An order of peace keepers who just decided they were going crusading. The Jedi would not negotiate an entire planet full of their own archives. Dashin would be a real idiot to do this, if that's even what Dakar will be proposing. He's been messing around with us for some time now, and even I do not know what he's doing.

The Republic is nothing without Coruscant? Give the Sith Ossus for Coruscant (they want it for a reason... this is not a good thing for us........duh), and the Republic will still be nothing. It's a smart move for Provin, but not for the Jedi, and especially not for the Republic. "Yay, we get Coruscant back, but now we're surrounded by Sith, and we just gave them that entire library on Ossus with all the Jedi's knowledge.... shucks."

Has anyone ever thought about this....Coruscant is a city planet with little to no way to support itself. It must ship in it's own resources to feed and provide for those that call it home. Other than it being the center or former center of the Republic, it has very little to offer. The Sith never took over the Senate so why would they want it? Seriously think, people. ;)

Also, does anyone have a game plan other than attacking? We seem rather uncoordinated....

This Jedi part is very uncoordinated. Nothing here, nothing in the Republic section.

The other two battles are coordinated though.

Even my Mando chick knows nothing. I'm completely in the dark here. Only faction leaders and Admin seem to know what's the deal.

Mandos aren't really doing anything but back up at this point. For the Corellia battle.

Shouldn't we have a gameplan on strategy of attack, who's going to go after what? Coordinated attacks instead of random things here and there and hope it all works out for the best?

Don't announce that you've arrived or anything. Make it a surprise attack, and be sure to immediately take out their communication and their transportation. If they can't call for help and they can't leave, they're at a serious disadvantage.

Alright, i'll admit we're a little in the dark as to stretegy. I thought about this long and hard, and came up with the following as a battleplan for Korriban. If there are any issues, or if you want to offer alternatives, feel free.

The forces will drop out of hyperspace aimed directly at Korriban. Any forces defending the Sith facilities will be backed up against Korriban's own atmosphere and gravity pull, and IC-2 gravity well generators will effectively trap the Sith naval forces. On dropping out of hyperspace, we'll follow standard procedure and jamm their signals as the IC-2s unload all fighter squadrons. Squadrons lead by Jedi will lead bomber squadrons to attack the Sith capital line from 45 degree angles, cutting in to their flanks and engaging any interceptor forces, while regular intercepting forces will defend our own capital lines. At the same time, Our capital ships will engage at near maximum range with their beam cannon arrays - which have a considerably greater yield and longer range than standard turboaser technology - while holding ground, forcing the Sith to move forward to engage us, which then allows us to use our own turbolaser batteries against them.

As soon as victory becomes a likely outcome, regular interceptor squadrons will replace Jedi squads in intercept duties, while the Jedi-lead squadrons will then provide escort for dropships, cleaning up any existing anti-air defences (if there are any), and making landing in the Valley of the Dark Lords. From there, the primary objective of the ground forces will be to secure the Sith Temple.

Of course, if Provin is on the battlefield, either in space or on the ground, then our primary objective is to capture or remove the threat factor of his existance, killing him if necessary.

But if Provin isn't there...what do we do with Korriban? I mean...it's filled with the Dark Side of the Force...are we gonna free it from the darkness or something?

No, just take the world. Make the Sith retreat like they did to Coruscant.

Honestly, would we want to take the planet? We wouldn't want to leave anyone on the planet holding it. Remember the dark energies that Revan and the others had felt? Staying for long on that planet and not being disciplined would lead to all sorts of problems. Besides, what does Korriban have that we really want to hang onto? Sure, we could have people search out the tombs if we really wanted to, but that would be dangerous as well. It's better to just blow the academy up and leave it.

It's all about the psychological effects. The Jedi, the sworn enemies of the Sith, and inferior beings just destroyed the defenses and drove you off your ancestral capital, and now are tainting it with their presence. This'll anger them into a frenzy, and that's when they are most vulnerable.

Strategically it makes no sense, though. We don't have the resources to keep it and hold it. We're still rebuilding our Order. Destroying their academy and the tombs would have the same effect on them without risking our Jedi being tainted.

What makes you think we won't destroy the tombs? We could carpet bomb the valley after we secured the planet. It's all about psych war. And anyways, ask Boli what we'll do with it. He's not realy elaborated at all.

I will say this, if we're planning on staying on Korriban, Khaluq will object forcefully and possibly refuse to do so. There's no need for it and we're needed elsewhere in the galaxy. Our padawans and Jedi Knights deserve better as well as the Republic.

I'd suggest only a few, strong willed Jedi stay on Korriban for any length of time. And not Dusan, his past experience as a Sith could become a problem.

I knwo I really haven't said much on the matter of Korriban, and I suppose it's time to enlighten you all, so here's the gist of my amazingly cunning plan:

Basically, we kick the Sith off of Korriban, cutting them off from their teachings, and the Dark Force nexus. We're not founding an academy on Korriban, we're just preventing the Sith from establishing themselves there again, as it's far too easy for them to come into power there.

So, the whole dealy is: 1) Kick the Sith off of Korriban, 2) loot their training facilities to prevent them from rediscovering the Sith teachings, 3) haul ass and have the Republic place it as a restricted area, setting up an outpost to prevent the return of Sith. After the Jedi have taken what they need to from the tombs and facilities, I doubt anyone would have any reason to go anywhere near those places again, so anyone and everyone would most likely be forcibly prevented from entering the area.
