Trial RP

Not sure how this would turn out so I thought I'd go pitch my idea and get some input on it.
The thread would focus on the trial of some NPC. The NPC is being charged with murder, though no one actually saw the act, but did see the NPC leaving the vacinity of the murder scene. Basically, writers will get the chance to have a character testify what they saw, either in a manner that incriminates the NPC or defends the NPC. The final verdict (and OOCly whether he's innocent) won't be determined until after the testimonies have been presented. Writers are allowed to write for the attorneys on both sides. I'll present more details once I've decided on specifics and once I've got some input from people so I can get a good idea of how to make this go.

Sounds good. But I would suggest that this be placed in the Diverse area. The idea for a courtroom drama is interesting. Though I would suggest that an admin please move this thread.

may be a tribunal or two popping up at some point too if whispers are correct. I would love seeing these little day to day affairs of regular life things, fleshes out the galaxy more.

There's no reason for this to be in the Diverse OOC board, as this idea would work just fine in the normal story board.

As a note, I might be interested in getting in on this with my former Cop char, Dalang. I do think it'd be beneficial to RP out the actual murder though, or for the RP's organizer to set up a list of 'facts' about the case and distribute a handful of facts to each participating character, that way you don't get one person testifying that the killer was the energizer bunny using a neutron ray gun, while another is swearing up and down that the murderer was a sentient slipper wielding a rubber knife.

I plan to have a skeletal form of what happened. it would then be up to the writers to pieces these pieces together and give them life
