PRIMARY EXPORT(S)

Art

Being that Zeltron culture itself is highly influenced by sexuality, pleasure, festivities, and a general "feel-good" vibe, much of their art, music, and literature reflect this. Some of the raunchiest pieces of art, films, and actors find their origins on the planet. Though more prudish "off-world" art can be found about the planet, the majority of Zeltron's stay true to their obscene, and obnoxiously colorful roots.
Entertainment
From holodramas to holofilms, Zeltros produces a variety of block buster movies, award winning shows, and hit songs. The entertainment industry on Zeltros is vast and encompasses many different forms of media. Though plenty of actors, musicians, and dancers come from the native Zeltron population, actors and artists from across the galaxy often find their way to the planet at some point.

High Technology

Zeltros stands as one of the largest producers of high-quality holographic technology in the galaxy. The technology itself drives one of Zeltros' few true industries, and has brought the planet vast amounts of wealth. Chances are if one is using a holographic device, especially if the device is used in tandem with any sort of entertainment or luxury good, there is a strong chance that it was manufactured on Zeltros.

See: Hologram Fun World, below.

Luxury Goods

Zeltros has, for many centuries, maintained its status as a luxury world. Many of the fine items in the galaxy ranging from: delicate soaps, intense perfumes, designer clothing, intricate jewelry, to more sophisticated architecture, furniture, and small "land" based personal transports. Most of these products are produced by small-time, extremely wealthy manufactures that rely on the expense of their products to earn their profit rather than the quantity.

Notable Export: Elixir of Infatuation

IMPORT(S)

Luxury Materials
Despite the large quantity of luxury items produced on world, the merchants and industrialists behind the manufacturing of these items often secure their resources off-world. Gold, jewels, and plenty of other materials are imported to craft items such as jewlery, though perfumes are crafted on world through the variety of flowers and oils present.
Refined Materials
To produce the technology used in holograms, Zeltros requires constant shipments of refined materials, processed enough off world to be useful enough to manufacture in their end-products.
Gourmet Consumables
As the majority of the planet serves as a vacation destination, there are often more people on the planet than the base population can or is willing to support and feed. Countless resorts, restaurants, and other luxury destinations require constant shipments of luxury food to meet the quantity and quality demanded of their guests.
Exotic Consumables
The more exotic the taste, the more expensive the shipment. Most resorts often import foods for their guests particular tastes.
History

Pre-History

The origin of the planet Zeltros, and its people the Zeltrons, are a conundrum that have left Republic historians and Biologists alike scratching their heads for years. In the earliest days of Republic expansion and exploration, the idea of discovering a paradise world such as Zeltros drove many explorers fruitlessly into the outer reaches of the Inner Rim, when it was simply known as the Rim. Though it wouldn't be discovered for thousands of years, tales of planets matching Zeltros description, or a "beautiful planet with beautiful people" would fuel myths surrounding the Rim for centuries. Whether or not these tales are a coincidence, or truly inspired from early explorers making contact with an early Zeltros, is unknown. It is unknown when humans themselves first arrived on Zeltros, but it is believed that they must have been on there for quite some time before their rediscovery by the Republic. The fact that Zeltron's were so biologically different by the time of discovery ,that they were classified as a human species separate from baseline humanity, helps put weight behind this theory.

Regardless of their origins, whether it be shipwrecked survivors of extremely early expeditions into space, or something else entirely, any records dating from this period of time are lost. It is theorized that if human colonists landed on the planet some time in the past, whatever civilization they constructed was destroyed by an early and dramatic swing in climate that forced sea levels to rise. As the majority of the land masses on Zeltros consist of continental islands, it is believed that at one point these islands had been connected either as a single continent or by several land bridges, considering the wide spread archaeological evidence of civilizations and trade between factions/empires during Zeltron pre-history. Though the majority of this ancient history is now lost under the seas of Zeltros, clues of these societies culture, advancements in technology, and religion can be found at the Temple of Zel, one of the oldest man made structures to have survived on the planet.

The Age of Expansion

The earliest written records in Zeltron history date back to the period in which the Core Worlds had just set about the construction of their federation. By this point in time, several Zeltron civilizations had mastered the art of deep-sea sailing, using the stars to guide them across the waters with relative directional ease. For the first time in remembered history, Zeltronian civilizations separated by oceans and gulfs now came into contact with one another. Though a controversial theory, it is believed that the variety of shades Zeltrons can now be found in originally stemmed from this early mixing of cultures and "races". This theory is debatable, considering within a few centuries Zeltrons had become so genetically homogenized that the idea of "race" had become antiquated, if not forgotten all-together.

Tyranny of Zel

As trade and exploration connected the Northern and Southern continents, later referred to as the Northern and Southern Provinces, cultures and ideas mixed for the very first time. One of the most notable cultures surrounded a burgeoning religion in the southern province. The worship of Zel, a goddess who had given a local Zeltron civilization "divine inspiration" (having traveled from some point past the southern continent), had quickly enveloped the Southern province. Unlike the peaceful, empathetic, and care free people of the Northern province, those of the Southern province had been hardened by Zel's teachings. The religion spoke of passion and war before love and peace, and those who followed the worship of Zel had convinced themselves that they were destined to control both provinces.

Though records are far and few in between, a war commenced between the civilizations of the North and the South. This war is believed to have ended in Southern supremacy for more than a thousand years, but a later revolutions, infighting, and destruction of temples dedicated to Zel would tip the balance and finally end southern dominance. All that can truly be said of this period is that once it was over, the Zeltrons had abandoned religion completely in favor for the original culture of the North, and all historical records of the Southern civilizations and their cultures were destroyed or lost to time.

A Society of Love

After the time known as the Tyranny of Zel had ended, both the Northern and Southern Provinces had been irrevocably changed. Whatever technological advancements that had been brought to the North from the South had been eradicated along with their culture, casting both Provinces into a veritable dark age for almost 500 years. During this dark age, though, the modern culture of Zeltros that is witnessed today formed within the Northern province.

Peace, love, and dedication to the more pleasurable aspects of life spread across the continent. Though there were still wars, the majority of Zeltron society found saftey in isolated monarch ruled city-states along the coasts of their continental islands, as well as the interior. For the first time in history, infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and harbors were constructed to connect these city states. Trade would only serve to spread the Northern culture to their southern counter-parts.

A Power in the South

Had it not been for the spread and later destruction of the Tyranny of Zel, the two provinces might have come into contact with the isolated semi-continent to the south much earlier. Unlike their counterparts to the North, the island of Zelost had remained relatively peaceful and advanced for centuries. Carrying the teachings of Zel with them upon first contact with the Southern province, it was soon discovered that this continent to the south served as the true birth place for the terrible religion. Original attempts at conversion were futile and vehemently resisted by the civilizations of the Southern Province.

The War at the Edge of The World

Religious conflict in the southern coasts of the southern province pushed the city states of both provinces to form alliances for the first time in history. These alliances led to the raising of grand armies and navies that would move south to fight a crusade against the religious tyranny that worshipers of Zel promised.

Though advanced in fortification, navy, and weaponry, the island of Zelost lacked the numbers it required to face the combined might of both provinces. The sub-continent fell after multiple wars spanning over several centuries,. The secrets of the their advancements were pillaged and brought back to the city-states, effectively bringing about an age of advancement for both provinces. Roads and bridges became more advanced, ships stronger and able to sail farther, medical advances such as germ theory and inoculation become common-place, and early nations began to form.

The Age of Advancement

For the next two thousand years, untold peace was accompanied with untold technological advancement. The city-states of antiquity had long either fallen or fell into the governance of local city states. Nations had formed. Colonies would later stem from those nations and become nations themselves, sending colonies further out into the far flung reaches of the planet until a majority of Zeltros had been mapped and inhabited. By the time Core World explorers had begun to explore the Inner Rim, Zeltron society had already entered an industrial revolution. Entertainment, art, and sexuality became the pinnacles of society, and the majority of goods produced by these early factories were meant to meet these needs. Capitalism spread and died early in the southern continent, allowing something akin to a more democratic socialistic society to merge in the North.

Zeltron empathy, and the further spread of ideals surrounding freedom and pleasure made war a rare event, bringing diplomacy to the forefront of the world stage. Though a unified planetary government was never achieved before the discovery of the Republic, many political scientists believe it would have naturally drifted toward such without outside intervention. By this time, the city of Qrys had become a manufacturing giant, and Zelost a hub of education and science.

The Age of Discovery

The first satellites were launched into space not due to a want to explore, competition between provinces, or ease of communication. These very first satellites were set out to confirm strange garbled signals that had been discovered as the information age dawned on the Zeltron race. Without an ability to pinpoint these strange signals, a massive debate ensued between all nations as to whether a response should be made. In the end, for better or for worst, the decision was taken out of their hands entirely by a single scientist working in the Temple of Zel, on the island of Zelost.

The temple of Zel, during the Age of Advancement, had been studied by numerous archaeologists, scientists, and historians alike. Though records were slim, actual carbon dating and excavation revealed that thought the outside of the temple and its stone facades were built sometime during the Tyranny of Zel, the strange metal alloy underneath had been there for quite some time.

Though the scientist would later claim to have discovered the secrets of this strange structure, the journals collected toward the end of his life revealed that he had slipped and bumped into something that appeared to be a minor impression on the wall. This would set forth a chain of events that would see a signal pulsed from Zeltros, directly out of the solar system. The speed of this frequency baffled scientists of the time, and a sense of dread enveloped the planet for the first time in centuries, as all eyes turned toward the skies above to see what would come forth.

Contact

It is enshrined in every young Zeltron's mind that in the year 5,000 BBY, everything changed. All major societies around the world prepared for war, trade, peace, or simple annihilation. When unidentified flying objects appeared above the island of Zelost, the people of Zeltros were taken aback by their first contact with alien life.

Unlike some other worlds, the first species to make contact with the Zeltrons were the Duros. Their green/gray skin and amber eyes perplexed them, but what happened next dumbfounded them. As soon as the aliens took off their helmets, and breathed in the type 1 atmosphere of the planet, to the surprise of both species their demeanor completely changed, overwhelmingly so. The Duros were stricken with such a sense of ecstasy that they could barely stand. From the dawn of history Zeltron's had known of their empathetic tendencies, but they had never once understood the overwhelming nature of their pheromones.

After the Duros explorers had gained their senses once more, and re-dawned their helmets, they were ushered to the Northern Provience and the nation of Zeltros, where the capital and ex-city-state Zeltros sat as the diplomatic hub of the known world. In this city, the Zeltrons agreed to join the Galactic Republic and forever change the course of their history.

The Age of the Republic

Zeltros culture, national identity, and politics shifted dramatically in the coming century. Within less than one hundred years the nations of the provinces had banded together under the unified banner of a single government. The capital, situated in Zeltros city, became the inspiration for the common name of the planet, as Zeltron's lost their own tongue and adopted the common tongue of the Galactic Republic.

The fabled pheromones of the Zeltrons did not stay a secret for long, and soon, explorers from across the galaxy showed up on the planet's door-step to experience the euphoria inducing, yet invisible gasses themselves. Though Zeltron's noticed their pheromones were far less potent as they left their home world, the natural enhancement to their charisma brought untold opportunity for those willing to leave their world.

In the coming centuries, the influx of tourism to Zeltros would slowly bring it toward the luxury world status it would eventually hold so dear. Unlike other planets, in which the native population became dominated by human settlement, the potent ability for the Zeltrons to manipulate on their home world kept their populations strong and safe. Resorts and businesses would grow across the world, and before long most manufacturing became completely automated. For the first time in history, the great majority of the Zeltron population could live in general leisure if they chose to.

Modern Zeltros

Modern day Zeltros remains one of the largest and most famous luxury worlds in the galaxy. Though a luxury world in the broadest sense, Zeltros still maintains a significant defense force and fleet, prepared to repel any who might seek to plunder the planet of its luxury. Despite the forces protecting the planet, the true secret weapon of the Zeltrons remains in its atmosphere. All notable invasions to date have broken apart the moment ground troops have set foot on the planets surface, being overwhelmed by the sheer potency of Zeltronian pheromones in the atmosphere.
Government

The Government of Zeltros is headed by an elective monarchy, which serves for a decade before their rule ends, and are elected by a popular majority of both the North and South Province. The elected monarchs serve as the head of state, and the effective executive branch of government. The Monarchy heads all foreign affairs, trade deals, and declarations of war. The elected monarchs preside over a legislative congress consisting of an equal amount of representatives appointed by each Province, with several appointed from the island of Zelost, in case of ties or factional division.

The majority of inter-planetary governance is headed by the governorships of the Northern and Southern provinces. Both governors are elected by their citizens, again by popular majority, and serve for 5 year terms. The Governors are charged with appointing judges for federal courts, while local judges, leaders, etc. are left to popular elections of citizens within the region.

The planetary defense force is headed by the elected monarchy, but has sat in relative dormancy for the last century. The majority of the defense force is bolstered, in case of emergency, by a voluntary army comprised of ordinary citizens, as well as a small reserve force.

Culture

[Note: Pulled (almost) directly from the wiki (cut out some parts to not be redundant, such as the EU version of Hologram fun world), in hopes to stay true to Zeltron's in general. This is the only true part, beyond the "basic" information box in which the wiki has been explicitly and directly drawn from without a great deal of expansion.]

Zeltron culture was highly influenced by sexuality and the pursuit of pleasure in general. Most of their art and literature was devoted to the subject, producing some of the raciest pieces in the galaxy. They looked upon monogamy as a quaint, but impractical, practice. They were also very gifted with holograms.

Zeltrons were known to dress in wildly colorful or revealing attire. It was common to see Zeltrons wearing shockingly bright shades of neon colors in wildly designed bikinis, or nearly skin tight clothing of other sorts with bizarre color designs, patterns, and symbols.

Zeltrons were often stereotyped as lazy thrill-seekers, owing to their hedonistic pursuits. Indeed, their homeworld of Zeltros thrived as a luxury world and "party planet," as much for their own good as for others. If anyone wasn't having a good time on Zeltros, the Zeltrons would certainly know of it, and would do their best to correct it. Though their first inclination was to love, if pushed to do so, Zeltrons could prove to be formidable warriors.

Added:

Zeltrons are known for their celebrations, and are often known to celebrate almost anything. However, one of the more notable (actual) holidays celebrated by Zeltron's is known as Smoochas. Named after one of their moons, the celebration happens during the planet's summer solstice. During Smoochas, Zeltrons will often exchange beads with one another in exchange for a kiss. Though one does not have to accept the beads or the kiss, it is considered rude not too.

Even after 4,000 years, any Duros who happens to find his way to Zeltros will be treated exceptionally well. Free drink, food, and even stays at resorts are often given to any tired Duros Explorer making his or her way through the stars.
Technology

Despite its late introduction into the Galactic Republic, its rise to the status of a luxury world, as well as its position on three major trade routes, has allowed Zeltros to advance to a technological state deemed common among the major worlds of the Inner Rim and colonies.
Geography of Zeltros

Northern Province

(Located in the Northern Hemisphere of the planet, this massive continent holds a majority of the population of Zeltros. Far more urbanized than its neighbor to the south, the Northern Province boasts the majority of the more exclusive resorts on the planet, tucked away in one of the few mountain ranges at the north east of the continent.)

Zeltros City

Zeltros_zpsb0f65ed9.jpg

Both a constantly expanding metropolis, and capital of the planet Zeltros, Zeltros city serves as the major political hub of the planetary government. It is by far the largest city, and is filled with thousands of hotels, clubs, restaurants, and other luxuries. Located in the heart heart of the Northern province, one of the most notable features of the capital is the large central river that cuts through the middle of the city, strecthing all the way to the Northern Sea. Though Zeltros city only maintains a Stellar Class space port, the majority if its small defense navy sits in direct orbit above the city.

Chaas

A_near_future_by_merl1ncz.jpg

Chaas is the second largest city of the Northern Province, and by far one of the seediest locations on the planet. Though filled with the celebrations and festivities come to be known around the world, it is also the center of the illegal spice trade on the planet. While the spice in itself isn't directly legal, its transport, packaging, and distribution is. This city features a standard class space port.

Praxxa
endless_streets.jpg

The city of Praxxa serves as the industrial and scientific hub of the Northern Province. The city is cramped, and built vertically instead of horizontally. Massive skyscrapers reach up toward the sky, and the majority of transport within the city is conducted through its mass public transport trams, able to slip in between the tight nooks and crannies of the towers. This city features a stellar class star port.

The Southern Province

(The Southern Province is located partially in the Northern Hemisphere of the planet, but the majority of the land mass is located through the equator and the Southern Hemisphere. The planet holds more rugged terrain, including the famous equatorial jungles on the planet, in which many chose to take their more adventurous vacations. The Southern province boasts the highest industrial capacity on the planet.)

Elysium
8d0dca8ded800bb917d7d4918631656a.jpg

Positioned near the southern coast of the Southern Province, Elysium serves as the "resort" city of Zeltros. Countless resorts, hotels, and restaurants fill the city, as the city is completely dedicated to both luxury as well as tourism. The majority of on world tourists will find their way here, as the more obscure and remote resorts are often the most expensive. This city features several standard class space ports.

Qrys

future-city1.jpg

The industrial hub of the planet, Qrys leads the production of holographic technology as well as luxury goods. Though luxury goods are often handled by small time businesses and merchants, HoloTech Industries holds all of its major factories here. Though few holofilms are actually produced within the city, the majority of labels and recording studios can be found here. This city features the planet's only Republic Class space port.

Hologram Fun World

972132_781128.gif

Serving as a major tourist destination, Hologram Fun World employs a monumental ammount of holograms to create the variety of simulations, experiences, and games found within the park. Admission is cheap, and the quality holograms ensure a spectacular experience. This one location features more tourism, consitently, than any other place on the planet, only second to Elysium.

Zelost

(A Sub continent, or large island located in the Southern Hemisphere of the planet, around a thousand miles south of the Southern Province. Though Zelost is small, it carries the technological advancement of the entire planet with it.)

Zelost
1130139823.jpg

Though the smallest of the major cities, the once great city-state of Zelost still maintains its status by being the scientific and technological hub of Zeltros. being the most technologically advanced city on the planet, it boasts a highly educated population. It is one of the few places in which Zeltron's actively pursue an academic life, more than the constant celebratory life witnessed on the rest of the planet. Though slightly more up-tight than the rest, they still enjoy the standard culture of their brethren, if not a bit more responsibly. HoloTech Industries conducts almost all of its Research and Development within the city, owning several of the skyscrapers, and having their head quarters stationed inside of one. This city features a stellar class star port.

Temple of Zel

birds%20artwork%201920x1200%20wallpaper_www.wallpaperhi.com_92.jpg

Located on the southern coast of Zelost, (seen in the far left corner of the picture), the Temple of Zel has played a prominent role in most of Zeltros' history. Though the location is now little more than a relic, partially ruined, some archaeological and scientific research is still conducted there. The leading theory as to the origin of the temple, is that it was the original ship the first humans that became Zeltrons must have used to land on the planet. The ruins are in such a state of decay by now, that the truth behind them might not ever be known. Several force sensitives who have journeyed to the location claim that the temple as an "eerie" atmosphere about it, and that they can almost sense "something" deeper within the ruined complex. This site is one of the few locations actively defended by Zeltron security forces.

Intent

Zeltros could be considered one of the most notable luxury/vacation planets within the star wars universe. Their entire culture is practically based around it, yet any true description of the planet is almost completely absent, besides what we can glean from the comics surrounding them. This profile should serve as a go-to for people wanting to post on Zeltros, yet they have no idea how to truly describe the setting in which they are posting. I hope that this opens the door for people to post and create more intricate stories on the planet.
