stopped pushing the messages, figuring she should try something else. The foreign message still floating in her head, she took it, a mental copy, still Kai's words, still from him. She concentrated, seeing his mind as a puzzle with countless pieces, and the message as a splinter of it. She slid the splinter back in, as if it belonged there. Visualizing and using the force to work things such as this together was something she was growing used to doing. Slowly, as she inserted the splinter thought in, Kai's own message would return. There was an odd tone to it, as if it was accented. It was hard to place, but Kai could figure out that the message was played through Asheek's mind. To him, she was the one with the accent, with the odd speaking tone. Yet to Asheek.... He was. He was hearing his own accented speak from her ears.

It wasn't exactly what was wanted of her, but it was a start. It had taken a few minutes for her to do that much. Coming up with her own message, she attempted to reconfigure what the task was. Before she had reinserted the mental splinter, but this time she had to place her own where it didn't belong. So her mind rewrote its own code. The visualization changed as her mind dug just a bit deeper into Kai's. It made a crack in his thoughts, where the pressure would require the presence of something. She filled the crack with her own message. "Like this?"

The Jedi knight waited patiently as the young Togruta across from him did her best to send a telepathic message back to him through the Force. Kai didn't expect this to be an easy task, and he fully expected Asheek to take a little while, if not a long while, to get the job done. Though, knowing how determined and tenacious she could be, Kai was willing to side on shorter rather than longer. So, he sat there waiting as Asheek worked her mind around the problem and did her best to solve it through the Force. After some time, he thought he heard something, like a whisper, but it was barely audible much less intelligible. And so, he continued to wait, opening his eyes every so often so he could get an idea of what Asheek was thinking by her facial expressions and body language. Kai could easily see that she was working at it, which was good, at least she wasn't giving up, but he really should have expected nothing less from the red-skinned huntress.

Some more time passed, and Kai could feel the Togruta's work through the Force whenever he probed at the edges of her mind; he could feel the focus and drive behind her will. Surely, he thought, Asheek will make one terrifying warrior Jedi. She has the will and drive to make anything succeed. She just needs the skills and experience, I'm sure that tenacity of hers will take care of the rest. Then, something odd happened. He could feel his own words being pushed into his mind somehow. It was a very peculiar sensation as his words kept popping up again in his head, a sensation he hadn't experienced before. The words seemed different, like they were being played through a second set of speakers with a filter over it. Kai wasn't sure, but he thought that might have been how Asheek had heard him, a fascinating insight into the young woman. It was a decent first step, but Kai was certain he could feel the young female pushing harder; she wasn't done yet.

Good, Kai thought to himself. She's not satisfied yet. She wants to do exactly what I asked of her. So, he continued to wait patiently to see what would happen, to see how she would do it. He could now feel the presence of Asheek's mind pushing against his as she tried to figure it out and put a message of her own. Then finally, Asheek's voice flooded into his own mind. A happy smile spread across his face as he nodded approvingly at the female. Clapping his hands he almost jumped up and shouted praises, but he managed to restrain himself, though Asheek could feel his happiness and pride at her success if she simply felt his emotions. "Excellent Asheek! That is wonderful! Keep going, try and have a conversation with me only using telepathy! We'll keep at this until becomes dark."

Kai was all smiles for the next few hours. His next lesson would require the sun to be down and for the oceans to cool off dramatically before they began. So, until then he would converse with Asheek trying to learn more about the Togruta. How she used to hunt, what life was like on her homeworld, what the customs and culture was like. Really, anything she wanted to share. After a while, Kai would stop the conversation, and give Asheek a new task. "Before we break for supper, I want you to try one more thing with telepathy if you're up for it. You see, using telepathy, one can much more easily affect someone else's mind. Remember what I showed you on Naboo? Just like that. I would like you to recall how you do that, and combine it with telepathy, but this time try and create something... an illusion if you will. Start small, a ball, something very simple. Think about all the details you can put into it, and just like how you placed the words into my mind, place the image of the ball resting here between us."

Asheek felt the warmth of the praise and happiness from Kai as she smiled, finally having figured it out. It would no doubt take many more hours of practice for the Togrutan to fully grasp how to send telepathic messages. It had made her slightly anxious in the past as she had received messages in her mind, and being unable to reply to them, unable to fully acknowledge their existence. Once they were done here though... Asheek could finally consider her communication beyond her wobbly grasp on the Basic language acceptable.

As time went on, Asheek did indeed converse telepathically. At first, her words were slow, and took some time to fully reach Kai, but as time went on, her messages became faster and faster between their creation and their arrival. She told of hunting with spears constructed of bone and wood, how hunting was taught among her people. First they were given supplies at younger ages, asked and instructed to help repair and build spears for the hunters of the tribe, something she eagerly did. She explained further of how she would often repair and clean the spears next to the hunters, so she could listen to their stories of their successful hunts.

It seemed that, unsurprisingly, hunting was her favorite subject to converse on. She spoke of it for hours, how she began hunting by just following the more experienced, elderly hunters, often climbing on the backs of them as they used herding techniques to flush out certain animals from their flocks. It seemed to be a very fond memory for her, as it was one of the first times she truly experienced such excitement outside of her village. Then she went on to the lessons of crafting clothing from what hunters brought in, taught by her mother, someone she obviously spoke in high regard of.

Then she mention her father.... It was a passing word sent to Kai's mind, and he could feel her emotion change as she realized what she had just done. She had been talking of a day where her mother was bringing her to a place where they could tan hides, and she had explained how her father was staying in the village that day due to a fever. She cut that story short, and it took her a good minute to continue on, changing topics onto the culture of her village. The emotions that came with her thoughts didn't return to what they were though, as if she brought forth memories that were better left forgotten.

Moving on from it, she spoke of how children were left to play under the care of their mothers, and asked to help around the tribe as they got older, to help the elders understand just what they were most likely to do later in life. Typically marriage was arranged, and she went on to speak of how exciting it was to her just how free people could be in choosing their lovers.

As Kai stopped the conversation, many hours later, she nodded, listening intently as Kai explained what she was to do next. Create an illusion, a ball. Seemed simple enough. As she tried to process just how to do it in her head, the concept eluded her for quite some time. Words, and voices she could plant, even influences. But an actual shape? It seemed almost impossible to her. She paused, closing her eyes as she extended her hand. Possibly she could do what she did before, put something she already knew in her mind, and fit in into Kai's....

Except she couldn't come up with anything in the shape of a ball. Her legs crossed, she bent her back forward, her face full of her concentration and frustration at the complexity of the task. She couldn't do a ball... Yet she needed to, it's what Kai had asked of her. She had to work her way up to the ball, first she had to do something on a much easier scale for her. Her hands closed partly, as if she was holding something thin and long. Her hands adjusted as she remembered the proper length of a spear, it's diameter, it's straightness... She sat there for several minutes, first creating the image of its appearance in her own mind, granting it a place in her thoughts, in her hands as if she was actually holding it.

It was a start, it was something she could work with at least. Her mind probed towards Kai's again, slowly and carefully, more of a second thought than anything, her focus mainly on keeping the image as perfect as she could in her head. Feeling her connection establish to her friend, she pushed the image forward, using the method she had before of sending a message. It took a moment, but it worked, after almost an hour of her focusing on the task, unmoving and entranced in her own thoughts, but it would appear as if something was being held in Asheek's hands to Kai.

It was a shaky image, with many giveaways of its false properties, the lack of a shadow, it's wavy appearance, but, on the positive side, and more importantly, it was there. Asheek's concentration didn't waver, no matter how exhausted she had become. She had been tasked to create an illusion, and she was dead set on finding out how to do it.

It felt nice to communicate with the Togruta telepathically; she had so many stories to tell, and Kai enjoyed hearing them all even though her telepathy was a little shaky at first. Kai didn't mind the initial difficulties, it was to be expected, and he was surprised with just how quickly she seemed to overcome her problems. He enjoyed hearing how she found the new Galaxy she had entered after leaving Shili, about her hunts, about children, mothers, her tribe, marriage. She mentioned her father briefly, but Kai felt a twinge whens he brought it up causing him to frown. She quickly moved on from the subject and Kai guessed that whatever it was, she didn't particularly enjoy it. Maybe when they become better friends she would open up, but he didn't want to make the young woman feel uncomfortable or on the spot. Especially not during training.

Then they moved on to illusions once Kai felt she had telepathy down. Sensing how hard Asheek was working made Kai happy, Asheek was probably one of his favorites as far as Padawans go. She was easy to teach, and despite her cultural handicap seemed to be quite intelligent, and the most determined and hard working Padawan he had ever met. She would become a fantastic knight one day, he was sure of it. Kai didn't mind waiting on Asheek, he was rather surprised how she had just taken to trying to make an illusion. And as the time passed, Kai entertained himself with creating illusions of his own, checking in on Asheek to see how she was progressing with her own illusion.

By the time the woman had managed to manifest the illusion of a spear much time had passed. Taking a deep breath, Kai looked at the spear and smiled. "Good Asheek, very good. I can sense you want to try and improve on it, and you will get the chance, but it is getting late and I want to move on with other lessons. You can practice illusions any time during the coming days when you have the chance. Now, it's getting dark, and I think it is a good time to stretch out legs and exercise for a little, don't you? Let's practice some art of movement before we move on to the next lesson."

With that Kai grinned widely at the Togruta and started off jumping into the lowest branches of the nearest tree, turning about to beckon her to follow him. "C'mon now, see if you can beat me!" It was a challenge Kai was almost certain the young woman wouldn't be able to resist. Starting off into the woods he would run for a good hour at great speed, pushing the limits of his body and of his use of the Force in the fading light. As the sun was almost completely behind the horizon when they started, they would have to rely on the Force to sense and see the branches much more than with their own eyes; it was part of the challenge. When they returned to the clearing, Kai was covered in a thin layer of sweat and was quite hot even in the cool evening air. Taking off his outer garments so he could cool off and dry without feeling sticky, he looked to the Togruta. "Feel free to grab some food and drink for dinner, we'll be starting our next lesson once it's cool off a bit more."

After helping himself to a few of the meal packs he had brought with him along with two full canteens of water, Kai walked out to the beach. This time of year on Kothlis, the nights got rather cold, as did the ocean. Perfect for what he wanted to teach Asheek next. Sending a telepathic message to Asheek, he bade her join him on the beach. When she arrived, he smiled. "For our next lesson we'll have to remove most of our clothing and wade into the ocean water. It's going to be very cold. If we stay out there for too long we could get hypothermia, which is why I'm going to teach you the skill Tapas. Are you ready?"

Nodding as Kai decided to end the illusion training for now, she stood up and stretched her legs, ready for whatever was going to come next. Though tired, the exotic Togrutan had more than enough endurance to keep going. The Art of Movement was something she had learned quite a while ago, and it was certainly one of her favorite things to use, as she went as far as to include it in her lightsaber fighting by following the Ataru style above others. She had planned on using the Art of Movement for hunting in the future, though when she had attempted it more recently... She found herself unsure of it, feeling as if it gave her an advantage in hunting that she did not deserve.

Still, happy to train with it a bit more, she was more than willing to meet Kai's challenge. Leaping after him into the trees, trying to meet his speedy pace. He would find himself quite a bit ahead of her as she stretched out her legs that had been crossed for many hours, but it didn't take her long to begin to catch up. She seemed to be taking turns and sharp corners oddly, often jumping early and landing right against the tree on the branches... If Kai noticed this, he would be able to figure out that each time she did this, she got just a bit closer.

She was taking the challenge of speed as if it was a hunt, staying close to Kai by literally chasing him, cutting corners that she knew he would take, yet keeping her distance all the same. Her lungs were rapidly taking in and expelling air, fueling her powerful legs to keep her movement fueled. As time went on, she kept on the pace on Kai, speeding up as he did, and slowing herself as he did. As they sped past a series of close together branches, she put her weight on one that was unable to hold her weight.

It snapped, and her food, as well as her weight, began to fall. However, this time, she was not going to allow herself to mess up again, like she had the first time. As she fell, she put her weight forward, her body starting to go horizontal as her hands grabbed the branch in front of her. She swung her legs around, moving the force through her body, putting power in her swing as her hands released, sending her in an odd angle. She landed ungracefully, her feet making solid, hard contact with a more firm branch. It took her a moment to keep going, and Kai had gotten ahead once more, but with a deep breath, she quickly got back into her rhythm.

As they once more reached the beach, she took the few minutes of rest that Kai had allowed her to regain her breath, collecting her thoughts and allowing her body to recover from the taxing exercise. Looking down at her clothes, she figured that the one layer of robe-like attire wouldn't be fit for what he wanted. Reaching over to her bag, she pulled out another set, that covered much less, with little to nothing hanging down, as opposed to the poncho like hide that she currently wore.

Pulling off her current clothes, she either didn't notice Kai standing just a few feet away or simply didn't realize that it might be inappropriate. She was nude for only a few seconds before pulling on her second pair of clothes. Turning back to Kai, she followed him towards the beach, eager to slip into the cool water after sweating intensely for over an hour. "Of course!"

As they changed, Kai noticed out of the corner of his eyes Asheek removing her clothing, which is what he expected, but as he registered what seemed to be an alarming amount of red skin. Turning his head to look, his eyes took in her completely nude form, his jaw dropping as his cheeks flushed a very red crimson. He tried to speak, but his words got caught in his throat. As she slipped on her very simple, barely modest garments, his eyes took in her lean and muscular form, her very prominent and distinct buttocks, and the rest of her that he could see from the back-side angle he was standing at. The knight hadn't really meant to stare, but when an attractive female just dropped her clothes within a few meters of a warm-blooded male, it's hard not to stare. In Kai's case he was largely shocked, partially horrified, and very curious why she had decided to just unclothe right next to him.

Blinking a little at her as she moved towards the water as she exclaimed her readiness to get into the cold water. "Uhh, Asheek? What was that? Were you trying to give your poor teacher a heart attack there? If you needed to strip, you could have hopped behind a tree for a moment." He remarked as he followed her into the dark ocean water, his cheeks still flushed from what he had witnessed. Realizing that the young alien female might not realize what he was talking about, he clarified. "Y-ya know, normally most people don't get naked in front of others unless they're planning on having sex. Don't get me wrong, you have a perfectly fine body, I just wasn't expecting to, uh, well, see that much of it. At least not like this anyways."

Wading in, Kai led Asheek so that they would be treading the water, moving with the small swells so they could stand without drowning or getting a wave crashing over their heads. He'd let the water do its job first, sapping their warmth and making them very cold before he would start the lesson proper. It might make it a little more difficult, but Kai knew that Asheek would be up for the challenge, she always was, and she always rose to the occasion. "Alright, so for starters," Kai smiled as his teeth start clattering. "You'll want to draw the Force in, and keep it in your core, here." He pointed to his heart.

She turned to look at him as he addressed her, a confused look on her face, followed by one of worry. Had she cooked the food wrong? What did he mean by giving him a heart attack? Were humans not able to eat wood fire cooked meat that well?... Her look of worry vanished as he went on to comment on her disrobing, and her face just showed an odd look of confusion. Walking into the cold water, she just couldn't seem to figure out what she had done wrong. Had she done something offensive?

"Y-ya know, normally most people don't get naked in front of others unless they're planning on having sex. Don't get me wrong, you have a perfectly fine body, I just wasn't expecting to, uh, well, see that much of it. At least not like this anyways."

With that comment, she burst out laughing, stopping her progress from venturing further out. Apparently she had found something about that statement, or several things, amusing. Still laughing, she turned to him, a bright smile on her red and white face. "Sex? Just from being naked?" She let out another few giggles. "Your culture is weird!" She claimed, turning back towards the deeper water, her pace picking back up. It was almost ironic, the tribal woman calling Kai's culture strange. "Is that why your women wear shirts and hefty clothing all the time? Is exposing that much flesh really that suggestive?" It didn't seem like she really understood it, and found it more laughable than anything. Something about how she was acting really did push across the feeling that it actually was funny to her, maybe it was her accent pushing into her laugh harshly, her words clouded by it as it rose.

As time passed, she brooded over the thought of what Kai said, occasionally snickering or grinning. The sexual part of it wasn't what she found funny, it was that humans, and most likely other species, were so sensitive about nudity. Didn't they have dances and rituals they would preform to show affection to one another? It seemed silly to her that cultures wouldn't have some form of mating or relationship ritual. After all, that's how she had been raised, being taught various dances of many meanings, knowing what kinds of gifts meant different kinds of intentions.... But... What if these foreign species just didn't have those rituals? How did they know the devotion of their potential lovers? It was all confusing to her.

Then, as if the worrisome thought had vanished, her mind replayed what Kai had said. "...At least not like this anyways?" She repeated, turning to Kai with a mocking grin, no doubt teasing him for his choice of words. Her joy on the matter was almost childish, a more playful side of the Togrutan.

After the conversation had concluded, with Asheek still believing herself to have done nothing suggestive, she listened intently to Kai as he explained what to do, trying to hide her own shivers. Her body being cold, that she could handle, she could bundle herself up into a small ball if she needed to if she needed to save heat. But the worse part as the warmth slowly sapped from her body was her headtails. Floating lazily in the cold, wavy water, it almost stung how quickly the heat from the sensitive body parts vanished into the greedy water. At least she could hug her front two head tails to her chest, but she had no such luck for the one behind her, resting against her back.

Her teeth chattering, she nodded, closing her eyes as she tried to as he instructed. Pull the force into yourself. Taking her own aura of the force from around her, she began to mold it, her hands moving around themselves, rubbing against her knuckles to warm them, using the motion to aid her influence. Compact it, bring it inside. She could feel it's invisible pressure inside her, the force held in her core, flowing through her body like her blood.... Still, it didn't make her any warmer.

"Perhaps we are, Asheek... but that's how we are..." Kai smiled, blushing a little as he continued on. "It is. We generally only see the other sex naked unless we're going to mate with them. I guess it is just part of our culture and society. But we don't typically disrobe in front of others unless... well, unless we expect something more to happen. There are occasions when this isn't true. Like if we were good friends and knew nothing would ever come, or if this was like a military unit and we had to shower together, but outside of those situations it doesn't typically happen."

The knight could see the rather confused look on Asheek's face as she tried to figure it out, and he realized that he had confused the poor young female more than she had been initially. Smiling, and taking a small breath he went on. "See, part of our culture, our mating rituals say that we generally don't see the other naked until we're ready to have sex. The courtship typically involves dating, or going out on social excursions with each other. Talking and learning more about each other, finding things both parties like to enjoy, especially together. Then the physical side includes things like holding hands, kissing, hugging and cuddling. Eventually, all of those things lead up to the clothes coming off, well if there's the right chemistry anyways, if you don't like someone like that then you don't like someone like that, and it's probably not going to happen... what's it like in your culture?"

Kai would listen to Asheek explain how the Togruta of her tribe if she wished to share it, then he would endure her teasing remark and mocking grin about his apparent slip up when he mentioned he didn't expect to see her in this sort of situation. In his defense Kai raised up his hands and shrugged, "I'm sorry, alright? You're pretty. I was just making an innocent comment, not like I'm actually expecting anything to happen with you or us or whatever."

Once they were fully emerged in the water, and both Kai and Asheek could feel the cold ocean sapping away their warmth and strength, Kai continued their lesson. "With the Force being drawn in, you must constantly focus and concentrate your mind to turn that cosmic energy into physical warmth for your body. As always, listen and trust in the Force; it will guide you when you get lost or are unsure what to do. It will keep you alive when all else fails. Focus your mind, use that Force energy and instead of using it to push or move something, turn it into warmth. It's already inside of you so you just have to warm yourself up with it. Give it a try and let me know."

Asheek shook her head, smiling. "Courtship was... Different. Marriage came into play, as I'm sure it does in your culture. In... Some ways. I think." From what Kai had told her, Asheek had begun to question just how much marriage mattered to people like him, if at all. "Arranged marriage was really common, I didn't think much of it. It was mainly for building bonds and trust between tribes... Heh. I was actually put in an arranged marriage before. It got cancelled, but the planning of it got pretty far." She explained.

"Well... Sex before marriage was generally frowned upon, but sex wasn't really... With your spouse. Well, you certainly could if you want, but my tribe decided that arrange marriage would end up with a happy tribe and an unhappy couple. It would just cause more trouble later on. So both people in the marriage would have... Uh..." She blushed, well, a Togrutans version of it. The blue stripes of her headtails seem to brighten in color briefly. "...Concubines. I even had a small list! That's how far the marriage got before the differences of the tribes were too great to solve."

"But obviously, nudity didn't really relate to sex, mating, or anything of that. It was just that, nudity." She added, moving on from the obviously embarrassing topic. "Mating usually entailed a bit like, a rather complex... Dance, as you would call it." She seemed to have trouble finding the word at first, and seem unsure if 'dance' was a proper translation for what she wanted to express.

Asheek focused, taking deep breaths as the cold war sapped her strength. It was distracting, and her fingers felt a bit numb, her head tails felt ten times that. Still, she closed her eyes, finding her balance to stay floating yet not moving away. She held up the force inside her, trying to do as Kai commanded. For several minutes, she struggled, sending ripples through the water, warming the water... But not herself. She was shivering, several minutes later, still unable to bring warmth to herself.

Suffice to say, she was becoming frustrated. It wasn't something that was coming easy to her. Was she doing something wrong? Shaking her head, clenching her teeth, Asheek let out a deep sigh, trying to calm her nerves. Slowly, quite a while after she had started, her chest started to feel hot, as if heat was coming from her. She hoped it was actually the Force, and not some sign of sickness from sitting in ice cold water this long. It slowly spread through her body, and she clenched her hands into fists, hugging her headtails close to her to try and preserve heat. "It's... Working... K-Kinda..." She mumbled to Kai. Though she could feel warmth spreading in her, it wasn't much compared to the cold, sapping strength of the water around them.

"A dance? Well now I'm curious," Kai chuckled a little, at that as he looked at the Togruta noticing how the blue stripes on her headtails seemed to become slightly more noticeable in the dim light and wondering if that was the Togrutan version of a blush. He could feel the slight embarrassment from the young woman through the Force and decided not to comment on it to save her any further humiliation. "Those are definitely some interesting customs though I have to say. We don't normally take concubines, since most marriages are done out of love, taking on another partner is looked on as a betrayal of trust, or as a sign of inadequacy and disrespect... But yeah, for us nudity is usually shared between intimate couples... and well marriage is usually something that is undertaken as a testament of love and willingness to have a family together. Not always, mind you, but often times that is the reasoning behind it in many parts of the Galaxy. Of course, there are exceptions like your planet, or on a world with a rigid caste system or a very complex aristocracy, but for the most part marriage is about personal compatibility rather than alliances or political gains..."

Pausing he looked to Asheek for a moment before he asked, his voice curious and sincere, "So, now that you're no longer in an arranged marriage, how do you feel about the concept? What do you think you will do when you find someone you like? Are you still going to be married off for your clan?"

Together they floated in the cold water for several minutes, Kai focusing on the Force and letting the cosmic energy feed his body and strengthen himself, warming it and preventing hypothermia from setting in. The knight could sense Asheek nearby, and he hoped that she was doing okay, he got the distinct sensation from her that she was having a little bit of trouble, if the very clear cold feeling he was sensing from her through the Force was indicator. He could also sense her frustrations, and he wanted to say to calm down and focus, but he felt that the encouragement would have done little for the female alien. After a minute he could sense the Togrutan calming herself down, and he knew that she was on the same page as he was. There was no need to say anything. After a few more minutes he heard her voice call out, her words were broken up, mumbled as she did her best to communicate that the technique was working. With a smile on his face he nodded, for what it was worth, and said, "Good Asheek, good! Keep it up. We'll do this until you feel like you can use the Force to keep you warm for a good while longer. One time Jade and I went to Orto Plutonia and got caught in a blizzard during a search for a lightsaber crystal... well, Tapas helped me from freezing to death out on the harsh wasteland." He chortled slightly as he closed his eyes and felt his body rock and move with the waves.

Kai let time pass until Asheek told him she had accomplished what he had asked, and together they would swim back towards the beach. Grabbing a large thick blanket, Kai wrapped Asheek's red shoulders so she wouldn't lose any more heat and got to working on stoking the fire. "I hope you're doing okay, do you need anything? We won't be doing any more lessons today, so feel free to relax, talk, or go to sleep. Or whatever really. We'll continue our lessons in the morning with Tutaminis. Sound good?"

Thinking for a moment, Asheek frowned. She had never really thought of relationships recently. How would it happen? She wasn't aware that she couldn't even attempt to initiate anything. And honestly, the thought of doing so caused a small flutter in her chest, it was an ounce of freedom she never knew she had. "I... Hm. Well, Since I've moved off-world, even if I move back to my clan... I probably won't fit the role of the traditional bride." She replied. "But.. Honestly, I've never thought about it. I'm not sure what I'd do. I just assumed that the same customs of the... Dance existed elsewhere, or at least would be recognizable." She added, realizing how silly her assumption had sounded.

After a short while, her improvements of keeping her heat within her slowed, until she continuously was only able to preserve so much of her own body heat. It didn't take long for her to speak out in a shaky breath. "I.. Think we should h-head back in.." As much as she hated to admit it, she was absolutely freezing. She wasn't sure if she could take much more. Assuming Kai agreed with her, she would slowly pull herself back towards shore, her stiff limbs shaking in the ice cold water. She crossed her arms once more, hugging her head tails to her chest.

She sat down, pulling her knees to her chest in front of the fire. Or, what was left of it when they got there. Feeling the thick, warm blanket suddenly cover her shoulders and back, she nodded to Kai, glancing up. "T-Thanks, I needed that." She spoke, moving about a bit so she could wrap the blanket around herself, so it would cover her feet and legs. She was sure to snugly slip her head tails inside the blanket, practically wrapping up most of her body in a small, warm ball near the fire.

She nodded as Kai told her what they would work on tommorow, it certainly seemed fair. Exhausted, even if she wanted to stay up and do something else, Asheek rested her head against a patch of grass, leaning on her side in a more loose ball, having stretched out a bit more near the hot fire. Closing her eyes, it didn't take long for sleep to overtake her.
