Not getting alerted to tags

Hi. Yes, I have checked my alert preferences.

I was tagged in this thread:

No alert. Please can you make sure this doesn't happen again somehow, Mr.Technowizard, sir?

I delete it. I accidentally posted the thread in the wrong place so it was my fault.

It is because the tag was edited in after the initial posting. Tags only work propely if they are in place upon posting. Edited tags will not notify the taggee.
