Dude, playing as the Marines - or ODSTs - would be awesome.

You'd actually have to have some kinda strategy involved, and it would be a more co-op based experience. Besides, who wants to play as the souped-up, demigod, nigh invincible Master Chief all the time?

As long as they keep the controls tight and the gameplay in the style of halo, I'm all for it. Playing as the chief is awesome and all, but some variety to spice things up would be nice.

They obviously won't be. The style of the teasers themselves are different, and so is the fact that you're no longer going to be playing as a genetically enhanced super-human.

I sure hope not.

I see this game being kind of like that new Metal Gear Solid where instead of fighting everything you encounter you could avoid it. Hence the "Recon" aspect of it. This game sounds a lot more fun to me, because reading the books then comparing it to the game was crazy. In the Halo: The Flood book the Masterchief wasn't godly, he knew what his capabilities were and stuck to them. In no way did he kill 90% of the covenant forces then blow the ring up to destroy the rest. Reading the Library part of the book showed how you would have to use tactics to get by, and that is why this game intrigues me. I'd rather have to sneak around and silently kill grunts so they don't alert Jackles Elites or Hunters, than go in guns a blazing and kill everything.

I'd look forward to being an ODST. They're so much cooler than Spartans, i think. When they aren't talking.

It'll be interesting to see the story from another perspective. Hopefully, the graphics and gameplay will be better than in Halo 3, and the storyline better, although, from Halo 3, that's not hard.

I doubt there will be any huge graphical kick in the rear as this is just a download (also comes with a few multiplayer maps). Still, it's gonna be tough without that energy shield and the run and gunners will be pissed (i.e. the little kids, but they only seem to populate multiplayer).

You need to crank it up onto legendary, you haven't beaten halo until you've beaten it on legendary.

Shit, don't forget the lube if you try that on your own. Not especially hard but definately frustrating.

I don't doubt it, I managed to beat halo 2 on Heroic, but geeze, theres nothing better then struggling to defeat a horde of white elites, two of which wielding energy swords, the rest dual wielding plasma rifles, and you're down to your last plasma grenade with only a half loaded SMG and a plasma pistol...

I actually beat it with some friends the other day on Legendary. I'm just saying, an ODST will be like, 500 times weaker than any Spartan, thus will have a much harder time taking down enemies.
