((Note that after it looks full- it is full.))

Abele Hallen sat outside one of the barrack houses on the oh-so-warm-and-cozy Coruscant military base. The ash of a cigarette sat in a tray on top of an overturned trashcan. Around it sat two soldiers, one was the woman raised Corellia that returned to her birthplace for work. The other was a younger private, he was fairly boring and wasn't very good at cards.

"Ah to hell with it, you just play me for the cash."

"Don't say that. At least it was fun." She returned with a short laugh.

"I'll see ya later Sarge."

"See ya."

Abelle collected the credits and stashed them in a side pocket. Then she pulled out another cigarette. She it it, she'd been building an addiction to them. It was worth it too. She'd die younger, but probably happy.

The Sargent leaned back in the small recliner and inhaled deeply. She needed something better to do.

Requm Exadoos was in the Barracks bored out of his mind. As he was walking around he noticed a Sergeant smoking and decided to start up a conversation.

"Hello Sergeant." His voice in basic was gravelly, like a Black Metal vocalist. "You bored?"

"Bored as hell. Are you any good at cards?" Abelle exhaled smoke and one eye slid open. Slight interest sitting there waiting for a card game to pass the time. "Maybe we can play a game or two. You don't mind if I smoke do you?"

"Trandoshans aren't affected by it. NO I don't care. As for cards." He raised his hands showing his claws. "It's just a little hard to play. But I'll do it." He sat down in the chair across from Abele. "So what's your name anyways?"

(Mind my own misspellings of the name. I keep doing that. The name is supposed to be spelled Abelle, but I prefer the variation Abele. I have friends named abelle so I do that sometimes.)

She sat up with a soft groan and threw her hair back. "I'm Sergent Abele Hallen. Whats your name and rank?" She dealt out the cards. The game was obviously just a variation of pazaak. The rules were not stated otherwise so they were obviously the usual.

"Requm Exadoos, private, Commando." He reached for his cards, doing his best to not mess them up. "So is this what you do with your offtime Sergeant? Play cards and take money from babies?"

"No, the babies part is up to the babies. If they're any good then I have fun. If not, I get drink money." She played her cards out. A very comfortable 19, a hard hand to beat.

"Commando, eh? Where have they put you? I used to do some recon work before they gave me some command. I ran a squad under the commander." She pointed up as if to talk about the higher-ups. "The supreme commander was one a little timer. Of course he went to the academy."

"Well, mainly working on attacking pirates. I have worked a couple scouting deals on a couple places but not many. Lucky for the commander, eh?" He tried to smile but it looked more like a grimace. His hand was also a 19. "Show cards or what?"

"19, what've you got?" Then she saw his hand, not a bad hand. "Not bad, lets go again." The cards went down again. This time Abele got a 20, a great hand as far as they went. She put five credits down this time... the practice round was over.

"Friendly game, ok? No big bets."

"Good one." She put down another five credits and drew the cards. "I used to take a nice long barreled rifle and cave heads. I cans till take a man down from a mile away on a good day. I still pick the rifle up every once and a wile and take a few shots. I'm keeping in practice though."

She tossed down her cards, "Shitty hand, a seventeen."

"I believe I won." Requm shows his hand, a 20. He takes the pot and sets it down. "So a sniper eh? Mind if I borrow your rifle and shoot a bit? I only really use my staff and a pistol as my weapon." He waits as Abelle passes the cards, this time he gets a 20 as well. He places 10 down. "Well?"

She smiles and throws down a 21, "Perfect hand. I can let yuo borrow the rifle, just clean her when you're done and have her back before lights out." She collected the pot and threw down five credits. Her cigarette was nearing it's end so the tossed it in the tray and pulled out another one. She lit it an dsat back in her chair.

"You deal the cards now." She slid the deck towards him.

He takes the cards carefully. He began to shuffle them very quickly and suddenly their cards were on the table.

"I'll borrow it later, I'm intent on bringing you down." He smiles again. He looks at his hand: 21. He puts in 5 as well.

"Last hand then, one hundred in the pot or it's a no-go." She tossed down 100 credits- mostly earned from earlier with a poorer player- and grabbed her cards. "You in? Or are you some kind if pansy?''

"I've got nothing better to do." Requm places his money down. He had enough credits to live the rest of his life in peace, but he didn't spend it because he expected to die any day, fighting for what he believed. But he shuffles again. This time he gets a 21.

"Now Sergeant let me pose a question. What do you believe in?"
