It sat there calling to Kai. The Grysk stared with his grinning face leering at the chop shop. For the past hour he had been watching from an alleyway, smoking a cigara in the shadow along with a cohort, Kaarz. They looked like any other duo of Nar Shaddaa slummers. <"Keep that truck runnin"> He said in Huttese to a commlink. Bruggan was another block further away with a TN-Y speeder truck probably bored out of his mind. <"You got it."> He replied

The move on the chop shop was going to happen soon. He knew that it was a quiet day, less activity than normal so that was in their favor. The repair hangar had a large outdoor landing pad where a light freighter could land. It held three broken down air speeders though adding to the appearance that the place was a repair shop. Kai and company knew better than that. Inside there was enough space and facilities to dismantle a ship though from the recon Kai, or one of his goons, learned that they were only using it for speeders for the time being. The whole area was run down and only used for industrial purposes usually.

He would speak basic just to make sure that Kaarz could understand. Kai was not sure if the man spoke Huttese. "Alright, they've got droids that do most of the work. Blast'em if you gotta but we want these droids for us. Take them offline at the control switch. The rest...whatever." A casual tone and a shrug followed the order. The only person of note inside was the owner as far as Kai knew. The off chance that there were a couple of the organic beings that serviced the chop shop would be dealt with in this hostile take over. The Grysk imagined some greasy mechanics trying to come at him with wrenches. It made him chuckle causing a poof of smoke to come out with the humorous thought.

The covert Legionnaire had yet to decide if he wanted to do it 'hold up style' or an even more aggressive method. "This is where we start making a name for ourselves on Nar Shaddaa. Let's make sure we earn the reputation we want eh?" He gestured towards Kaarz to make sure he was paying attention.

Kai checked the charge on his blaster pistol. His shoulders rolled feeling the short vibro sword that had its handle poking over his left shoulder. He unzipped his hoodie and underneath he had a slung E-11 blaster out of sight. Checking it, he zipped it back up. Rarely did he use that or the sword but this seemed like some more firepower might be needed. Of course he could always drop either of them. The same went for the backpack. "You about ready to move?" He asked, dropping the cigara to the ground and stomping it out. The mask in his backpack had yet to be put on. Kai was not sure if he even cared about anyone knowing it was him.

Another day, another job. Whether it was to pose as hired muscle, a bouncer, debt collector, or just to stand there menacingly, Kaarz always took the job. One didn't find credits on the street after all, they found them in the sweaty palm of the next crime lord or corrupt official looking for an edge over their competitors. As long as they had credits, Kaarz didn't care. So when the strange alien Malakai, or rather Kai as he insisted on, offered a relatively well paying job to take over some grimy chop shop he jumped at the chance.

Kaarz was fiddling with his vibro-dagger when Kai spoke up about droids and reputation. The mans voice carried him out of his zone, nearly making his drop the knife as he carefully balanced it on his hand. Sighing, he carefully placed it back in it's sheath on his lower back, before he unslung his E-11 from his shoulder and prepped it. There was something magical about a well tended weapon. The sleek oiled perfection of the barrel, the smoothness of the trigger, and the sight of a freshly changed power-pack were all enough to bring a tear to a mans eye.

When Kai asked finally about Kaarz's preparedness the black-armored mercenary merely nodded. He had been ready since earlier this morning, just itching for a chance to let his well-cared for E-11 loose. Switching the safety off, Kaarz took his weapon in both hands and slowly crept to the mouth of the alleyway.

The chop shop didn't seem like much to him, but the building seemed to illicit much excitement in his employer. Business and criminal enterprises never interested him, being the man to make sure no one got in such things ways was however. Kaarz looked back towards Kai and nodded at the building.

"Save the droids, send the rest to hell, got it. We doing this silent? Or would you rather a grand entrance?"

Smoke filled the ceiling of the small office as Preef leisurely puffed on his cigarra, "I'm telling you Kholvar-" (@Logan) the young rodian opened up his palms to the air, "-from Darmus' hangar here you can ferry whatever goods you got straight to that Hutt of yours." Four feet away from him sat a somewhat anxious looking Sullustan, who, despite frowning over the use of his hangar without asking him beforehand, didn't feel comfortable declining anything to the giant Triani. The rodian then motioned towards the chop-shop owner with a kind gesture, "For a fee, ofcourse. Say-" Preef smiled and made a show of looking at his holstered blaster, "-five credits?"

The Sullustan could only nod. If the young rodian hadn't been a member of the Crimson Dawn he'd have his droids blast the damned frog off the moon. Unfortunately the Crimson Dawn had more or less owned him and his shop for years and killing one of them would be the same as killing yourself.

From the live CCTV footage inside the office, Preef suddenly noticed a ship touching down on the landing pad and he turned a questioning eye towards Darmus, "You said nobody used that pad." Snuffing the cigarra and motioning for Kholvar to watch the feed as well, Preef rose from his leisurely position and unholstered his pistol.

The smell of Preef's cigarras hit Kholvar's nose and made it scrunch a little. It wasn't like he was a prude or anything, he smoked too, but whatever the Rodian had smelled.. cheap and a little acrid. Kholvar made a mental note to show Preef the tobac shop he usually went to. They'd be able to put him on the right path as far as quality smokeables were concerned.

"Oh I'm sure we could kick back a little more to him," Kholvar said with a sly grin, glancing over at Darmus. The Sullusten looked positively rife with anxiety, not that anyone could blame him. Two Five Syndicate goons hanging out in your office would make anyone a little nervous. "We could spare ten credits at least, I'm sure."

Kholvar noticed the ship landing on the CCTV as well, but instead of taking the causally threatening approach, he rounded on Darmus in nearly an instant. Gripping the small Sullusten by his collar, Kholvar lifted him clean off the ground, slamming the poor man's back into the wall so roughly that it caused the cheap plaster to crack.

"Who is landing?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. He was so close to Darmus' face that the Sullusten could probably tell what Kholvar had for lunch. The large Trianni bared his massive fangs, a deep growl forming in the base of his throat like an impending eruption.

"I-I-I don't know!" Darmus managed to squeak out, his feet dangling uselessly beneath him. "G-go kill them, I don't care. I promise I don't know!"

Kholvar let Darmus drop to the ground, drawing his blaster and heading for the door. "Stay here, Sullusten. We are not done talking." Turning to Preef, Kholvar cocked his head towards the exit. "Lets go give our friends a warm welcome, eh?"

Making his way out of the office, Kholvar headed for the catwalk that overlooked the main area. Observation before murder was generally a recipe for success.

At the question Kai took another look at the covert chop shop. Then he caught the motion of something coming down through the atmosphere. "A new delivery?" The Grysk said and scrutinized the arriving ship. "Nah, doesn't look like one of the ships they'd try to move." That meant it was a third party entirely. "Let's get closer." Boldly, Kai had a feeling that the ship and its occupants might be enough to distract those inside the illegal hangar.

The Sith Eternal member closed his eyes and waited for some kind of sign at what was best to do next. He saught guiadance. A voice came back. Go now. The Grysk launched himself around the corner and towards the building, closing his distance from another side of the building than the pad was on. The application of force speed to sprint the distance aided in him not being caught for the time being. The Tiranii would have been moving at this point and the Rodian looking away from the CCTV. The Force, the Shadow, whatever it was called, told him at least something that was useful from time to time.

Against a wall but out of sight of any further security cameras Kai looked back to see if Kaarz made it closer as he had or if he was remaining at a distance. "Move a block closer Bruggan. There might be more bodies here than we expected." His raspy voice whispered into his comlink.

When Kai moved so did Kaarz. Moving fast and low he followed in Kai's footsteps in order to avoid the CCTV camera. While he did not know what compelled Kai to move when he did, he did not question the hand that dealt the credits. Questions were, after all, below his pay grade, and would only serve to tighten the hand around his eventual score.

Kaarz closed the distance at a remarkable speed, though he could not match his employers seemingly supernatural speed. He was a few steps behind when he got behind the same wall as Kai. Unbeknownst to him both pairs of eyes that had been watching the CCTV camera had been preoccupied with the landing shuttle to notice the black-armored merc sprinting at full speed towards the building.

Looking over to Kai, Kaarz nodded to the the chop-shops shabby door. It a small distance away, but it would likely not pose any issue to the two men. In a whisper Kaarz said

"Waiting on your call boss. Ship is a new problem though, but could also could turn a profit or be a timely asset."

Still standing in the small office and hovering over Darmus as the Sullustan's increasing anxiety made him smaller and smaller, Preef nodded in reply to Kholvar. "Here I thought I was getting you exclusive landing rights-" he sighed angrily and turned to follow Kholvar onto the catwalk, "-but you really can't anyone on Nar Shaddaa." He watched the ship land and its ramp go down, but only with mild interest while he looked around the shop. "Maybe he's actually hoarding spice here for some rival syndicate?" the rodian wondered out loud, although if he had been there would've been rival enforcers breaching the doors any second to prevent the Crimson Dawn taking their stockpile. Or maybe, Preef wondered, it was the Hutts and Kholvar was already in on it...

Distracted by his own line of thought he checked the droids, of which there were plenty on the ground floor both working and patrolling in case of unwanted visitors, rusty parts and disassembled speeders, but no suspicious looking crates that could contain spice or slaves. "Maybe he misstook this landing pad for another?"

The Sullustan owner had made his way to the door of his office, still anxious but less so than when the rodian had been ready to murder him, and seemed to readily agree; "Must be! I am loyal to the Crimson Dawn, I promise!"

From his perch on the catwalk, Kholvar peered down to scope out the main level of the facility. Mostly droids going to and from amidst rusted out speeders and the like, nothing really that interesting. Whoever had landed at the pad was either taking their good old time finding their way, or were doing their best to remain hidden. Either way, Kholvar found their approach tiresome and boring.

Gripping the railing, the large feline went up and over, falling gracefully down to the ground and landing on both of his feet with a heavy thud. His eyes scanned around again, but still he didn't find anything that seemed out of the ordinary. Pistol still in hand, Kholvar went out into one of the more open areas where his voice would carry the furthest.

"We know you are here," He started, his low, booming voice raspy with annoyance. "This is Hutt Clan territory, friends. I suggest you get back into your ship and go now, unless you'd prefer I send your body parts back to your mothers in individual boxes."

Kholvar's eyes were on the door of the shop, the only real entrance to the place from where the mystery ship had landed. The thunderous noise of his voice would carry through to anything on the other side, surely. It wasn't like this piece of shit place was sound proofed or anything.

"You've got five seconds to decide before I make the choice for you. I can have that ship of yours stripped to pieces in a few minutes flat - I'm sure I've got some Jawas tucked in a closet somewhere that would love to see some fresh air and get their hands on it."

Kholvar was in no mood to play hide and seek with a couple of morons. Either they'd take his advice and get the kriff out, or they'd show themselves and he'd get to eat their faces off with a side of fava beans and a nice chianti.

From the outside Kai remained against the wall of the chop shop. They were not on the side with the main entrance but were outside of the view of any cameras. No legit broken down hangar or repair shop would have this degree of security. Then came the booming voice of Kholvar inside. Kai could not see him, there were not any windows on the chop shop, at least non that were not painted over or obstructed. Nobody inside wanted anybody outside to be able to look in.

The Grysk waited, partially curious about what the situation was with the newly arrived ship. Clearly they were not friends of the workers inside. Kai closed his eyes and tried to focus and sense how many organics were inside the chop shop. It did not take long. There were only a handful. But he knew there were droids in some capacity that also were inside.

One thing that came to his attention was the startling fear that radiated compared to everything else. Machines felt nothing and whomever was warning the light freighter was full of confidence. The Grysk walked around the building towards where he felt the fear. His mind searched for more information on the source of the fear. A few centimeters of wall divided them but Kai looked at the wall as if he were staring right through it. His gloved hand slide against the surface as if trying to find the thinnest part. But the Grysk was not looking for a way to physically breach, not yet at least.

Searching the mind of an individual, even someone as weak willed as the terrified Sullustan was not something that would happen quickly. But Kai was fine with waiting to see if the chop shop validated the light freighter's parking or not. He did not feel like running in between two potentially trigger happy groups.

Kaarz waited alongside Kai as the latter explored and focused on the wall ahead. Whatever he was doing seemed too esoteric for the black armored mercenary to care about. So long as he got payed and didn't lose a limb, Kaarz didn't ask questions.

The booming voice that resounded from inside the Chop Shop startled Kaarz for a moment. Gripping his E-11 he focused on the entrance, half expecting the owner of the voice to appear suddenly and start blasting. Kaarz continued to stare at the door for a couple of heartbeats before relaxing his hands. Whoever was guarding the place would stay inside, for now at least.

Turning to his current employer Kaarz asked in monotone

"Sounds like they've got some trouble on their hands. I've got my blaster trained on that entrance if anyone comes out and sees us. A bolt or two should be enough."

Raising his E-11 as he spoke, Kaarz turned back to the door. If anyone, armed or otherwise, came out that door and spotted he and Kai, then they would be riddled with two blaster shots before they could yell their position.

Sorry about the delay, College life got busy this week with quizzes and auditions I had to prep for.

There was a moment of deafening silence after Kholvar boomed through the shop, something that only seemed to grab the attention of a few droids, turning theirs heads to mentally scratch their heads in confusion. That is, until another booming voice was heard, this time coming from the newly arrived ship.

"So sorry! OwO-" Preef thought he saw a glimpse of a Shistavenen inside the ship's cockpit. "Please don't call Hutta! We wrong pad we leave! OwO."

True enough only a second later the ship started lifting off again and the chop-shop's hangar was once again free and empty. Preef couldn't help but give an apologetic chuckle as he turned to the Sullustan, "Guess you were right," he said with a shrug and then holstered his blaster, "Should've told us, Darmus, that you weren't expecting visitors. We would've been kinder."

The Sullustan's mental aura flared bright red with the flames of his anger. I told you that, kriffer! Yet, externally, he was as apologetic as ever, "Yes, sir.. sorry sir."

The ship left without much issue and Kholvar was beginning to become bored. He had expected at least a bit of a fight, flinging off some blaster bolts at people even if the fight didn't really pan out to much.

Finding a thick part of the catwalk railing to lean on, Kholvar rolled his eyes. Pulling up his comm, the Trianii couldn't help but sigh with mild discontent. "Why don't you just open the chop shop doors to see if there's anyone still out there. For all we know, the ship was just a distraction for others to move in closer." It took a few moments, but the Sullusten would through the switch to open the main two bay doors in the front of the shop.

For now, Kholvar would keep to his spot. He'd go back to talk to the Sullusten in a few minutes of nothing showed itself. He and Preef were here to do some business after all.

Kai was glad he had not been interrupted. The mind of the owner was filled with worry and relatively easy to manipulate. The dark sider would take whatever advantage the galaxy decided to deal him. Darmus eyes would look unfocused on the other side of the wall as Kai furrowed his brow, intensely trying to influence his immediate state. He whispered under his breath, "I'm angry and want to go home for the day." While he would not hear it on the other side he was pretty sure his mind trick worked. But he did not stop there.

"I'm going to set the droids to recharge." He said as a whisper. A moment later the ship would take off. Some echoed voices that came around the building rather than through the walls indicated the people inside began to resume activity with the vessel no longer present.

Moving back towards Kaarz he waited. The sullusten owner would not need to travel far. He would send the 'return to charging station' call to the droids. They would set down their tools and begin heading back to their charging stations. "I'm going home." The sullusten said with a hint of frustration in his voice.

Kaarz watched with keen interest as Kai moved forward and seemed to focus on something behind the Chop Shop wall. It could be that his boss had a scanner of some sort, or hearing device, and could see what Kaarz currently could not. Shrugging his shoulders he continued to train his E-11 on the door, if anyone came out and noticed the pair they'd have a laser bolt through grey matter before they could warn anyone.

Yawning softly, Kaarz wondered how long the job would truly take. Kai had promised good credits for this gig, and though Kaarz really didn't have anything else to do he'd still like to get some shut eye in. He had been working on and off as a night bouncer at a local cantina, and he always had the long shift; where scum scuttled out of their hiding places and looked to cause trouble. He'd probably have to call Treff and tell him he couldn't take tonight's shift, much to the disappointment of the near-human. The greaseball wouldn't admit it, but Kaarz knew that cantina-owner taken a liking to him and relatively low cost.

Drawing himself out his thoughts of temp-work and long hours, Kaarz turned his head slightly over to Kai, whispering.

"Did you see anything boss? Any signal or obvious target?"

With both Kholvar and Preef looking at him at the same time as the unknown Sith Cultist began invading poor Darmus' mind, the recognition on Preef's part was immediate. The Sullustan's eyes had been fearful and suddenly glazed over as if he had been hit with a seriously potent deathstick. Then his badly animated movements, turning his back towards the two syndicate members, ignoring them completely, and walking over to the droid station. "What the kriff are you-" Preef suddenly looked at Kholvar, "-he's never done something like this before." Probably because turning your back to a member of the five syndicates on Nar Shaddaa meant you'd either get a life-altering beating or a blaster bolt to the knee.

Preef watched the Sullustan issue the order for the droids to return to their charging systems, then utter he was going home before laying himself down on the bed next to his desk. "Darmus!?" the whole scene was freaking Preef the kriff out, "Kholvar what's happening!?" Unbeknownst to Preef, the Trianii probably had a better idea, for he wasn't oblivious to the wide variety of uses for the Force.

Grabbing his blaster, the Rodian ran over to the camera feeds and studied them meticulously. "This is way too strange for the Black Sun," the gunslinger muttered as his mind tried its best to comprehend what exactly was happening. "You see anything strange out there!?"

By the sound of it Kai could hear someone shouting at the Sullustan for being sleepy. They are slave drivers after all. Glad I don't work for the Syndicates. The droids had been powered down and there was just the four of them conscious at the moment.

"Go" He said simply and pressed a hand gently on the mercenary's back to signal. Kai would hold his blaster pistol up as he came around the corner and into the chop shop. He had watched the building before and knew well enough were the office was. "Reach for the sky if you know what's good for you!" He hollered so all two members of the Black Sun could hear him.

His vibro blade was in one hand, ready to slice and dice any daring remnants. Kai's caricature of a demon mask smiled back at either of the two looking back at him. His pistol centered on the primary source of the earlier noise, the second floor office the Rodian had occupied loudly. If the partially visible Roadian did anything that seemed like a hostile act Kai would not hesitate to add a bit of pressure to his trigger and shoot the green skinned man. The strangeness has arrived.

Since Preef had been watching the feeds he had spotted the attacker before they walked through the door and as he knew where that door was relative to himself, the rodian had turned was already and underway to cover by the time the attacker (@Darasuum) fired his blaster. The bolt missed, hitting the wall only a meter above the sleepy Sullustan. He had seen that the attacker wore a mask, which was weird, but he guessed it wasn't that weird for members of the Black Sun to wear masks. What was outrageous was that they apparently thought they could try to take property from other factions in the syndicate and the could do it with force. "Oi kriffer!" he shouted to the lonesome attacker, for the other was nowhere to be seen, "You're outnumbered and attacking Crimson Dawn property!" These Black Sun sure were stupid creatures, if they even were Black Sun. It was rare and jawdroppingly foolish for outsiders to wage war with the Five Syndicates on Nar Shaddaa, after all. Ofcourse, Preef didn't know that shortly after these events the Arcanist would kill multiple Hutts, prompting in a galactic hunt for lightsabers and the arrests of Jedi and other suspiciously masked Force users.

Now in partial cover, Preef had his own blaster at a ready to fire at the attacker but gave him a chance, one chance, to stop his advance and reconsider his declaration of war. Preef could forgive that one badly aimed shot, but he knew that if the attacker would by some miracle manage to overpower the giant Trianii and himself and usurp control of this chop-shop, that the Five Syndicates would retaliate immediately. Despite his generosity he was alert and ready to duck if he were targeted again, "Go now, have some Hutt Shine and we forget about this!"

From his position on the catwalk Kholvar had a pretty decent vantage point of the entire shop floor, so when the masked weirdo barged inside it was pretty easy to spot him. For now, Kholvar remained quiet, using his superior high ground to his advantage and staying hidden.

Drawing his blaster pistol, Kholvar trained it onto Kai while he was focused on Preef. For now, Kholvar was willing to let the little greenskin do whatever form of negotiating he wanted. It was unlikely to work but, hell, you never knew. Maybe they could get the idiots to leave without having to apply too much effort. That would be a refreshing change of pace.

If Kai decided to do anything fishy, Kholvar would unload on him with his blaster. Keeping his wits about him for any possible backup the masked man might have, Kholvar's finger rested on his trigger, twitching with anticipation.

See, I choose NOT to shoot first and they decide to make this hard. I'm way too nice. Next person doesn't get a warning. He walked further into the building, under the solid catwalk that would make it nearly impossible for the Trianii to shoot him by the time he drew his blaster, his own vantage point now being what obstructed his line of fire on the Grysk below. Of course he could always try to move from it and shoot him from some other angle. Malakai's mind wondered where to move next but the back of his mind told him moving in any direction was a risk. So he remained standing without being in either's line of fire though the tight grating of the cat walk still allowed Kholvar to see him, just not shoot for now.

The Rodian shouted at him from cover. It was news to him that the owner was affiliated with the Crimson Dawn. It certainly added a layer of complexity to how he was going to spin this. But then again it was not like Nar Shaddaa was a stable place and was peaceful with all the Five Syndicates living like Bone Bugs n Harmony. The masked Malakai answered the Rodian's warning with another blaster bolt into the cover showing how little his warning mattered.

"You really want to die for a tiny bit of property your boss doesn't even care about? How much are they even paying you for this?" The chop shop was a small business and not particularly a priority it would seem. The Sullustan was likely just associating with the Crimson Dawn in an attempt to deter others. Durmas seemed like the type of man who would by the hype man but not the hype. The way he had overheard the scoundrels talking it did not sound too pleasant to be working for the Crimson Dawn. "You ever thought about finding a new employer?" Naturally he meant himself though he was not sure it was obvious.

Preef didn't understand this attacker. First the guy shoots at him and then he takes cover and tries to talk to the Sullustan as if the pair defending the latter weren't even there. If by some miracle he had overheard the conversation between the two syndicate members and the resting sullustan then he'd surely know they were there not to defend it for the Crimson Dawn, but to protect Kholvar's business interests. Ofcourse, Darmus heard the masked attacker, too, although he had only seem him on the camera feeds and only witnessed the blaster bolt that hit the wall just a meter above his own bed. The Sullustan therefore looked at Preef in no uncertain terms, "Get him the kriff out!" The poor Sullustan was confused as hell. Usually his droids took care of intruders, that's why he had them, but he vaguely remembered shutting them off and then thinking about going home, despite his home being the office in the chop-shop. Neither Preef nor Darmus had any clue about the Force and how it works, so to them the solo intruder wasn't inducing feelings of fear or worry, but utter frustration and the urge to tie him up and give him to a Hutt as an aperitif.

"You Black Sun have some nerve!" Preef shouted back. It was strange, but apparently the intruder thought that he wasn't in the rodian's line of fire, despite just seconds ago planting a bolt against the latter's cover. Fully emerged in cover, Preef simply watched the live camera footage and could see the masked intruder just fine, both the blaster and the vibroblade, too. It struck the young rodian that if both he and Kholvar were to attack at the same time that the masked fool could not take them both out. He'd be a blaster short.

Staying alert and focused on the masked man visible on the camera feeds, Preef had the luxury to wait it out. If the intruder moved and opened himself up, the rodian could blast him. If the attacked realized he was being monitored and decided to turn to towards the camera's in order to disable them, then Preef would see and could likewise quickly shoot him in the back.
